I was violently ill on the way home after visiting friends and eating here. I do not have a soft stomach so I know something in sanitation MUST have gone wrong. I also use to eat at one of these places in Jacksonville every weekend growing up and the quality is not the same. This store needs to be updated as well. As for the service they were very nice and helpful. All in all, «Meh.»

Had a gift card from there, so i ordered food to pick up. It was a Friday, very busy, didn’t wait too long for my food, staff was friendly but my waitress seemed frantic cause it was busy. Got the chicken sliders which was good but very small, i mean they were sliders but they were skimpy on the fries. Sliders were suppose to have gouda cheese but don’t think the cheese was gouda. Also got the molten lava cake for dessert. Very small cake for $ 6.99 and they wanted an extra $ 2 for a scoop of ice cream… not worth it. Overall it was ok.

I had a great experience here, while my boyfriend’s was polar opposite. We showed up a little late, but the waitress didn’t seem to mind and was very nice. I went with the buffalo chicken sandwich and a side of fries while the boyfriend got the Prime Rib sandwich with au jus. My chicken was juicy and tender, had the right amount of sauce drizzled on, and I ate every bite. The boyfriend’s meal was a different story. The prime rib wasn’t great, but the au jus was HORRIBLE. It was too salty, and tasted like soy or W sauce. He asked for the meal to be taken off our bill and sent it back. By this time it was nearing close and he didn’t want them to have to cook another meal, so we left, but not before lots of apologies and offers to get him something else. I felt like the service was fantastic, they handled everything perfectly, and were willing to do what they could for us. Though the boyfriend may not come with me, I’ll be back!

A family sports bar, if there is such a thing. The staff tries to cater to families in addition to the regular bar goers. The food is reasonably priced and better than expected. The beer is a little overpriced when compared to local competitors, but the service has always been fast and friendly.

Went to watch football last week with the wife. Ate the parmigiana chicken wings. They did not taste very good to me and I ordered something else. That turned out to be not to my liking either. I paid the bill and we left. Although the food was below average to average tasting, we decided to go back to Beef’s the following Sunday because the wife is a Bill’s fan and they are a «Bill’s» place. So we go Beef’s arriving at the same time we did last week. We needed a 5 top since we recommended this place to our friends. We were shown a booth in the back corner. We told several wait staff members that we needed a 5 top. We saw one open but was told it was reserved. I informed the wait member that if they couldn’t accommodate us, we still have time to go to another establishment to get the seats we required(we called ahead to the establishment and checked). She advised Beef’s policy is that if a reservation does not show up by 12:45(for the 1:00pm game), they relinquish the reservation. It was 12:47pm. We are good. Can we get the table. Was told to wait a few so she can check with her manager. She made three passes around the place looking lost. Still waiting. But, it’s now 12:50pm, so we should have the table. Waitress advised she was getting it together for us. Cool. Kick off happens, my friends call and say they are on the way bringing another person with them. No problem. We got a 5 top that is being prepared for us, with room for a 6th. Waiting. 1:15pm comes along and I ask waitress why we are not seated yet. They want to wait a little longer; they will call the patrons that reserved the table to check on them. I reminded her of Beef’s policy of relinquishing the reservation if not seated by 12:45pm. Then the manager came up to us to let us know we couldn’t have the table. I tried to remind her of Beef’s own policy but she was reluctant to listen, impatiently brushing us off. Sounds like she was reserving it for her friends or something(which was fine if she would have been up front with us and not made us miss part of the game). 1:25pm comes along and we decide to leave. We are very upset because we wanted to watch our teams play. We’ve been lied to, stalled and made to feel like a fool standing by the bar wall waiting for our table that was promised us(per Beef’s policy) but saved for who they knew. I contacted my friends, apologized to them for recommending a place that had failed me. The establishment I called while waiting for a table promised(but never delivered) was full at this point. I asked if they had any recommendations. They frequent Quaker Steak and Lube up on Jefferson. So, the wife and I head there. Seating was tight. The wait staff and hosts didn’t promise anything but advised they will try to accommodate. Great. Honesty, without empty promises. We started out with two chairs at the bar, and the Quaker staff was able to find a table to accommodate all of us. They really worked hard at it. The food was great. The wings were served hot, tasted great, and we all loved the atmosphere of Quaker Steak and Lube. Beef’s had two tries to get it right and failed. It’s not worth a third try because the food is below average, the wait staff lies and the manager doesn’t follow the establishment’s policy. I went ahead and contacted their Corporate Office to let them know.

This place is very good and most definitely recommend for you to try it. If your ever on this side of the world is worth trying it.

Went here with my mother a few weeks ago just to try it, since we’d never been before. It was fairly empty, other than a few guys at the bar yelling at the football games on TV. That didn’t really bother me; it’s football season and I’ve been known to do the same. It took a bit for the waitress to sit us, and when she did it was at a booth right by the bar and the table was very sticky. It wobbled too. We waited to order as it didn’t take us long to decide what we wanted(I got a buffalo chicken sandwich, and mom got a burger of some kind). The waitress finally came back over, took our drink order and walked off without asking for our food choices, so we waited again. Finally got to give our order to her, and when the food came out it was very sad looking. My sandwich was a pathetic couple pieces of frozen chicken slathered in some wing sauce, and a store bought stale bun. The fries were far too salty and were just way overcooked. My mom’s burger had been ordered as medium well and arrived mooing. We couldn’t even manage to get the waitress’ attention to get our drinks refilled. Needless to say, we gave this place a shot, and it was not good enough for us to consider returning.

Used to really like this place but the food quality dwindled, along with it my interest in being food poisoned.

Decent food, good happy hour prices. Wings are good, so are the burgers. A very family friendly place to eat. Not the cleanest place, but the friendly staff makes up for it.

Ordered a hamburger(medium rare), fries, and a Shock Top for lunch. Hamburger was hot and juicy, but was way overcooked for medium rare. There wasn’t a hint of pink to be found in that hamburger patty. The toppings were fresh, and the toasted brioche bun was a very nice touch. Fries were hot and crisp. I certainly prefer fries that are hand-cut on premises, but for frozen fries– not bad. Beer was good, and arrived with the customary orange garnish. Hard to screw that up. Staff was friendly and quick. Passable for sports bar food, but nothing special. It won’t stop me from coming back, though…

After some light shopping at Wal-mart, my mother, grandmother and I were hungry for some good lunch rather than cheap fast food so I picked a restaurant we haven’t ever stepped in and give it a shot, Beef O Bradys was it. I had the best burger I’ve had in awhile and my grandmother found her favorite burger there as well surprisingly! I had ordered the OMG Angus Slider’s, I just love sliders compared to giant burgers and these weren’t puny burgers either for being sliders, it’s two Sliders each with two Angus patties, with lettuce, cheese and bacon and asked for Mayo. My Grandma loved their BBQ Cheeseburger which surprised me since she usually doesn’t go for that heavy stuff, but she actually finished her plate! She loved the BBQ sauce on it and who doesn’t love Sweet Baby Ray’s? Along with the fries she also had Broccoli, she loves Broccoli, we hate her for eating it, when she farts after eating Broccoli, any animal in contact with the smell run away or drop dead on the spot, the wallpaper peels and withers and we all gag, cough, my mother would vomit from the smell. I’m allowed to make fun of my grandma, right? So long as I don’t drop her name! Heehee! My mother had the the Brady Burger, she very much enjoyed that and the Bust-A-Move arcade machine that was behind our table tucked into this little corner. She fed that thing alot of quarters when I begged her not to when there’s a perfectly good Super Nintendo at home and we have that game! X_X

I had BBQ burger. Cooked just the way I asked, flavor was great, very filling with a side of fries. My dad had the fish and chips. He mentioned more than once how good it was. Mom had the veggie wrap and really enjoyed it. All had fries that were given thumbs up all around. Service was quick and very courteous. My drink was never empty which is always a plus in my book. True sports bar with 17TV’s all on some type of sports net. Not a place you can sit without a good view.

It was alright, thought that the milkshakes were very icy tasting it was kind of weird. We had the rib appetizer sampler which came with 4 ribs, 4 strips of chicken and french fries. The ribs and chicken were okay, nothing too fabulous.

I usually go to Buffalo Wild Wings for my sports watching needs, but decided to try this place because my friend loves it here. I’m not a big fan because: 1. Limited channels. I wanted to watch an Illinois basketball game, but the bartender said that they don’t get the Big Ten. My friend, who wanted to watch the Detriot Red Wings, was also out of luck. 2. Bright lights. I went at around 7:30pm on a Saturday night and the lights were on full blast. 3. No cursing. This is a family place, so there’s a sign that says«Please watch your language.» 4. Older clientele. I didn’t see any cute 20-somethings, which is partially why I love sports bars so much. On the bright side, their food is cheap(¼ pound burger and curly fries for $ 5.99, $ 1.99 desserts) and their domestic pints are only $ 2! The service was good, but this place is pretty small and not too busy.

Beef O’ Brady’s is not my kind of place. It’s a sports bar that does really well for itself, though. They have live bands that play outside on the patio, so that’s kind of cool. There are TVs everywhere you look on the inside, which is good for a sports bar. It’s a very family-friendly place, and there are often quite a few kids there during the dinner crowd. At night, obviously it becomes more of a bar, and it has its own set of regulars. It’s just not where I would go to catch a beer and a sports game. IMO, there are much better spots to accomplish this in Newport News. As for the food, I’m a big fan of Cuban Sandwiches, but they do not do it right. A Cuban does not have lettuce and tomato, and the bread needs to be pressed. So that was a fail to me. For lunch, you can get a half-sandwich half-soup or half-salad combo for right around $ 6. This is a better option than checking out the nighttime scene.
