Easily the best Indian food on the Peninsula(not to name names)! Been pleased with every meal I’ve ever ordered here, the Chili Chicken being my favorite(momo’s are also excellent). Great lunch special. Decent prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Good drink selection

The best Indian food I have had in the U.S. Almost even better than India. Everything was awesome, real food among those chain restaurants that do not serve real food. All the ingredients were fresh, spices were great, wish u were close to where I live, I had the best crispy okra ever, even better than mine :) chicken tikka was sooooooo delicious too. Good job chef, all staff so polite and attentive.

Had the Napali thali with fish and it was very good. My friend had the momo filled with chicken which also was very tasty. Great service and very friendly staff. Small place with great food.

Love the food and the service is wonderful! Try the lunch special– it comes with soup or salad an entrée and dessert. I had the chicken tikka masala and my husband had the chicken vindaloo– we both loved it. The staff is very helpful for those new to Indian food and happily answered any questions we had.

By far my favorite Indian food place and the delivery is fast and on point. I have never had a problem with them getting my order wrong, and they always leave a dessert for free in the bag.

Great food, quick service and friendly staff. Really happy that I finally found a restaurant that services Indo-Chinese options as well. It was good food and I am definitely going back to try their regular Indian and Nepalese dishes. My favorite was the chicken Momos but everything I ordered was flavorful and adequately spicy :-)

I try to come to Aago at least once a week. Not only is their food delicious, but I love their generous portions for the price! Service has always been fantastic as well. Try the Veg Korma or the Dal Tadka!

I’m an Indian, Hyderabadi and a foodie and let me tell you, they have Amazing food. Veggie momos are awesome, chili garlic nan and goat curry which had the softest goat I ever ate in the US, out of the world and we ordered medium spicy which was made to perfection. My veggie friends ordered dal, malai kofta, Hakka noodles and gobi manchuria which were absolutely delicious. If you make a trip to Williamsburg don’t miss eating here. The dishes are priced right for the quality and quantity. Thanks chef and service staff

Very good food but it’s so small — almost guaranteed a wait. The food definitely runs spicy, so keep that in mind. The good had great flavor, the menu was very large and I enjoyed the vegetable korma.

Very good food. Given a lot of food with the lunch special. Appetizer, salad, ma’am bread, meal, unlimited rice and dessert

If it weren’t for the Thukpa soup on the menu, we may have missed eating at this wonderful restaurant! Besides the soup, we had the meat samosa and chilly potato. For the main course, we had homestyle yellow dal and rice, laccha paratha, gobhi(cauliflower) manchurian and chaat papdi! Each dish was oozing with flavors! Even the complimentary rice was garnished with yellow of saffron and green peas! Way to go, Aago! Excellent service by Deb with whom we enjoyed a long chat!

Love this place! It’s small so it doesn’t have the ability to have a buffet like Nawab, but the tastes are amazing and a fresh change. Service is excellent. Great place for lunch!

Yum. Yum. Yum! Aago is delicious and most importantly, consistent. Their palak paneer is hands down the best I’ve had. What I love most is they season their food really well and if you like it spicy, you really get spicy! Take out here can take a while, as it should. Just make sure you order with plenty of time to spare and you won’t be sorry!

One of my favorite place to eat in Newport News. Our poor town has very little in the way of decent hole-in-the-wall restaurants. However, among the sea of food chains and lack-luster eateries, Aago shines like a beacon of hope!(Too much… I’ll pull back a little). SOGOOD! Seriously. We have been only a handful of times and this is one of the places that will make me sad to move from this area. Atmosphere; Very small, family owned restaurant. I believe there are 10 tables altogether, mostly 4 tops with a couple two tops. Simple décor, beautiful light fixtures and on the way to the bathroom there is this big Nepalese painting. Service: You are definitely taken care of here. I have been twice now and I had a different waiter each time. In both instances, I had someone that was willing to explain certain food items to me and ensured our water glasses were never empty. Friendly and familial. Food: My favorite appetizer is the vegetarian samosas. You can order them on their own or as part of the vegetable platter. They are huge and the seasoning they use make these pockets of lovely very addicting. I highly recommend the Chips Chili as well. It is a sizable plate of fries(enough to share before or during a meal) and it is loaded with a sweet chili sauce as well as some vegetables; my favorite combo of flavors is sweet, salty and spicy and this one hits all three beautifully! I always order the Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan. Never fails me. The great thing about eating out to a place like Aago is you can really get something spicy, if that’s what you like. My husband has ordered the Napali Thali which is this curry dish with side dishes of various house pickled items, house sauces and a house made yogurt. You are meant to dump out all the food on the silver tray provided and mixed and eaten as desired.

Wonderfully delicious Been wanting to go to Aago and finally found the time to go. My only regret is that it wasn’t sooner! Everything from the drinks to the dessert were excellent. Me and my fiancée had a really good time over there. Do not miss the momo and avocado lassi .We couldn’t stop trying different dishes and in the end had the mango ice cream. Our waiter was also absolutely terrific. Such an overall great experience that we’re already planning our next visit.

Came for lunch on Valentine’s Day. I ordered the chicken momo which had lovely spiced(but not spicy) filling and crispy outsides. My husband had the goat thali and was very happy with the flavor of the dish and the option to choose what spice level he wanted. Service was excellent and our waiter was very informative and helpful with our questions about the Nepali menu. I also had the salted lassi drink which was absolutely delicious — refreshing but with great flavor.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times, takeout and seating. Be aware the place is tiny only eight tables therefore getting a seat is a treat. I have never had a meal takeout or in house I didn’t like. My husband always orders the mixed grill which takes at least 30 to 45 minutes to cook in the tandoori oven(be aware anything tandoori takes awhile) it is delcious and he doesn’t share. Medium gives it enough kick to make the meal enjoyable for the spice challenged. We also enjoy the kuchamber salad so awesome one is enough for two. The Naan is fresh made for your order and doesn’t disappoint. Anybody that gives this place less then 5 stars is insane!!!

The food is really good compared to other Indian restaurants in Hampton road. We had been craving for some momos for a long time and we enjoyed our order even though we thought they should have been appetizers but instead it was an entrée. I had a chicken tikka masala which was very rich and loved it. The nans were great. The goat biryani was a little oily but nevertheless a tasty traditional one. Fall of the bone goat meat marinated perfectly. The service is nice and the place is small but clean and neatly kept. The only down side was I thought its a bit pricey for the quantity. I had to travel to Richmond every time I craved for some authentic Indian food but now we have Aago.

We stopped here on our way to OBX. I choose this place for 4.5 stars on Unilocal. This is a small restaurant with seating space for just around 25 persons. Unfortunately for us, we have a party of 6 sitting next to us who were very loud. I would say I was disappointed with the food. The food is just average. We ordered the«Sev Puri Chat». It was lots of sev marinated with onions, tomatoes and chutney. The sev had a different taste and the dish was very dry. The paneer cubes in Paneer Tikka Masala were huge. They did not soak up the curry, so it felt like eating raw paneer with curry. The garlic naan and dal fry was nice.

The food here is amazing! It’s a small place and the front house needs some fine tuning, but they are wonderful group of people who keep smiling. I’ve had the Malai Kofta, palak paneer, lamb vindaloo, Dahl, naan, rice pudding, tandoori plate, quinoa salad… everything was beyond expectation. Great for take-out & they even deliver writhing a 5-mile radius.
