Absolutely amazing food! Service is great. All their employees are kind and attentive. The prices are reasonable for around this part of SoCal. Definitely recommend going here.

Was really excited to try this place out, because it’s so close to my house & the reviews made it seem like a great place to eat. I think the prices are a bit too high for a place you order at the counter, and don’t have a server. I ordered the Cobb salad(who doesn’t love a good Cobb salad), and the first bite in I was immediately disappointed. The chicken not only tastes like a very generic, cheap, flavorless chicken… but I also bit into a piece that was extremely hard & spit it all out. Tossed the $ 13 salad away & wont be coming back.

I eat here fairly often now since it is so close to my office. The quality of food here is really great. All the meats are fresh carved and their meatloaf is my absolute favorite. They also have great sweet potato fries. If you’re looking for a great sandwich for lunch or a quick dinner option this is your place.

I’ve only been here once but will definitely return. Loved everything about it. I mean what’s not to love? …champagne near a beach location with great food and access to a patio! :) super relaxing. Favorites: breakfast menu and mimosas

What happened to this place? The food is just horrible now. If I’m paying over $ 10 for a salad, I’d better get more than a ¼ cup of watery chicken salad over my romaine lettuce. What I did get was a nice puddle of water at the bottom of my salad plate. Disgusting. I’ll never go back when there are so many other places to eat around here.

Came here for a breakfast meeting and ordered their blueberry pancakes with bacon on the side. Pancakes were good but the blueberries became a little overwhelming after a while because they were pretty sour. Bacon was good, but bacon is always good. Customer service was great though.

I live close to this location and everytime I come here with an open mind, Im disappointed. To summarize, the kids that work here are poor at customer service, the food is average, and the prices are relatively expensive considering all this. Too bad, this is the type of place I would like to frequent considering how close I live to it. I end up now going to the starbucks next door, I know what I am getting when I go there!

3.5 stars… Came at noon on a Monday afternoon. For those who havent been, this place is fast casual, seating inside and out. Line up, order, and sit with your number; they bring the food to your table. Line was short, but all the tables were full. Luckily, i found the last one available, but it was outside on the patio. Food came out quickly; I got the salad and soup combo — caesar and turkey chili. Salad was a’ight, but the croutons were a little stale. The turkey chili was awesome though– lots of meat, and big chunks of bell peppers. Very filling for a small cup. Service was good, and they checked on me periodically(made me feel bad for not leaving a tip when I ordered!). When the server noticed the table was wobbly, he fixed it for me. Here are the cons: Sticky tables(we’re talking velcro sounds when you lift your cup), chairs held together with tape, patio door slams really loud(like jump out of your seat loud). But overall, I thought it was a good, quick meal.

Can you say CROSSCONTAMINATION? First of all I was only person in line and there were 3 people at 3 different registers. The girl bipassed the employee to take my order 1st. Nice. Or maybe I should have waited. A simple order of pancakes i had to repeat 3x. I guess i should have repeated the side of bacon 6x cuz when I got my food no bacon. She didnt charge me for it and I was on my way to work and couldnt wait any longer so I just hung my head shaking it as she asked me if I wanted to order some. I HAD ordered some… but I just walked out not wanting to deal with it. Now lets talk about cross contamination… When ones food say pancakes tastes like another food that is not an ingredient and hopefully never should be say Jalapenos. YES!!! MYPANCAKESTASTEDLIKEJALAPENOS!!! WTF! Im slightly allergic but had no choice but to eat them since I forgot my wallet at home and didnt have time or money to purchase another meal. So I had force them down dealing with heartburn the rest of the day. Oh and along with itchiness around my mouth. So they probably used a spatula on eggs or something with lots of JALAPENOS !!! And then straight to my pancakes. Im still scratching my face in discomfort. When I started working over there again I started going here once a week. I noticed that the service had gone waaaay down since I had worked across the street in 2012. Quality a bit too. Now this time its a double hitter and Ill never return. All I got to say is if it was capers YOUWOULDHAVEKILLEDME!!! so sad to loose a go to spot. If you have allergies or dont mind poor service and food tasting like something different than it should, go here. Other than that… Youve been warned!

The boss works employees that are sick and doesn’t allow them to go home, poor girl had to go to the bathroom to avoid coughing on our food. Talked to her and her boss wouldn’t let her go home.

I’m not sure why they have an aggregate 3.5 star rating. Even though I’ve been coming here for 20 years plus, back when it was more of a gourmet market, I feel that my review is impartial. They serve Boar’s Head subs and awesome market salads. I would recommend the French dip w/shoestring fries any night of the week. Very friendly staff to boot.

Yay for take out! This place gets super busy at lunch or morning brunch so call ahead with your order if it’s to go. Today’s purpose was chicken soup for our sick household(yep we both have it). The soup is perfect and comes with a perfect amount of bread. Recommend the almond chicken salad sandwich and all of the salad choices are good too. Have only had takeout so can’t speak to service for dine in. They have always got the take out orders right though and who doesn’t appreciate that?!

I like this place! They serve breakfast until 2pm on the weekends, which is a huge plus for me(& my mom!), so that’s what I usually get when I come here. My mom and I usually split their Champagnes Ranch Combo which comes with potatoes, eggs, bacon or sausage, toast, fruit and French toast or pancakes. The best part is that when we order, we tell them we’re sharing or that we want to split it, and they split the whole meal for you! So much better than giving you an extra plate for you to divide the meal yourself. I must mention that their blueberry pancakes are pretty darn good! Oh, I also like that they now ask if you want all egg whites for your eggs. Not many places offer that right away! Now, the only reason why I’m giving them 3 stars is because the price of the food doesn’t quite match the quality. Sure, the food is good, but there isn’t anything ‘wow’ or ‘oooh, I have to try this because it looks one-of-a-kind’ for me to give it anything higher. Plus, most of the dishes they offer is something you could make yourself(for probably a lot cheaper) or could go elsewhere for cheaper too. I can give maybe a 3.5 star, at most.

So yummy!!! Took my kids here after desperately trying to steer them away from donuts at the neighborhood bakery, and was sooooooo happy. They had a balanced delicious breakfast including eggs, fruit, and blueberry pancakes. So much better then junk yuck!!! I’m so glad I bribed them into this delicious place, cute outdoor patio, and fresh to order yumminess. My 8&10 year old were so happy and I was a much happier mom!!! Did I mention there is a Starbucks next door :) yay

I remember a time when Champagne Deli was a cozy little place that offered delicious salads and custom sandwiches piled high with meat and cheese. You could stop in and pick up a great picnic for an afternoon at the beach. Now a full service restaurant serving overpriced breakfast and lunch fare, but all the uniqueness and charm of the old deli is gone. If you enjoy paying an average of $ 2 – 3 more per person, sticky tables, patio chairs that are held together with tape, and a parking lot situation that will give you high blood pressure, come here. The breakfast is bland. The sandwiches need more meat, and cheese is $ 0.79 extra on top of a $ 9 sandwich. This is a Denny’s or IHOP for the aspirational OC Housewife. $ 8 for a breakfast sandwich. $ 9 for a breakfast burrito. The only deal on the menu is a giant bowl of oatmeal for $ 4. Unfortunately, with everything else, you just don’t get what you pay for. The staff seemed generally unhappy and were about as welcoming as colonial Americans forced to quarter British soldiers. Is the high margin on the $ 9 breakfast burrito being shared with the staff, I wonder?

Went for lunch today and I was underwhelmed. The food was mediocre but the employees ruined my experience. They were all lazy and rude. We asked them to refill the coffee and one worker pointed to another. Then with hesitation, the other one went and changed it out and didn’t even look us in the eye. My food was overcooked too. The bus boy was on his break with his feet on the chair, sitting next to us, arguing with another worker about his break not being over yet and having to go back to work. Needless to say, they were unprofessional and unorganized. I will not be back.

I’ve been here many times over the years, and yesterday came back after a while away. It’s the same, which is a good thing. Also, I came here after a long trail run and was starving! I ordered pancakes. They were massive and exactly what I wanted. Very satisfying. My running buddy had a breakfast sandwich, which was also massive and she said it was good. We also agreed that we should have shared, as it was a lot of food. I’m glad this restaurant has stayed consistent over the years. It’s a gem. The service is very friendly and the restaurant is clean. Eat here if you can!

I will never understand how I’ve never been here till now! My boyfriend lives across the street and we pass by it all the time. We were craving a delicious sammich and Champagne’s left us feeling satisfied! There is an outside, covered patio that is so pleasant to enjoy a sammich. I ordered a bbq chicken sammich with shoestring fries. My bf had a submarine sammich with all sorts of cold cuts and veggies. It was the perfect lunch to the end of a perfect weekend. Ps they have really yummy dessert too! Staff is friendly and gave me a lot of suggestions before I decided to get the bbq chicken. Enjoy!!!

Champagnes Bistro and Deli makes for a great breakfast or lunch if you are in the Bluffs area of Newport Beach. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a monstrosity of a menu that seems to offer anything you can think of for breakfast or lunch. The format is fast casual and although at times the kitchen lags a bit, the service is usually quite friendly. Some of the options are a bit on the expensive side but considering the area, it isn’t egregious. I have literally eaten at Champagnes at least 50 times and honestly enjoy just about everything on their menu. For breakfast I suggest the Mediterranean Omelet featuring Spinach, Tomato, Kalamata Olives and Feta Cheese. The Green Chile & Cheese and ABC Omelets are also great choices. There is a Starbucks next door so I often grab a coffee there prior to ordering breakfast. The lunch menu is equally as extensive and all of their cold sandwich offerings feature Boar’s Head brand meats and cheeses piled on fresh breads. The French Onion soup is fantastic on cold days and they offer a soup and sandwich/salad combination at a reasonable price. I would recommend shying away from their salad options as the lettuce is frequently past its prime for some reason. Lastly, thanks to the aforementioned Starbucks located next door you can hijack a free Wifi signal which is all kinds of awesome.

If you’re in the Newport North or Bluffs(across the street) shopping centers this is probably one of the fastest places to grab something to go. They have a variety of pre-made salads here, which are actually pretty fresh(I liked the BBQ chicken salad), and you can add a side of chicken for $ 3(e.g. for your Caesar salad) and pick whichever dressing you prefer. Of course they also have a full menu to order from too, but I can’t remember how it was to comment specifically. They also sell wine bottles here so it’s probably one of the easiest, most convenient places to grab a bottle of wine in the area for that too.
