It’s def better than your avg revolving sushi place. The salmon was fresh and the rolls were pretty good. Happy hour is always fun. Dont forget you can ask for brown rice and soy paper. Wish they had a larger selection of items offered… Overall not too shabby.

I enjoyed their happy hour. All sushis and rolls are $ 3 between 3 – 6 every day. Not a bad choice for a mid day meal.

My favorite sushi bar! It’s organic and they options for everyone. I love their American twist on some of the combinations and it’s affordable yet the quality isn’t compromised.

I love coming to Blue C. I think the prices are fair for the food you’re getting. When I come in, although I need to wait an extra few minutes I can see that they are making my food fresh in front of me. I love the taste of the salmon here, it tastes fresh. They have great service and I feel like the waiters are always trying to make my experience the best. I highly recommend it.

So revolving sushi bars can be deemed cheesy, right? But then again, who wouldn’t want food that literally comes to you? So I’m certainly a fan of the cheese. We came around dinnertime and it was not that busy. But a lot of the plates were empty. So maybe everyone was super hungry or it really was busy. We started with soft drinks and teas. And immediately got to grabbing plates! If you are unfamiliar, the plates are color coded and the menu tells you the price so you can’t claim/feign sticker shock.(Unless you’re color blind, then you’ll probably suffer with the prices here :)) We all got random things – cold edamame, cold noodle salad, seattle roll, double shrimp crunch roll, rainbow roll, philly roll(we had to ask them to make it as it never came around on the conveyor belt). You can also order off their menu for non-sushi items, such as miso soups, tempura vegetables, rice bowls, etc. It’s pretty easy to follow. Blue C definitely has some cool/novel rolls. One tasted like nachos. Another was the ceviche roll. Interesting! I stayed pure and had salmon nigiri, seattle roll, philly roll, veggie egg roll, pork gyoza. I even tried the green tea rice krispies(which definitely tasted like green tea) and the blue cotton candy. The gluten free chocolate chip cookie looked like it didn’t taste good. What is something interesting and noted in Rodney S’s review is the RFID tag in each plate. At many revolving sushi bars, you don’t know how long the food has been sitting there or when it was made or by whom. I like that attention to quality and it makes it a value add for the customer. It can add up because you are just excited to try so many delicious dishes. We ended up paying $ 35 a person which is not bad. FYI– Happy hour ends at 6. Shucks!

I love this place. If you go to Fashion Island, be sure to check it out. Their fish is very fresh and delicious. My family and I particularly adore the salmon nigiri, yellowtail nigiri, and octopus nigiri. They also make an awesome seared albacore nigiri that I can’t get enough of, which comes with a deliciously tangy touch of sauce and crispy shallots. The staff and chefs are always very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has a clean and relaxed environment. Moreover, being there is just fun!

I’ve been here multiple times, mostly out of convenience and for happy hour. You can always get a seat here and happy hour prices are great, but if you are looking for some good sushi I would go elsewhere. The concept of this restaurant is cool with the revolving beltway, but the sushi is basically for people who don’t really eat authentic sushi. The majority of the selection is California Rolls, and the most exotic it gets is a «Seattle Roll». Overall, I wouldn’t recommend someone who is craving sushi to necessarily stop in here, but if you are looking for a snack between shopping or a non crowded happy hour at Fashion Island, this would be a stop to satisfy that need.

Food: 2⁄5 Environment: 3⁄5 Price: $ 30/Person Service: 4⁄5 I visited the Fashion Island mall and wanted to have a good dinner. I was craving for sushi, and I found this sushi-on-revolving-belt place. The night I went there, the place was really empty. There was 1 or 2 tables there. I had high expectation, but the sushi here is like fast food sushi, except it was pretty expensive. The sushi was pretty dry, and the noodle was too salty that I could not finish it. The idea of having sushi on the belt is cool, but there were not enough dish on the belt. The sushi on the belt does not taste fresh to me, and they did not mind to fill the empty spots. So I got the same dishes running on the belt whole night.

I work in the mall so Blue C’s Happy Hour is awesome. Never been a fan of conveyer belt sushi but for lunch this place is good, if I wanted great I’d head to Sushi Roku at 10 times the price.

They have cold beer answer bad sushi. Go to a bar. The service is slow and the sushi is dry and taste like it’s been sitting all day. They lack selection. Edited, so my review was noticed after I made this review by the restaurant and I was only charged for the beer. They were friendly. Only reason I give one star is because of the sushi and poor service we didn’t get Wasabi until after we ate. Thanks for noticing. 2 stars.

You have to appreciate this place for what it is. Is it a bit gimmicky? Sure. Are all of the rolls strictly sushi? Hell no.(that being said, the tuna BLT should not work, on any level — and yet, it’s kind of amazing). Service has always been decent, but given that you pick your sushi off of the revolving belt — what do they really need to do? You tend to get in and out of this place pretty quickly, and it’s a great spot before catching a movie.

We came here Saturday for lunch. It was happy hour so they had drink specials and free edamame which was cool. The décor inside is bright, modern, and clean. Happy hour looks good and I will definitely have to try it next time! We had: Salmon Sushi — Fresh, large slices of Salmon but too much rice. Yellowtail Sushi — Buttery and delicious Sea Bream Sushi(seasonal) — Stuffed with Chiso leaf and yuzu which gave it a fresh, earthy, and delicate flavor. They were out of Uni and Toro(sad face). My boyfriend is obsessed with rolls so he had California Roll, Spicy California Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Spicy tuna crunch Roll. I had a couple of pieces and it was good. Quality was good considering it was a revolving sushi bar. You can’t really expect the sushi to «wow» you. But what made me subtract a star was the pricing. Too pricey for average sushi and rolls. Service was a bit slow and we had to keep asking for water refills despite the fact that it wasn’t even busy. Overall, would be back to try their happy hour and try their cocktails and light bites but that’s about it.

Clean restaurant, friendly staffs. Super over priced sushi. Sushi plates range from $ 2.5-$ 6. At other rotating sushi restaurant can probably get it for $ 2.25−2.50 ish. Being pricey is one thing but the $ 6 dish doesn’t look good and it only has 4 pieces of sushi roll that looks like California roll with avocado on top. Their $ 2.5 dishes is chocolate chip cookie, few pieces of chocolate brownie. lol wtf Because all the sushi doesn’t look worth it so we ordered none sushi and a sashimi combo. Udon soup — $ 6 — average, small. That one shrimp tempura is soggy AF and small Salmon teriyaki bowl — $ 8 — average. Sauce is good but without the sauce the salmon is a little dry Chicken katsu bowl — $ 6 — just okay! Kinda dry but there is a lot of chicken Sashimi combo — $ 25 — 12 to 14 pieces — not bad. I’d recommend this because the fish was rather fresh Overall, would never come back.

Blue C’s revolving sushi bar makes it a quick sit down meal! There is a decent variety of nigiri sushi, rolls, and cooked food. Only downside is that I have yet to see all the plates on the revolving line full. However, if you’re looking for a particular dish, feel free to ask the waiter to place an order in for it. They don’t have anything too fancy, such as uni or sweet shrimp, but most of the basics are covered. I’ve been here a few times and will only come back for happy hour(3−6pm). During happy hour, all dishes are $ 3, while during regular hours the dishes vary from $ 3 – 6, making the meal much pricier. TIP: Be sure to ask for a stamp card! They also do mall employee discounts.

The interior is very clean and chic. A conveyor belt goes around the restaurant from table to table delivering plates of sushi and other goods. I arrived at the restaurant a little before 12, and there was only one other table seated. There were well over 100 dishes on the conveyor belt. I thought to myself, «how long have these dishes been on the conveyor belt», and«how long did it take for them to be prepared?». The sushi definitely was not fresh as it had been on the belt for some time and there was no one there to consume it, other than myself and the other table consisting of 2 patrons. Salmon nigiri($ 4.75) — In my opinion this was pricy. The sushi was lukewarm and there was nothing special in terms of taste. It tasted just ok and for the price one would expect a bit more. Tuna tostada($ 6) — This consisted of 2 small tostada shells with tuna, onions, cilantro, and radishes. It was accompanied by a onion relish. The tuna tasted fresh here, as this was a made to order item. Each piece was so small, that I don’t think the price was justified. Crispy calamari($ 5) — Taste wise this wasn’t bad. There was however a lot of tempura on the calamari which seemed to overpower the calimari. A chile dipping sauce was provided as well. Chicken teriyaki($ 4) — The chicken was dry and had teriyaki sauce slathered on it it. The small bowl that it as served in had rice and some edamame. This was another mediocre dish. However, it had a very nice presentation. California roll($ 3.50) — This was a disappointment as well. 4 pieces of luke-warm California roll. Taste wise there was nothing special about this. Everything tasted like it had been out for too long. I had considered getting more sushi, but after looking at the sushi plates going by me, I didn’t think anything looked fresh. Overall this place did not have fresh sushi. However, if one wants fresher sushi, one should order from the chef directly. Price wise this place is expensive, especially given the quality of sushi being served. Overall the experience for me was a huge disappointment and extremely expensive for the offerings.

The only revolving sushi place I’ve been to before Blue C. Was Kula at Diamond Jamboree. Sushi is cheap and room temperature at Kula. At Blue C. Sushi is cold, fresh and tastefully put together well! The way it works is that every plate you pick off the conveyer belt, it’s all color coordinated. Eat carefully hehe, it can rack up! I went on a Monday evening and it was great, I had a great experience. Plates on the belt can be from 2.50 to 6.00 each. My experience here was phenomenal but! Only because of Cisco, one of the sushi chefs. It was kinda quiet at this time but he was SO attentive. I think he noticed my brother and I staring at the conveyer belt for some minutes just waiting to see what we wanted, this is like ¾ into our meal and he whips us a roll on the house! We asked what it was and he said he just made it up. We couldn’t find it on the menu, but it was deep fried with jalapeños/bell pepper and it was absolutely filling! The presentation was even awesome. My brother got the green tea ice cream for dessert and for $ 2.50, I HAD to get cotton candy. GET the cotton candy!!! Cisco made mine and mine was the same size as one at the fairs, just slightly smaller and definitely fresh. The waitresses/hosts were ok, I heard the table next to us complaining a lot because they would forget their drinks or not accommodate them quickly but, I guess you either make nice with the chef or get stuck. Lol, just kidding. In the end, my brother and I managed to rack up $ 60 worth of sushi, dessert included and a $ 5 tip(yeah we are cheap, oh well) and we wanted to personally tip Cisco, he made our first time a great experience. He was so nice and was willing to help us customize our sushi and etc. I’ll be back, I got a stamp card so I’ll be trying to get 10 stamps!

Happy Hour is where it’s at! Just after watching a movie we wanted a snack so wandering around Fashion Island we came across Blue C Sushi offering Happy Hour. For $ 20, three people got fed and drinks, great deal especially the $ 2 beers! We sat at the bar, so they made our order fresh and brought it over to us. The fish was pretty fresh, but rolls only come with four pieces. If you were expecting a meal maybe order a little more than what you think to. Really like the open feeling to the place, naturally flooded with sunlight it made for a relaxing afternoon. The inside layout is so similar to the Hollywood location, the patio is also a good option.

Came here for restaurant week and ordered the miso soup, spicy tuna on crispy rice, couple rolls and nigiri, chicken katsui and finished it off with deep fried brownie with green tea ice cream. This restaurant is located upstairs next to blaze pizza and lemonade. It wasn’t quite as busy as I expected to me. The décor was inviting and I appreciated how the layout was spaced and wasn’t knocking heads with people behind me. I have to say the stars is for the fish. It was so fresh for a revolving sushi bar. Most places the quality is eh but this place had the softest cuts of fresh fish that it basically melted in my mouth. Caught me off guard! Please note that the prices here are higher than your average revolving sushi place(a bit ridiculous in some instances) but the quality was spot on. The chicken katsui was good but was overpowered by the abundance of sauce that was slathered on the chicken as well as rice. I wasn’t a huge fan of the deep fried brownie, partly because I’m not a huge fan of sweets, but also because the balance of brownie to ice cream was way off. I could of used a couple more scoops of ice cream or less brownie– they will give you vanilla flavor ice cream so ask for green tea if you’re a fan. If I came back, I’d just stick with the nigiri or pick from the revolver — yum!

I came back here during the weekday. It wasn’t the same as when I went to the Unilocal event and the place wasn’t as busy. I’m not sure if the location has something to do with the foot traffic or maybe it was the day I went but I felt a bit odd sitting by myself at the restaurant. Later on, I realized there were some people on the other half of the restaurant so I wasn’t completely alone. Most of the dishes on the conveyor belt were rolls or vegetarian dishes. Had to ask one of the chefs to make me some nigiri and he was really fast. The sushi was fresh and I had a few plates of nigiri before I called it a day. Service was fast and they were friendly. Place is clean and new. Hopefully business picks up.
