Ok I tried to give Zerzee a chance. The bar tenders and kitchen staff control the loud rap music and song choices. Who do they want there? They have run me off.. If you're not a regular there your nobody. They don't talk to you say hi or crap... Your lucky you get a drink... These bar tenders need someone to hire a company to clean the bar because they sure don't. Who pays the bills? Was the sound system installed for the staff? They charge same price during happy hour.. Their slogan "If you're not a regular you don't belong"

Bones Egan Had my wives 60th Birthday Party January 23rd, invited 75 people the food and drinks by the most friendly staff you can get was awesome. The owners coming back to see if everything is going to your satisfaction, when the food runs out you can order more and the kitchen guys make sure its hot, fresh and delicious. The party is private and if you don’t want people to smoke that’s up to you. I had my party 5 to 8 and everyone had a good time. My special thanks to Ashlee who runs Private Parties and is a fantastic employee. She will help you in anyway to make your Party a success. This was my second party this year and everything goes just the way you want it to go.

Best sports bar in NKY. Good food(check out the great soup specials), very nice staff and mix of people. If smoking offends you, then go to the Levy. If you want a fun sports bar experience, then stop by here.

Was very unimpressed from the beginning of my visit! Walked in right away smelled like a smoke filled urnial(isn’t everyone going to non smoking, it’s 2015). My girlfriend and I sat down at the bar and it took us over 15 mins to get a drink. Bartenders were too busy taking shots amongst themselves. I later got waited on Bo or boo who introduced himself as the«manager»…I’m willing to let a lil fun go unnoticed but I just couldn’t. He was super UNPROFESSIONALANDRUDE! I waited gladly so him and his employees could have some fun and relax during a rush but was treated like complete shit. He told his employees quietly that I was on a «tinder date» and wasn’t going to give us attention… little he did he know I was out with my fiancé and was pissed about what was happening. I would hope that after reading this message he should be fired immediately and hire someone who actually wants to serve people and not PROFILE them!

Went to Jerzees a few months ago. Horrible service and the bartender(Candace) and Manager(Boo) were extremely rude and inappropriate. I was with my family and all we could talk about was how unprofessional and rude these two were. They kept taking shot after shot, talking very, very inappropriately and treated us like crap. Boo was also exceptionally rude to the two couples next to me. How can your company employ these two individuals? They also allow you to smoke inside. So if you want to smell like a dirty cigarette and get horrible, horrible service, along with listening to constant inappropriate comments, come here. I will never, ever go back

Always have enjoyed coming here. The employees have always been welcoming and the prices are great. The back patio is absolutely AMAZING. If you ever go I highly suggest sitting outside. Out of the few bars in Newport, it definitely stands out as one of my favorites. Tons of televisions and a large food menu. I hate when I see a star taken away for smoking. Welcome to Kentucky people. Ohio is just across the river.

This is a bar that serves food and permits smoking. TVs, a bar, tables, dark indoors and SMOKY. if you are a non smoker you won’t last 5 minutes go somewhere else

Bar food, mostly burgers and wraps. They take pride in their burgers, and justifiably so. Fresh-ground Angus, with excellent flavor. Grilled extremely well. Best burger I’ve had in some time. They also make their own beer cheese dip, which is EXCELLENT with the pretzel bites. I’d go back just for that alone. Good beer selection, lots of TVs. It’s kind of dark, and kind of loud, but as bars go I have no complaints. It’s smoky, so be prepared for that. They do keep cigars out until late, so it’s not as bad as it could be. Definitely go for the burgers.

My husband and I were in the Newport area and wanted to watch the NFL playoffs. We stumbled on JerZees and wanted to give it a try. We are aware that some bars in Kentucky still allows smoking. JerZees is one of them. The stench was really bad(had that mildewy smell). I was going to walk out but wanted to give the bar a chance and see what kind of specials they had to offer. We sat at the bar and was waited on right away. The bartender was really nice and attentive. We got the $ 10.00 bucket(5 bottle domestics) of beer. We drank Coors Light. There were enough widescreens and the bar was spacious. Décor was okay, nothing spectacular or anything that stood out. It felt/looked dirty, but at least the bathrooms were clean. We did not order food and just had drinks. From what I read online, there is a Heated Party Patio with Bar & Music, Live Music Weekends &DJ on Fridays. We were just passing through. Until it’s smoke free, I don’t think we will return.

3.5 stars. Their patio might be the best-kept secret on Monmouth St. Very spacious and a cool atmosphere. The first time I came here I didn’t even know about it. I definitely enjoyed the cute and friendly bartender too. However… the smoke sucks and the inside is nothing too exciting. Regular beers, standard bar TV’s. I suggest parking in the lot across the street and hitting up Pepper Pod before heading home. Anti-Levee Newport Night Out!

I went up to Newport to visit some good friends and we decided to have lunch here. Our waitress was so nice, one of the bartenders sent our table a free round of shots, it was within walking distance of my friends house and to top it off my burger and fries were superb. The fries had some sort of seasoning on them that was to die for. All in all, I really enjoyed JerZee’s and I’m sure I’ll be back again with my Newport/Cincy friends.

A group of my friends went here Saturday night. I didn’t know what to expect from a bar on Monmouth street. I was pleasantly surprised. The interior of the bar was clean & welcoming & the enclosed patio was great! The group I was with consisted of about 15 people. All of us ordered drinks as well as food. The drinks were great & the food arrived at our table at almost lightning speed! Definitely a gem.

We walking down the street after a Unilocal event at the Falcon Theater on a weeknight, and heard an amazingly diverse mix of jams and started to investigate. Our ears took us to JerZee’s. Unfortunately, the rad tunes were for a private party in the back, so we didn’t get to check it out. But, we bought a round and found a seat. Some great people watching and decent selection on tap for a neighborhood bar. It was a bit loud for the number of people in the place, but we were still able to enjoy our conversation. It is in The Commonwealth, so be prepared for some smoking.

Stiff drinks and a nice patio is about all you need to know about this bar, its smoky, and reasonably priced, on thursday’s they have tropical themed artists, the last time there was a steel drum player who was pretty good, and gave a great atmosphere to the place. come for the patio, stay for the drinks, leave for the smoke, or stay longer, whatever you feel like. …

Not exactly my kind of bar, but there was nothing really wrong with it. This seems to be your typical sports type bar. I felt pretty guilty as a group of my friends came in with pizza we got somewhere else. Had I not been in a large group I probably would have finished my pizza out front before entering. We were greeted with some discomforting glares, but nobody really said anything and we were left alone. We found a nice sized open table at the back and a server came to our table not long after we had sat down. I was going to order a single beer, but she informed me that there was a sale on buckets. It was both a good deal and feeling bad about the aforementioned situation I felt it would behoove all of us to order more than a single drink before ditching. I’m not in Kentucky often and I don’t like how smokey the bars are, I don’t know that I’ll be back.

Ken invited me to Dive bar of the month club, being an avid dive bar fan I had to show up. When you walk in the door the place smells like my grandads ashtray. At least this time i remembered i was going to KY so i wore the clothes i use to work on the car. The happy hour menu was nice, half price appetizers and $ 10 buckets of beer. Not a good alcohol special, but half price appetizers are nice. The group ordered nacho’s, mozzarella stick, and jalapeño poppers. All of which were your standard bar fare. Ken got a grilled cheese, most of the group got a burger, they do have mini burgers 2 for $ 4. I wish they had a variety of different toppings, that would of been fun to order a a variety pack of burgers. Parking is on the street, there was a lot next to it, but i never trust those places. All in the all the bar seemed like a normal sports bar, nothing on super sale, nothing out of the ordinary. I really wouldn’t consider this a dive bar though.

Before seeing the show 39 Steps at the Falcon/Monmouth Theatre our group decided to preparty and grab a few drinks at JerZee’s. The first thing that hits you is a wave of cigarette smoke and some pretty wicked stares by the regulars. Ordering drinks at the long bar was easy and fast. The prices are pretty good and the beer bucket special is nice. The tables in the back are long and good for big groups. We had at least 10 people so this place worked well. As we left, we all commented about how bad we smelled of smoke. I know it’s Kentucky, and I’ve commented negatively about this aspect in a number of my reviews recently, but eventually smoking has got to be an outside only activity, especially where food is served. Having that smell baked into one’s winter coat is not cool.(I don’t know how people afford smoking these days anyways, prices seem pretty high) Oh well, fortunately I do not ever need to return, and since there were plenty of happy people inside, this place will carry on without this non smoker and be just fine. *Cathy R. mentions a patio, I assume this would lessen the smoke problems and might appease people like me. Cool!

Went there last night with a friend to grab a quick bite to eat. The cheese fries were to die for, I am already planning my next trip back just to have the cheese fries! My friend and I both ordered chicken tenders(serving was huge) and the price was great! Next time we will only order one serving of chicken tenders and share them. Drinks were very cheap too. The only reason they didnt get 5 stars is because our server was very busy chatting up a handsome guy at the bar and kind of ignored us when we were trying to pay our check and leave. I actually got up from our table and walked over to her to ask if we could please pay our check. Will definitely come back though and check out the patio next time!
