My local morning stop and it has 2 things everyone wants in customer service: They recognize me & know what I want even before I order. Definitely a friendly plus. On the minus, and this relates to the present day Starbucks stop as a whole… incredibly long waits to order. More attn paid to food & mile long custom drink orders these days makes it frustrating for us long time die hard Starbucks coffee lovers. Sad but true. 4 stars for good staff and always freshly made Coffee… 3 stars overall for the frustrating experience Starbucks has largely become.

This locations staff is consistently rude, which is such a shame bc it’s a great location and close to my house. I don’t understand how you can always be in a bad mood, especially when u r right on pch and in one of the most beautiful places in the world. In addition they didn’t cook my sandwiches all the way through. So disappointing to bite into what you think will be a delicious hot sand which and instead it’s cold inside. Don’t go here if u want good service and hot, cooked sandwiches!

I stopped by this Star and ordered a plan chai tea. When I opened the cup it was a latte in the cup and charged for a latte. They refunded the extra dollar they charged and gave me a free latte. They get an atta boy for that.

Solid place for a quick caffeine fix, not unlike most any other Starbucks. Friendly staff, quick service, & order made right. No complaints. Adjacent parking lot makes access easy/convenient. Just of of PCH.

This was my first time here. Drop in coming back from the beach. I ordered a medium decaf mocha latte with vanilla. I was given a large(venti) one. I saw that it was wrong size at the cashier, but let it go. Cashier should have paid more attention of what I actually ordered. The store was clean. One employee just finished sweeping the floors when I walked in.

I truly luv this establishment. Their is no better Staff, bar none! Friendly courtesy, helpful. Although I’m not like my totally obnoxious newport beach anal retentive patrons, I don’t aggrevate my servers by ordering a Venti ½&1/2, quad Pump Vanilla, Extra Whip quintuplet pump chocolate syrup, no no no, that would be too gay for me. Just a grande coffee in a Venti cup, so I can pour a half gallon of half & half creamer in. I think it would be great if the newport police wouldn’t all show up, the 711 is on Dover, you bunch of fags! And you bikers that think your privelged Lance Armstrong’s, well I’d like to take a dump in your sports bottle. Go ride or go home.

I happened to be in the Newport Beach area and discovered this little Starbucks nestled next to a Ferrari & Maserati dealership. I was lucky and found parking directly in front of this location. During the time of my visit the area of PCH directly in front of this location was under construction so if you missed this Starbucks it would quicker to find another location than to loop back around. I walked in and immediately noticed that this Starbucks is definitely catered toward the higher end customer. I looked around and found a sofa and several love seats /lazy-boy type of chairs and even a fireplace!!! During the time of my visit(5pm’ish) I found there to be no line. I found the staff to be extremely friendly, helpful and they nailed my order pretty well on the first go around. I ordered a ‘calm’ tea with two inches of steamed soy extra foamy and it was spot on. I found the employees to be nice, friendly, quick with service, all present had smiles on their faces and seemed stoked to be there. I meet clients from time to time directly across the street at the Balboa Bay Resort. Now that I know this fast, friendly Starbucks is on my way back to the freeway I will definitely be a return customer.

If you’re wondering if the ratings on this Starbucks are accurate, they are. I’ve been to this establishment a couple of times since it’s the closest to my work. Each time the service was mediocre, nothing special about their customer service. They don’t seem to work with much urgency. This visit, however, my drink was made with such lack of common sense. I ordered a tall caramel brûlée latte with no whip cream. After looking over the counter, she had started giving me whip cream and I had to stop her after she already finished. She took the spoon and scooped the whip cream out, but that left my cup almost ¼ empty. She also didn’t top it with the caramel bits that come with the caramel brûlée drink. This is not how I want to start my morning. Work on your customer service Starbucks! Train your staff to have some common sense.

My first time here. It will also be my last. Older lady at the counter was rude and unfriendly. After asking her what cold drinks she would recommend, I decided on a hot chocolate. She made sure to tell me I wasted her time reciting the cold drink menu. I told her that I changed my mind and wanted a hot chocolate. My wife and I enjoyed our drinks on the outdoor patio. She later went to the counter and ordered a pastry. My wife then told her that she wanted to refill her Starbucks reusable cup but would have to get it from the patio. The older Starbucks employee told her she didn’t have time to wait and gave her a mug. The other employee making the drinks also looked like she didn’t want to be there. No smiles… no hello. Oh well… onto a different Starbucks.

I do stop at starbucks but at various sites This morning was a big turn off. I will not be using this starbucks again! Lousy service… everyone that worked there had a major i don’t care or want to be here attitude. I had only stopped in to get sonwater/refil as i on aworkout. Ran in and the barista and the whole crew just avoided me as i stood there paitently waiting. I asked to refill my sports bottle and she grumbled sorthing about not being able to fill it??? There was a water tap dispenser right in front of her??? Just down right rude!!! I do ubderstand they get busy but i waited my turn patiently. Still no help! I finally just walked out frustrated and could not believe the poor response and attitude. The whole crew should get an attitude adjustment and tell them to handle customers much better and more friendly. Again– i waited paitenly for my turn to allow other customers to get there items… i gave them plenty of time to respond to my request. Barista needs to get the coffee stirrer out of her butt!!! Never again!!!

My second or third time here. Staff have no personality. I ordered a cake pop, the girl mopping the floor didn’t wash her hands but she did put on a glove. So dirty mop hands touched the outside of the glove. I’m thinking she doesn’t wash her hands after the bathroom either but puta her gloves on so her bathroom bacteria will be nice and secure I the outside of the glove. I also purchased 4 items. I was asked if I wanted a bag I said yes please. The cashier slid one over to me. Ok then I guess ill bag my own snacks. This was the worst Starbucks I’ve ever been too. Big yuck.

Never again… this was nott my first lousy engagement with this store but it is my last. I came in at 12:05 today. And requested a large dark roast and a bagel toasted. I was informed they stopped serving dark roast at noon. They would make me a pourover if i waited a few minutes. No huhu. I also ordered a toasted bagel The bagel was served untoasted. I handed it back to be toasted and be served with the coffee. After ten minutes and noticing everyones order in line behind me and several who came in after i ordered were taken care of before the staff started on my coffee. Bad form i think as many of these orders were far more complicated than pouring water over coffee. In the meantime the bagel was toasted and left to sit without serving or telling me it was ready. It was barely warm when my coffee was ready. On top of that the pour over was weak and lukewarm. I even had to wait to get a refund. Done here.

Love this location, even though plugs for computers are at a premium. Nice and open and airy with big windows, in a perfect location, with friendly staff and good looking costumers. Seating inside and outside and usually plenty of parking. And that plug? Look about six feet up the wall by the handicapped table near where the barista hands you your drink. You’re welcome.

Stopped in for after dinner coffee last night, riding back from Laguna — to Huntington Beach. We were on a motorcycle. There was no welcome, just a rude guy who announced«we close in 7 minutes». Wow. Really? So we got 2 coffees and sat down. It must have been exactly 7 minutes later when he looked over and said«Just to let you know, we’re closed». I said«what are you saying? You want us to leave?» He replied«well, we’re closed». So it’s 9pm and the 2 workers doing tasks can’t let 2 women on bikes drink a cup of coffee? Can’t ride and drink it, and this is not dinner! How long could we linger? So I clarified«So… we can’t sit here any more. Is that what you are saying?» Then… new story«Well, if you want to sit here another 9 minutes…»(voice trails off, sentance left hanging) OK. So, now I have a HUGE extension on my original 7 minutes. But it is clear I am supposed to get out. NOW. I say«What’s your name?» I am told it is Tommy. «Well, you’re rude.» I say. No response. The equally useful female does an eyeroll. Fortunately, there was outdoor seating, so we finished our coffee outside among the nasty cigarette smoke of the other patrons at one other table of guests. We left before the crew had even locked the front door, that is how long we would have been inside. Starbucks is Starbucks — we repeat our business based on good customer service. I recommend you ride past this one headed N on the PCH just a couple of blocks, across the street. That is where the next Starbucks is. This one was represented by a highly disengaged clock watcher. What a pathetic experience. It would have been my first and last at this location, but I called store manager Vanessa today, and she was extremely concerned with this situation. SHE deserves a second chance, where Tommy does not.

I like this Starbucks, but the baristas are pretty slow. That’s okay though, because there’s never a long line and I still get my drink in a pretty timely manner. There’s plenty of seating, although I hear it gets packed on the weekend. I can appreciate that the workers know a lot of their customers names and drink orders. It’s a nice little community Starbucks.

I have come to this location twice but I just don’t understand how there has not been even a single chair or table open??? apparently people just come here to just sit down and read/study. I can’t even order a latte and enjoy it while having conversation with a friend. No bueno! I love starbucks and all but I will not be coming back here because well there just isn’t enough room!
