I give this place 4 stars but this rating is for their breakfast burrito. Although God doesn’t stand next to some of the other options. Marks deducted since the potatos could be crisper. For Mexican food this place is an easy 4 stars

Wandered in one day after a long day at the beach and I’ve been coming in almost every weekend since! Sandra and her daughter Mariana are always there to greet you with a smile when you walk in. I like to try something different every time I come in here. They are always willing to accommodate to my «funky requests» or any new diets that I’m on lol. Everything that I’ve tried so far has been good, although my all time favorite is the Fajita Fiesta(chicken steak AND shrimp!) And Chipotle platters. I also recommend the tacos del Cerro!(secret menu). It’s a charbroiled crisp tortilla filled with meat and my own request of onion, cilantro and Avocado slices on top. Soooo good and reminds me of the tacos in Mexico city!

Stellar Service! Free chips and salsa. The people who work here are super nice and accommodating. We last minute wanted to switch our beers into a pitcher after we made the order, and the cashier took the time to convert everything. On top of that, we made an «oopsie» and poured our first pint with a bit too much foam. The cashier saw and immediately came over with a bowl and spoon to scoop the foam out. How nice is that?! Give that woman a raise. I recommend their seafood tacos on taco Tuesday. It’s only $ 2.00 each, while regular tacos are $ 1.50 each. Overall, it’s a great place to chill on beers with always something available to munch on. Too bad it closes so early.

Me and my friends came to eat here, chose it randomly. Let me tell you, I don’t eat meat because I just don’t like the flavor but the fact that the Nachos look great, I went for The steak nachos :) Well cooked! Finally convinced me to eat meat. Also the chimichanga was bomb my friend said :)

Delicious traditional Mexican food with some great healthy options(Grilled fish, egg whites, etc). The staff is so friendly & welcoming and the self serve salsa bar is a nice addition. We’ve been coming here for dinner & a also a few times for breakfast for the last 3 years and have never once been disappointed.

This place is an absolute dump — the tables were sticky(one would assume that that is cumulative), the benches were full of more spilled food and who know’s what. After my husband ordered for us, I had to clean our own table(there were only 4 other patrons in there), and spray the table with antibacterial spray and then I wandered over to check out the«salsa bar.» The ice was mostly melted and I’m sure proper temperatures were not monitored(that is a health violation, especially with sour cream sitting out), and there were flies everywhere, particularly congregating on said«salsa bar.» GROSS !! The windows and floors were also full of grime. No one would be able to convince me that this place is cleaned and sanitized with any type of regularity. The food was terrible — bland, frozen(not fresh) — the rice clearly had frozen peas and carrots in it as filler and tasted like it was made last week. I don’t understand the good reviews at all, however, I will say that the waitress was nice and she did refund my meal(since I didn’t eat it). If the front of the restaurant is that disgusting, I can only imagine what’s going on in the back of the house. I’d bet money that you’d find a bunch of freezers and a microwave. Aside from the polite waitress, this place has zero redeeming qualities. Should have gone to — oh, I dunno — ANYWHERE else !!

The whole family loves this small, clean and friendly place. They have a salsa bar with lots of goodies and bottomless sour cream. Yummy, fresh goodness.

Their Al Pastor is THEBOMB! Spiciness is on target, meat is not too chewy, and(and I quote…) NOPINEAPPLES — Not like Chronic Tacos in Huntington Beach, which have to have pineapples inside(don’t know what’s up with that, but oh well…). The only downside I have with this place is that I didn’t know why their flour tortillas have to be so damn small! A regular tortilla is about 13 – 15 inches in diameter, whereas here is about half the size! I thought, «Um…ok, now now the hell am I supposed to make a freakin’ fajita!!!» Anyway, with the tortilla mishaps aside, service was great! The manager is very friendly, and a BADASS salsa bar! The pickled carrots/onions were to die for, and did I mention that they actually have an actual *HOT* salsa with real habanero peppers blended in??? This place is great if you’re into fajitas and other types of Mexican foods such as tacos(soft-shelled, that is) and burritos, but it can get a bit pricey($ 10 for a combo with rice and beans; still not that bad, though).

This review is so long overdue! I stumbled upon this little gem back in January and was a regular customer every time I was in the area. I much prefer Las Fajitas over any of the Mexican joints in San Diego. My favorite dish is the Azteca Burrito(which was on their old menu). When I walked in to get my amazing burrito, I noticed they revamped their menu and my burrito was no longer on it. I asked Sandra if she still served the Azteca Burrito, and she said she did! I felt like I was in the know on a secret menu. Every time I would go in with my girlfriend, we were welcomed as if we came home. The service is excellent and the food is absolutely amazing. They are able to make any substitutions and cater to your taste buds. I wish I didn’t have to move cross country to Florida, but next time I go back to Cali my first stop will be here! Then maybe In-n-Out.

The monster burrito has the best food-to-price ratio to my knowledge($ 12, I guess next time I’ll weigh myself before and after a meal lol^^). Salsa bar is the best I’ve ever had. Seafood meat are good, though I usually find salmon a bit overpowering when it covers to Mexican fusion. Owner and staff are so friendly. You really want this place to do well. Spread this as a chain seriously. As with all food places, it comes down to the food for repeat business and satisfaction, while evolving marketing tends to be the growth driver. You really get quality here.

The carne asada plate was amazing! The flavor was so perfect not to dry, crunchy on the edges with a hint of barbeque taste. I loved all of it. The salsa was so good you could eat it by itself. No joke.

What a hidden gem!!! The service here is absolutely wonderful! My fiancé and I walked in and were immediately greeted by Sandra and made to feel right at home. The salsa bar is amazing. If you are a chips & salsa addict, like me, you need to come here! The food was prepared quick and it tasted delicious, like a home cooked meal! I highly recommend this place!!!

Friendly people and amazing tasty food! This place was great all around! The food was really good. I ordered the seafood enchiladas and they did not disappoint! This place is nestled alway in the beautiful Newport Beach area. Seconds away from the beach. The chips and unlimited salsa bar was also really good! Everything was made fresh and delicious!

Honestly, I don’t quite understand the 4 stars for this restaurant. The food is just average at best with hardly any flavor. They may give you a decent amount of chicken or beef but you barely get any rice, beans, and anything else. Service is terrible. Once they brought our food out they totally disappeared and never even checked on us at all. Then to get a to go box I had to go inside their kitchen to get their attention. Good thing I had a coupon for a free meal cuz I would’ve not been happy paying over $ 25 for the amount and quality of food that we got. Will I come back? Most likely not.

Excellent food, and a hearty salsa bar. I normally order the ‘Monster Burrito’ which is huge! The tacos are great and they offer 6 different fish tacos. Breakfast is inexpensive and very quick. I like this restaurant because it has the same taste of Mexican food south of the border. It’s always fresh and relatively quick. Nice, clean, air conditioned restaurant with flat screen TV’s.
