Oh gosh! I had so much expectations for this place. My family and I always eAt Mexican food. And when I came here I was so excited to try the food.
Service: the host sat us at a dirty table and gave us dirty menus with food on it. So my family and I moved to a different table.
Waitress: she was good at first then things took a turn when her and the bust boy were arguing in front of everyone. She forgot to bring us our queso. Then the queso was cold when she brought it. We decided before someone do something to the food were not going to eat it. So we waited another 40mins just for our food to come. Then when it came we had to ask for utensils which took another 5mins.
Food: When it came the rice was hard, my chicken was burnt and the beans had been sitting for awhile. I ended up saying I just don’t want it. When I explained what was wrong she didn’t even offer to fix it. She snatch the plate and stomped. It was so bad I started eating my child kids meal. So I ate nothing and was still hungry be cuz I ate 1 chicken tender and a few fries from my child. We even wrote on our receipt worst service ever. I would NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE! If u want food that is cold and no silverware to eat and staff arguing In front of the guest. Then u should go.
We go out a lot and this was by far the worst ever.

Usually I love this place but normally I go there in the summer to sit on the balcony. Today it is a cold February Lenten Friday and we decided to go inside and eat fish taco’s there. First time eating this dish normally i get things like fajitas which I like. In general the food is what I would say better than fast food and about the same as any chain restaurant, but I digress. The tacos where suppose to be white fish they where not they were swi catfish and the fish was not prepared correctly and tasted like the bottom of a river. so not edible! I sent it back and just watched my other half eat while munching on chips.
I will give it three stars because the service was very very good and because of all past experiences at this location have all been good.

This was the WORST experience I have ever had. Food took forever and when it came it was cold and soggy. Found a hair in it. Terrible experience. I will never eat here again.

I’m being generous with two stars. They are for the location, along the ohio river. Me and my husband love food with a view. The day was beautiful so we sat outside under a shade umbrella and watched the boats go by… That was really all that was great about it. The food, is Taco Bell. Let’s get real. I had three enchiladas that were soaked in grease. The chicken one was watery, I’m not sure how chicken becomes soaking wet, it wasn’t the sauce they topped it with. My husbands chicken burrito was exactly the same. The only yummy thing there was to eat was the unlimited free chips and salsa. If I had known, I would have ordered nothing. So if you are looking for a good place to view the river on a nice day and eat greasy overpriced Taco Bell, this is it. I will never eat there again, unfortunately.

This place is awful! I recommend closing this dump down and opening another restaurant in its place that’s not Don Pablo’s.
Food is tasteless and greasy… service is extremely slow.
Managers are useless and rude.
If you have any type of occasion to celebrate it will be ruined… guaranteed. Lots of families with crying children… and you can never get a table outside.

My fiancé and I were hungry for Mexican and because it was such a beautiful day we decided to head to the river. Enter, Don Pablos. It was a Tuesday, around 4:30 when we entered the restaurant. After being «greeted» by a less than enthusiastic «hostess» we were taken to our table. We opened our menu to take a look and it wasn’t good. It was hard to read through the splatterings of salsa and melted cheese. Trying to be optimistic we enjoyed the lovely view while waiting for our server. Ten minutes pass and we start looking around. There were maybe 5 tables at most yet no one had time for us. We waited another 7 minutes to no avail. We left a post it note on the table explaining what happened and why we left. It’s probably still there. Long story short, we’ll never go back.

Gross location. Man at table next to us spilled a beer as we sat down. Server, who ended up at our table, immediately replaced his beer, although he had knocked it over. No one greeted us or acknowledged that an entire beer was all over the floor between us and all over my sons legs and shoes. Finally server asked what we’d like to drink and 20 minutes later, still beer on floor… a lot of beer.20 oz glass. Our drinks brought and we asked to be moved away from the beer spill since no one had yet cleaned. Inside was pretty empty yet when we said we’d stay as long as floor mopped up, still no apology for the spillage just a terse «haven’t had time to mop it up». Food usual, nothing great but not bad. Won’t be back.
Also complained on the restaurant website and received a call almost immediately. Wanted additional info to address with staff; but judging from recent comments, not sure if it will help or not. I was impressed with the quick reply.

My salad was horrible, I didn’t even want to eat it. It was so plain, it looked like just some iceberg lettuce with about 5 tiny pieces of nuts (walnuts?) and some tasteless chicken chunks. I used to love this salad! Not sure what is going on but it was definitely the worst salad I’ve ever been served. Then when I went in to use the restroom, the floor was filthy! I used to really like coming to this location. I don’t know what’s going on here, but it’s not good. I was there at lunchtime. The waitress was good and friendly. The view is awesome. Such a shame. It was almost empty too and now I know why. I won’t be back anytime soon.

Ordered just a bean burrito and it came out with a crunchy (old) burrito shell, the refried beans were stuck to the plate as was the rice and it was crunchy also (old). The whole plate was COLD and the service was at best mediocre!

They did a nice job on our anniversary lunch. Great view as always. Thanks for the nice afternoon. It was the pre-​empt to a Fantastic 15 yrs remembered FANTASTIC Evening.

Good food great prices, great location with a view of downtown Cincinnati on the Ohio river. One of my girlfriends favorite places to eat.

Right off the bat, had horrible service. We went to the front to wait to seat, roughly 20 min wait. We the. Decided to sit at the bar. The bar tenders were great, but the nachos we ordered were cold and seemed like it missed the spot. No cheese, very little sour cream, even less guac. Way too much COC (chip on chip). Over all, horrible. Thanks.

I have to start by saying the food was excellent here. The the service was so so the food took a little while to come out but in the long run was not that bad.

Good food when you are battling a hangover or have friends coming into town for the weekend. Great margaritas and a great view of downtown Cincinnati.

I absolutely loved the food. But the service on the other hand, horrible. Just horrible! We were there a total of 2 hrs because if the waiting and waiting. She never gave us napkins, we had to get up and get our own silverware. She messed our checks up twice. She never go us refills. We had to ask multiple times for refills and only ended up with one. I used to love this place, but never again due to the service

The bucket of cheese dip is so good I want to stick a straw in it and drink it until closing time!

Service here is consistently terrible. You feel like you have bothered the servers for even walking through the door.
Food is overpriced and overall just «meh».

You can’t beat the view. It’s nice to sit outside and drink a margarita but the food is pretty mediocre. I got the one thing on the menu that wasn’t a million calories and it was a salad. It was delicious and I appreciate that they gave me choices on how to make the salad more customized. I don’t like the limited choices for those watching their caloric intake. Service was fine and I loved the view but for this occasion, it probably wasn’t the right choice.

My wife and I had lunch here today and we felt everything was good. No complaints about anything. Service was good, food was good, and the outside dining overlooking the river was a treat. Also a close walk to the Ferry boat that takes you across to the stadium.
Would go back again!

My dad and I have been going to Don Pablos on the river since I was a little girl. It’s tradition and I still love it as much now as I did back then. Really, you can’t beat the view, especially on a warm summer night.
Don Pablos is probably some of the better Mexican food you’re going to get in the Cincinnati area. I’ve never had a problem here (okay maybe one issue with service a few years back but no big deal I’ll let it slide). The food is always tasty and the service prompt. Prices are decent too, definitely cheaper than some of the Mexican places I go to in Houston. Last weekend we were here and got two meals and three alcoholic beverages and including tip was $ 40, so that’s pretty great!
If it’s a nice night I would definitely recommend getting a table outside and enjoying the breeze :)
