Brickhouse Tavern

I love this place! Wings, calzone Philly cheesesteak, onion rings, fries all delicious and the prices are awesome. I wish there was one in Smithfield Va. Staff is friendly and service is quick. I highly recommend brick-​house to all

Met up with a large group of people here and didn’t really know what to expect. Upon sitting down, I saw some of their drink specials posted around and was already a fan. I am from DC, so seeing a beer for $ 2 was the greatest thing ever. Craft beer was ~$ 4 (I think it was HH pricing for that) either way, fell in love. Our party kept growing as more people rolled in, but our waiter was awesome and accommodated, which was great!
We started with the crazy bread, which was a HUGE white pizza made with a lot of butter and herbs, served with a side of sauce. PERFECT food to enjoy with a cold beverage. Still getting over how big that thing was!
I ordered a small pineapple pizza and my fiancé got a medium pepperoni. The size difference here was pretty epic! Mine was a pretty small personal and his could have fed four people! They weren’t shy when putting the pineapple on my pizza, so major points there. I will say that my favorite thing about Brickhouse Tavern pizza is the SAUCE! It was great! It is my personal belief that the sauce can make or break a pizza (not the cheese!), and this place did it right.
I was a little sad that I didn’t order any wings, but also really thankful that so many people at my table did because I got to try an orange wing and a jose wing. Both were excellent!
I would definitely recommend this place for a cold beer, good pizza and wings, along with excellent service!

Awesome little spot to get a bite to eat and grab a few drinks. Pizza was great and our server was attentive and on top of things the entire time. My only complaint was the elderly bastards sitting next to us complaining about not getting to sit at a particular booth… no fault of the restaurant, just annoying.

Since our first visit, this place has not continued to live up to its first impression.
First, the crew can often all hanging out together smoking cigarettes out by the dumpster. Do you really want a group of people responsible for making your food hanging out by a dumpster puffing on cigarettes? I dont.
Second, the have gotten sloppy. Just ordered a sandwich that was supposed to be toasted and have sauce… it came with neither. Also, my pepperoni pizza was missing the pepperoni. This was on top of whoever answered the phone acting like I was asking for a favor in ordering food.
Won’t be visiting this place again even though I live very close.

Really good pizza. Good location, pretty good drinks. My only complaint is that there’s frequently a ling wait and there is nowhere to stand and wait. Good outdoor seating and yummy food all around

Delicious, fantastic. I just moved to the area an wanted to tray a new eatery. Walking in the friendly waitstaff put DH and me at ease. Looking at the menu we had a bit of difficultly deciding where to began but we tried the jose boneless wings. fantastic flavor, a bit of heat but the taste was right on. We followed with a supreme pizza and a Falty burger OMG. DH was in heaven. An ice cold beer and the evening was complete. our first but definitely not our last visit. Did I mention the chocolate thunder dessert that we brought home ?? Perfect service, perfect food. perfect experience

Staff, great. Beer, great. Wings, great. Food, okay. We’ve been here three times and tried something different every time. Nothing has really wowed me but I do leave full. The sandwiches and dry and our entrees lacked flavor. The wings are pretty good though. Maybe for us this is more of a beer and a appetizer type place.

I literally Unilocaled for a pizza place near me and this place popped up. So my husband and I decided to give it a shot before our movie and I am so glad we did. I will say that it was packed so finding seating was pretty much get in where you fit in. However, once we found a seat our waiter was so awesome, he made sure we had everything we needed. We loved the place.
Prices are great and the pizza was huge and tasted amazing. Another plus was their drink specials. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in that area which I hope is soon.

We travel from Chesapeake just to have their pizza. It’s fresh and just delicious every single time we come. Very consistent.

This place has the best pizza in town! While it does get crowded during the weekend thanks to the nearby college, the service is always great. A good range of food and drinks available. The owners are almost always on site and make it an even more enjoyable atmosphere!

I’m conflicted between 3 & 4 stars. I lived in this neighborhood so I can walk to the Brickyard. Staff is friendly and they have decent beers on tap.
As far as food goes, the pizza is not bad (sauce is a little much), but the serving sizes are huge. Sandwiches and burgers are great. Nachos are one of our favorites.
This is a good stop for a beer and a bite and to catch a game.

We recently moved to the area and have been there twice now. I never thought a pizza place would be one of my favorite restaurants in the area. It has a casual but nice vibe and some really amazing staff.
I burned a very expensive dish the other day on a new stove (85% sure the thing burns food out of spite). I can count on one hand the dishes I have burned over the years so I was very upset and flustered at the time I placed the order on the phone. The man who answered was sweet and polite, just what I needed. When we went to pick it up, turns out I called the wrong location. The bartender was so nice and understanding about it, I’m sure I blushed but he never once made me feel stupid or silly. His polite and quick service was really a saving grace… as were the two tall beers we ordered.
As for people who say it is expensive, I would definitely disagree. Two tall (and I mean tall) local darker beers were only $ 8.95. Our large pizza that the two of us can eat dinner and two lunches off of was $ 18.50. Yea, that is more than dominoes I suppose but you aren’t paying for crap. The chicken was real chicken and the meat on the Supreme never once made me feel like I might be eating «road pizza» ;)
Stop reading Unilocal reviews and go.

I just moved to the area and ordered 2 cheese pizzas or for their $ 9.99 special today (Wed & Thurs) for lunch and I’m back again for dinner with my husband.
What a SUPER friendly staff. I am kind of shocked by how comfortable I feel when I walk in. The ambiance is casual and family-​friendly. The bar layout is nice and a good amount of seats (not to mention great specials on drinks!)
The pizza is delicious and super cheesy (yum!)
For dinner my husband ordered the Brickhouse Burger with fries as I got the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with onion rings. Not too fond of the onion rings, but that didn’t kill the meal. Everything was so freaking good and I enjoyed that my wrap looked more like a burrito!
Definitely will be back for more!

Wow. Love this place. Came here on a Monday night with my bf and it definitely a decent number of people in the restaurant. They have a wide selection of pizzas and great appetizers to choose from. On Monday, they have all you can eat wings for $ 10.95– but no sharing. My bf wanted the all you can eat and I wanted maybe 3 – 4 of his wings but we couldn’t share and you can’t take any home. I understand their policy but we had to get the 24 wings so that I could have some and it ended up being more expensive. Oh well. They were absolutely DELICIOUS. I believe we got them Jose style? I’m not positive. I ordered the white pizza and he got meat lovers (both small) they’re 8″ and generous portions. My pizza was great, he loved his. His had tons of meat on it. We had plenty to take home which made for a great lunch the next day. service was excellent too. Highly recommend

Great atmosphere and great drink prices.
In regards to food, they do a few things extraordinarily well. The pizza, wings and burgers are great. The rest of the menu isn’t gourmet, but doesn’t need to be. Enjoy the sports bar atmosphere and enjoy sports bar foods while you’re there.

I can only comment on take out and this review has nothing to do with the service or amount of time it took to cook our order (very timely in fact). Its just that I’m a pizza snob and being near NYC growing up makes a whole difference in your perception of pizza. It is not against anything about Brickhouse either.
I just felt like there could be more sauce on the pizza, we ordered am Italian pizza. Nothing special about the ingredients and I’ve had better sausage on a pizza. Again nothing against Brickhouse Tavern, I just have high expectations when it comes to my pizza!

I have to admit, I have never stepped inside here. We have had several occasions to have their pizza during our attendance at the Summer Concert Series at Port Warwick.
On Wednesday and Thursday night, you can get a large cheese pizza for 10 bucks. We tried this several times.
Have to say, this was a well made pizza. Lots of cheese with a slightly sweet sauce.
We have decided to go there to try out their full menu, as soon as we can.
Damn good pizza.
Recommended.

Service was awesome, but the food was horrible. Had high expectations after seeing its rating on Unilocal.
Walked in and was greeted by a nice, hearty «Welcome to Brickhouse!» which was nice.
Had a seat against the wall leading to the patio. My friend and I were pretty hungry so we decided to get some apps. I chose the chili cheese fries and she got the onion rings. The chili fries had no flavor, I couldn’t taste anything from the chili or the cheese. only the ketchup when I had to dip it in there. The onion rings were pretty good.
Ordered the Hawaiian burger as my entrée, guess I was expecting way too much. I thought it would come with a grilled pineapple slice, but instead I received a burger with chopped pineapple bits out of a can of Dole. a small smattering of mayo and an unseasoned burger patty. My friend ordered the Lulu burger and apparently that wasn’t good as well. She said it got better when she got some jalapeños in her bites.
The frequent looks of «what in the world are we eating», cemented the fact that we’re never going there for food again.
The waitresses were very nice though, if I HAD to go, I’d go for them. But not the food.

OK, so I visited this place in my «non-​Yelping» days and I do remember it was good. However fella Unilocalers deserve a good review so i will check this place out next weekend.
