The cashier was biting not her nails while talking to patrons… Although she didn’t touch the food it is still quite disgusting!

Came here last night when I went to the movies. While I was greeted and the workers were polite. I will not be eating here again. I ordered two MyPi pizzas one with just cheese the other with pepperoni, sausage, and green peppers. Took them like 15mins on my order. People who ordered after me got theirs before me so I guess my order was complicated. Pizza was pretty, very cheesy but when I opened my box there was no green peppers even tho I was charged for it –__– I was going to see a movie and didn’t have time to complain so we left. Once sitting down and we picked up a slice everything fell off. They thin the crust out waaaaay too much in the middle and the crust is thick and it’s very oily. My son actually began to shake his cheese off the pizza and was only eating bread and tomato sauce. I ended up buying a pizza from the concession stand for him. My advice skip this place it’s not worth it. The movie theater sells cheese and pepperoni pizza(it taste better too)

The pizza was great but the service sucked. I went about year ago & I was satisfied with the service. Maybe because there was actually a crowd to serve. Well, my best friend wanted to try My Pi because he recently moved to the area(Hampton). When we were about to go to that location, they were closed(Sunday). We decided to make that drive to Newport News. When we we came in, it seemed to be an issue like we were disturbing them. It was around 7:30 on a Sunday yes.. that means football was on. The person that was actually there when we walked in was watching football. He got up. no hello or anything.. and walked to the kitchen. He didn’t come out. We thought he was going to wash his hands and come but then someone else came out. As the pizza was being made, random maybe potential employees in no uniforms kept going into the kitchen. Then leaving. The person making our pizza barely took the time to actually speak and kept saying, «What else» and that’s it like everything was an issue. The cashier seemed like it was an issue to ring up my food and gave me a tone when she asked me to sign a receipt. While my best friend and I were dinning in, we were chatting. The employees were all over each other in front of us. They could have at least asked if we enjoyed our food but they were into the football game and each other. The price of the«personal pan» was a little much. I could have purchased a medium pizza at another business. I believe we pay just for a «Subway» or «Chiptole» like service. Again, pizza was great.. but the service.. not so.. great.

Power was out in the new plaza so when we called to see if they had power the gentleman on the phone put me on hold instantly. Once we got there, both workers were very dull And boring. The music was turned up so loud that I could probably have worn ear muffs and still heard it(just because your in between 2 bar scenes, doesn’t mean you have to be the same. Not to mention the music choice of 90’s slow Jams clashed with the environment.). My 4 year old hated the pizza taste if that tells you anything. Never going here again, waste of $ 23 for two 9″ pizzas!

The pizza tasted good and was a very generous serving for a personal pizza. You order at the counter and they make it right in front of you. Took less than 5 minutes. Overpriced though… think movie theater prices. $ 24 for 2 personal pizzas and 2 small drinks.

Service was fast! Pizza was delicious! The pizza is a little bigger than a personal size. I had some leftover to take home. The vegetables that I had as toppings were fresh. Will definitely visit during happy hour next time!

This is the pizza place attached to the Paragon Theater, and they have a captive customer base of moviegoers. As such, they’re waaaay overpriced. Two personal pizzas and two beers cost us almost $ 40. The pizza is made fresh, and it’s pretty tasty. Also they have a really good beer selection for a conveyor belt pizza place. However, due to the price I would never eat here if I wasn’t in for a movie.

Pizza is fresh, top notch, delicious, hit he spot & perfect for families and friends with different taste in toppings. My family of five, we have our own preference in toppings. This place is perfect because everyone is satisfied.

When I saw pizza bar I thought this is going to be great! Create your own pizza, choose a creative pizza flavor… but I was wrong. The layout was casual and the décor was almost hipster, it had nice vibes walking in. Upon walking up to order there was a gentleman ahead of us and just one guy manning behind the counter, and he was making the other guys order. My husband and I received no acknowledgement upon entering or waiting for him to finish the order. We stood there for over 5 minutes when finally out of the woodwork 3 other employees step out and begin to help the guy making the pizzas and working the register. Finally it was our turn to order and the guy barely mumbled a greeting and asked what we wanted to order. My husband got the buffalo chicken pizza and a beer, and I got the chicken carbonara with a cup for water. My mouth dropped when the guy at the register said $ 30…but maybe this would be the best pizza ever and be worth it, sadly not. We got our pizzas promptly which was awesome and started to eat. After a bite of mine and one of my husband’s, I soon realize that I could’ve made this at home for ¼ of the price and 4x the taste. Moral of the story: unless you need a snack before a movie and want a plain pizza during their happy hour, make your own at home.

Decided to try this place. Pizza was quickly made. Ordered one to share and got two drinks. Image my surprise when the total came to $ 19! $ 3.95 was for a bottle of water. And it was the 16.9oz size you by yourself at the grocery store in the 24 count pack. I was very upset. I know things are overpriced but this was ridiculous! If you get a pizza go elsewhere for a drink. Just crazy the price of the drinks especially the water. Pizza was decent but not something to rave about. Nice option though when headed to a movie.

I decided to give this business a second chance last night, but unfortunately, my 2nd visit was worse than my first. Upon approaching the counter, I was not acknowledged or greeted in any sort of way. The two«cooks» were busy prepping pizzas, one girl aimlessly stood at the register waiting for her prince to come, another stood in the back as if he wasn’t allowed to do anything in the front-end, and a more senior employee(I presume to be the manager) who spent his time taking pictures of the employees with his smartphone not noticing the growing line of customers who are hungry for pizza on a Friday night, this senior employee then quickly ducked out never to be seen again. The employees are in serious need of some valuable customer service training. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, with my arms now folded, one of the cooks decided it was finally time to acknowledge me & take my order. I gave her my order, and off went the pizza into the oven. During this time, I decided to pay closer attention to preparation process right behind the counter. The first red flag is that they put way too much oil on their pans, so much oil that there were chunks of it that had gathered up on the sides of the pans & on the plastic wrap. The second red flag was the dough balls themselves having more oil & shine on them than Kim Kardashian. I realized that these two problems are what directly contributes to the common complaint from other reviewers about the crust being too soggy/the toppings falling right off the pizza: Too much oil on too thin of a pizza. Needless to say, I was not pleased with my final product as it once again was a $ 9 oily mess of toppings that fall right off the pizza as soon as you pick it up. As much as I enjoy the idea of a build-your-own pizza place, MyPi executes this concept so poorly that I cannot bring myself to return to this place ever again.

Seems like a good concept but it doesn’t quite deliver. I’ve been there twice-the first time was soon after it opened and the second time I went because I got a birthday coupon for a free pizza, so I decided to give it another shot. The first time I went, I ordered my Pi with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and the spicy marinara sauce(which was actually pretty spicy). The second time I went, I got the same ingredients but with regular marinara. I won’t be back for a few reasons: — The crust/bread was so soggy that the toppings and cheese fell off the second I picked it up. The only thing left was tomato sauce. I did try to fold the slices of it like a taco, but the crust was so soggy, it was hard for the toppings to stay put. I ended up using silverware to eat it(something that should never be done with pizza). The second time I went, the exact same thing happened. During this visit, I saw that the same thing happen to a customer(toppings sliding off) and she did not look too pleased. –Didn’t like the either sauce. The spicy was too spicy and regular sauce tasted sweet. I make pizza at home and I spice that up differently-mostly I let the fresh ingredients do all the work. I guess it did have flavor needless to say. –Customer service was ok. –I did see them work the dough both times just for a few seconds. My biggest peeve was the bread/crust. Whats the point in eating pizza if the toppings won’t stay on? Even eating it like a taco was hard and messy. I’ll stick with Donatos or DiGiorno frozen pizza if I want a non restaurant pizza. If I do go to a restaurant for pizza, there are plenty of family owned ones to choose from like Dino’s or Sal’s(Williamsburg, VA).

Eh! The concept of making your own pizza is fun but the execution at mypi has definitely missed the mark. Maybe I expected to much but I think my feelings were confirmed when I paid $ 18 bucks for two pizza and realized how boring this place was and how not interactive it was. A place like this has tons of potential but plays it safe and that’s why me and my wife are the only ones in here.

I really enjoy this place. The people are always so nice. The prices are fair. About $ 10 for a good size personal pizza. You can choose what toppings you want. Their sauce is incredible, with a gorgeous basil taste.(I love basil!) the cheese is wonderful and stringy like it should be and the crust is crisp and chewy. We come here most times that we got to the paragon theater and order our pizza to go so we can eat it while watching the movie. Dinner and a movie at the same time… Yes please! Perfect date night!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The pizza was good and well priced but nothing special. My husband and I decided to give this a shot for a dinner date and on that level we were very disappointed. The layout, décor, and method of ordering leaves a lot to be desired as far as ambiance. We each got a pizza and beer, which was served in pizza boxes and plastic solo style cups. If we sat inside it would have felt like eating at a food court. We chose to go outside but the music on the patio was so loud we couldn’t even enjoy just relaxing, let alone having a conversation. We asked if it could be turned down and between the theatre and Restaurant– no one seemed to know who controlled the volume. We ate quickly and headed over to the cove to be able to relax on the patio and enjoy our«dinner date». A few days later we had dinner at salsa’s and could hear the music over the salsa’s patio music– ridiculous! I won’t be going back here to enjoy a dinner out but if you’re headed into the movie it’s a great setup I’m sure. Just doesn’t seem like it’s meant to be a restaurant on it’s own.

The pizza was ordered similar to a subway or qdoba. Prices were reasonable with the most expensive specialty pizza coming in at $ 9.99. Good option for a 3 topping pizza at $ 7.50 with additional toppings at .75 each. Not a solid four stars because they were out of bacon and large drink cups. Disappointing not to have bacon with ham and pineapple on a nice day.

Sorry folks, I’ve had pizza all over the country and most of the world… this is some of the worst pizza I’ve ever had. I’m all about these new boutique pizza franchises that offer a «make your own pizza» gimmick. But in this case? I’d rather eat dominos. First off, pizza does not belong on a conveyor belt. Your crust may look cooked on the outside? But it’s rubber on the inside and won’t hold toppings. Secondly…if you are gonna offer fresh spinach… don’t put in on top of all the other toppings… unless you enjoy the crunch of raked leaves on your pizza. Again… a wood fired oven wouldn’t have done that. Lastly…take 20 seconds and hand toss the flavorless dough you’re serving your customers. An aerator is a crappy facsimile. You guys get one star because the beer selection is decent. Bottom line, there are plenty of good mom and pop shops in Newport News VA that offer superior quality to this junk.

What a great new addition to City Center! My Pi is located with an entrance inside the new Paragon 12 as well as an exterior entrance and you can take to-go orders home, inside the theater or to be enjoyed on the patio. My Pi gives you plenty of «favorite» options for your personal Pizza combination or the option to create your own — ranging from $ 7.50-$ 9 these Pizzas are not only a great deal, but are enough food to be split comfortable by 2 people. They also serve beer(served in to-go cups so you can enjoy at your movie) My Pizza was delicious and perfectly cooked, I know I’ll be back again soon for my next pizza craving!
