This place rocks from the atmosphere to the food. Awesome street tacos with great flavor. Probably need 3 to fill up the average bear.

I had the Veggie Burrito, and it was the best burrito I’ve ever tasted. The tortilla was a perfect crispiness, the ingredients were fresh and plentiful, and it had a divine creaminess that rivaled cheese(which wasn’t there), mostly from the caramelized mushrooms and artichoke leaves, in addition to the Spinach and perfectly textured pinto beans. Check the joint out.

Loved this place… I always order the flounder pounder with no chubbie sauce and extra salsa verde. The chubbie sauce adds a sweetness I don’t care for. The fish has a nice flavor and is tender and well marinated. The tortillas are always nice n crispy. I love this place.

Delicious tacos! Might even be the best I have ever had. Their half crunch half soft corn tortillas are a really nice change from the usually dry corn tortillas most places serve. The meat is flavor full and juicy. The tortilla chips came out warm and are way better than the ones served at most cheap mexican places. My sister said her chicken burrito is the best she has ever had and eats chicken burritos at least once a week. We will be back for sure!

Wife and I went here last minute and was very surprised how good the customer service was and our food. We both had a chicken burrito and they were awesome! Great quality food for sure. We will go back again. Also the location was great. We walked there from Newport Boardwalk which was helpful. Try it out.

Some really great tacos! I tried the chicken, carnitas, and fish and all were awesome. They have their«house» sauce which they add which is really amazing. Horrible to park and be very careful… there’s a guy patrolling the nearby lot and will tow you… street parking is the only way to go(or walking/biking of course). Quick, reasonable and pretty tasty. I’ll be back!

Best tacos I’ve had in my life. I ate here twice while on vacation in Newport Beach. The first time was for dinner. I had the OG and an order of chips and salsa. Obviously home made tortilla chips and excellent salsa. We also stopped in for breakfast the day we left town. Best breakfast tacos I’ve had ever, hands down. If I lived near Sanchos I’d be a regular. Not a huge menu, but I think that’s good, they sell what they are good at, nothing more.

We’ve been to the location in Huntington Beach several times so we though we’d try the second location in Newport Beach. This was a real disappointment, especially since we’ve always had good food at the main location. The staff here was friendly and that’s probably the most complimentary thing I can say about the experience. The building itself is pretty small and old. We each 3 tacos(they are almost $ 3 a piece), one each of the tri-tip, carnitas and chicken. We also had a side of beans. There’s really not much to the tacos, they aren’t particularly better than any street taco you would find though priced higher. The amount of meat and other toppings was surprisingly scarce. I’ve looked at other people’s photos and their tacos seem a bit more robust so maybe it was just an off night in the kitchen. I don’t typically like to write reviews after just one visit, but since we had been to the other location many times I went ahead and did this one. I’ll stop in again another day and give it a try and update the review then.

Five stars is hard to come by, but this place has yet to disappoint. Their tacos are delicious, which to me, is an important commodity in today’s society. With so many options, one can only hope that«the one» comes along. It’s not an «authentic» taco per say, but it is legit. The sweet salsa, fresh meat and tortilla, and splash of lime, you can’t go wrong. I recommend the pollo, carne asada, and carnitas for any aspiring taco hunter. BTW, their chips and salsa are also delightful. Well played, Sancho’s. *Cue the slow clap

My husband and I just ate here for the first time, and we thought it was pretty good. They need signs saying where parking is because we parked in an area that did NOT say«No Sancho’s Tacos Parking» and within 2 minutes a tow truck had been called and the security guard said it didn’t need to say it(wrong!). Had my husband not seen him instantly walk to our car and get on the phone, our car would have been towed. There is not ample parking behind the building and no signs telling you that is where to park. The menu was hard to read(needs a better typeface for the descriptions at least) and they were out of paper menus so I had to look it up online to look while I sat at my table. There isn’t much room to stand and stare at the one behind the register. Some menu items were a bit pricey to me but the flavor of the food was delicious. The only thing I wasn’t too crazy about were the chips. Half our basket seemed double fried and half seemed undercooked but I guess they make them there. I loved the OG taco with 5150 sauce and the steak burrito was pretty awesome, too! To me, the other«bad» stuff is all fixable. The important part is the food, which I think was great. I will probably come back again! And you should try the OG with 5150 sauce!

Really fckin good! I had a skrimp, chicken, and fish taco. Honestly it’s nowhere near«traditional» tasting Mexican food, but it’s still damn good. So as long as you don’t go in thinking you’re gonna get legit tacos from Tijuana, you’ll be fine. The sauces they topped each taco with were delicious. Everything tasted fresh and was ready pretty quick. I can’t wait to explore the rest of the menu.

What a great place to get breakfast at… We tried the sawed off burrito with sausage and avocado. The food came out fairly quick and was really hot! How great is that? The service was over the top. They made sure we had everything and checked on us once to insure we did not need anything. The store was really clean and the server was a very nice women. The whole experience was great! I can’t say enough of how good the food was and what a great experience we had there. Way to go Sancho’s Tacos!!! I would recommend this place to everyone!!! Go try them out and you won’t be disappointed!!! Great Food!

Been to this new Sanchos location like 3 times now. I do like it better than the HB location. Its just not as chaotic, cashiers are friendlier, food is prepared with more care and they bring your stuff to the table when its ready. My last visit I had the Flounder Pounder and Skrimps Tacos. I did enjoy them both with a slight preference for the Flounder Pounder. The Bean and Cheese(add Rice) Burritos are good too. The only thing I didn’t quite care for here is the Flaco Breakfast Burrito, was just a little too much going on with it. I’d order again«86» the Artichoke Hearts. Keep up the good work Sanchos Newport!

Really more hype and cool looking than crave worthy. The tri tip burrito was super salty, inedible. The chicken however was pretty good as well as the fish and veggie tacos. They are very skimpy and not really worth the price tag. I did enjoy the service and vibe of the place. Good salsa and flavors going on here, just a bit overpriced and they need to work on their tri tip.

Best tacos in Orange County. A bit pricey for what you get but the scenery makes up for that. Be prepared to sit outside as there are not many tables inside. Also the bathrooms are only one stall and sometimes there’s a line. The Nachos are to die for made with real cheese and enough to share with the entire table. I would suggest trying one of each taco but be aware if you don’t like spicy make sure to steer away from the«hot» side of the menu.

Tasty food, good music, good ambience, good view. However, you don’t get much food for your money if you’re getting tacos. 5 tacos = barely full. Be prepared to spend $ 15 to get full per person.

After a disappointing experience with the Flacco taco on my first visit — I’m happy to say I haven’t had a bad experience since. Everything I’ve ordered since that initial visit has been wonderful. I absolutely love their bean and cheese burrito — so simple, so basic but SO good. When I have a craving for a good bean and cheese burrito(that is HUGE at a cheap price), I come to Sancho’s Tacos. The street tacos are phenomenal and always fresh. Glad to update my review and remain a satisfied, regular customer.

Came here here for lunch after a good hike and ordered 2OG tacos and a side of rice. I thought that the taco’s were delicious and good size for the price. Had large chunks of tri-tip with sour cream and their special chubbie sauce. The rice however, was very salty, almost to the point where I couldn’t finish it all and left ½ aside. The service was efficient and friendly. Would definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

I felt like a dirty Sancho, just walking into this place. Wait, what’s a Sancho? The restaurant is a small little place, with minimal seating, but the décor is amazing. Great Sancho pictures and artwork on the walls. Even the employees were tatted and pierced, making the ambiance all the more… Sancho-esque. The prices were a bit high for street tacos. I got the carne asada tacos, which i thought were a little light on the fillings. The ingredients seemed fresh, and the taste was great. I also ordered the carne asada nachos, which were a bit disappointing. Once again, the ingredients were fresh and tasted good, I was just diappointed in the size, and amount of food for the almost $ 8 i paid for them. The nachos seemed to take forever cooking in the oven, and I was done with my tacos for quite some time before they even made it to the table. The food was really good and the atmosphere was different than any other restaurant I’ve been in. I would definitely come back to Sancho’s with friends and enjoy the atmosphere and friendly service.

Sweet Tacos! I am such a fan of the area, but not much of a fan of this taco eatery. A group of four of us pretty much shared the same tacos. ~Battered Fish Tacos– 2 Stars First bite was crispy, crunchy and I was excited. The batter is fine but the fish was tasteless. I thought the price was a bit hefty at around $ 3 a taco. ~Tri Tip Taco-2 Stars What ever the sauce is, it was too sweet and I did not care for the taste. I «have had better.» ~Tortillas-1 Star On all the tacos, we had the same experience. The tortillas were cold and would break. The experience mirrored those I have had where I just took a store bought tortilla out of the fridge and used it. Yep, we all have done that. Customer service/Ambiance-4 Stars! I absolutely love the patio dining that overlooks the street. This place is a minute’s walk from the sand. Friendly workers. I am a fan of the service, patio and location! AOK
