I’d give 4.5 stars if I could, since the only drawback is that it seems to get a little pricey. I guess all fast food tends to these days. But seems like they could get away with a «buck and under» menu pretty easily.
The chili is simply amazing. Been coming to this location off and on (mostly on) for 15ish years.
They do a good job with my goofy «special» order (chill on the side for anything I order… just a lot less messy that way!)
This location cares about customer service, always has.

I’m not always in the mood for chili dogs… but when I am, I prefer Wienerschnitzel.
Seriously, the cravings just hit me sometimes :-)
I’m often left a little unsatisfied when everything is all said and done. I wish their fry portions were bigger (they are very good, but a Medium is like a small somewhere else) and the regular dogs & chili dogs are pretty flimsy.
The wait sometimes can be super variable, especially if it gets busy at lunchtime.

Cheap yummy corn dog, chili dog, and ice cream sundae. Friendly service. :-)

I was driving down Jamboree in Newport and had a hankering for a hot dog. So, for the first time in years, I stopped by Wienerschnitzel which used be called Der Wienerschnitzel (I wonder why they removed the Der?!?). I ordered the chili cheese dog which is the all beef version costing extra for the all beef for a total of $ 3.29. There was a very small amount of chili which was a bit disappointing. The dog itself was not bad along with everything else was pretty good. No wow factor. But, what do you expect from a fast food joint? It satisfied my need for a quick fix.
Will I continue to return to get a fix here? Probably not.
One of the reasons was the wait for the drive thru here was very, tediously long even though there was only one car in front of me.

The food is just your typical Wienerschnitzel but the service is outstanding, outstanding I tells ya. As soon as you walk in you can see the faces on the employees faces brighten up. Now thats great customer service. Well done training the staff here, everything comes out perfect and with the top notch friendly service how can you beat this joint.

Oily greasy food is the best!
The chili cheese fried are yum! Not as good as The Hat, but still really yummy.
The corn dogs and hot dogs are all greasy and good.
This location is very clean and well kept.
Definitely kills the craving!

I’ve been going here for years. They were seriously the best and so was the staff that never changed. I hadn’t been in a couple of months and I stopped by yesterday. I could immediately tell the place was under new ownership or management. Everything was different — the regular staff was gone, the chili dog was yucky — honestly gross. Different buns than usual (really soggy!), different chili that seemed very watered down, and even the soda seemed super watered down. Sadly, the next time I get a craving for a chili dog, I won’t be going to this place.
