I came here because I had already painstakingly parallel parked on the street, and didn’t feel like driving anywhere else in Newport after lunch. Personally, I wasn’t satisfied with the variety in flavors or toppings. I ordered a chocolate yogurt with carob chips, but the worker asked if I meant chocolate with bubble gum yogurt and when I told him no, he gave me just plain chocolate): One star for having some pretty unique flavors, and another one for a decent tasting chocolate flavor. Other than that I’m not sure«create yo-own-gurt» can really compete with some of the other awesome froyo places in the area.

Ok, well first of all, it’s not self-serve, there are not many flavors or toppings, and if you order the smallest, its tiny! WHAT A RIPOFF! Well, at least it tasted okay.

Finally tried Create yo’-own-gurt! Why did I wait so long?! Love this place. Had the White Forest Cherry Cake flavor… it is awesome! A mix of Cake Batter and Cherry Amaretto flavors. Plus you can add in 3 toppings which they mix in Cold Stone style. With all the yogurts shops on every corner, this place has something a little different than the rest. Friendly service too! Hopefully the place is successful and they stick around for awhile and change over the old Cefiore signage to the new name. I will definitely be a regular customer now!

Yogurt is excellent, my only complaint is the lack of flavors… there seems to be only like 6 flavor options at a time, though they seem to switch them out often. They do have some cool flavors, green tea and snicker doodle are my favorites. Really nice asian lady(who I assume is the owner) works here and can be seen working through the glass doors with her adorable kid nearby. Always glad to be supporting local business. It’s cool how they can mix stuff in for you like Cold Stone… but with yogurt! First time I’ve seen that one. They have a pretty good topping selection but it’s not self-serve and a little pricey. But it really is good quality yogurt.

Based on the«Create» banner covering the old«Cefiore» sign(which can still be seen when the lights are turned on in the evenings) and the yogurt containers that are blank(small) and labeled Cefiore(medium/large), I take it that Cefiore is being phased out and re-labeled«Create». The main difference(from what I could see) is that Create has a bit of a Cold Stone Creamery feel as they offer to mix in your toppings on a frozen stainless steel counter. I got the tart w/oreos/granola/coconut and husband got the strawberries and cream. Both were refreshing and quite tasty. Service was fast and friendly. Not sure if they are using the Cefiore products or making their own, but I did notice a «organic yogurt» sign on the wall, which I don’t recall seeing in a Cefiore. In any case, this place is certainly worth a return visit.
