Raw Power Juice Bar

Food was gross at best! Oily rice lacked flavor and substance. I expected vegis in my Aztec but 4 kernels of corn and 5 black beans was overwhelming. Never again! Had lunch with 2 friends and we were all put off.

Newport needed a place like Raw Power. I’ve been a frequent customer since they were located on Bellevue — the new location is much more central. Every single item on the menu is downright delicious. It’s entirely vegan, but you wouldn’t notice the difference. The prices are EXTREMELY cheap, especially for a vegan restaurant. The service is the one aspect where this place falls short. I would recommend the black bean and rice burger and the almond power — it tastes like a milkshake! Very good for takeout. They also deliver.

1– Food: I ordered the ‘Spicy’ juice and a vegetable wrap. Both were fantastic. I got them to go and the wrap smelled so great that I could not wait to eat it!
2– Staff: Polite and professional! The lady gave me an extra pineapple curry dip along with my wrap which was fantastic.
3– Environment: good for small or large groups
I would be much more happy if the juice was a bit larger for the same price or a bit cheaper for the amount I got.

Vegan, Gluten Free options — Sandwiches & Smoothies

Finally tried a few food items and the place just seems to be a hit or miss. The juices are too small and the food varies depending on what you order but it always takes forever to prepare regardless. I want to like this place since it’s one of the few healthy spots in town but the food is overpriced and bland especially the soups and the staff has never made me feel welcome when I go in there as if they’re annoyed to have business. Bummer. Back to A Market for me

While their products are awesome — the service is some of the slowest I have ever received. You wait 10 – 15 minutes for a juice, which is expected. But I just waited 45 minutes for a black bean burger to go, in their unreasonably warm facility. With no apology, and no inclination that a burger would actually take that long. The staff is very nice, but seems kind of disorganized.

Dirty
This place needs a good clean and a fix up. It’s not the silly décor it’s the dirty windows, floor, old papers for menus and type up a clean list behind the counter. If it’s this dirty in the front I don’t want to see behind that big counter! I only had a juice because I didn’t want to try the food due to the cleanliness.

Loved it!!! I needed some energy and they hooked me up with a blend of beets, orange and apple with a few secret organic weapons that really gave me a burst of good energy! The drink was amazingly refreshing!!! I wish I had a place like this in my town except it probably wouldn’t last, I would be their only customer!!!
I highly recommend to anyone who likes raw food, organic drinks or is living a healthy lifestyle!!!

Amazing is all I can say! I have ordered delivery twice now and both times I have been impressed! Not just with the delicious vegan dishes but the staff also! From the girl that answered the phone and took my order to the delivery guys — both times — super nice!
I had the zucchini spaghetti — both times! I also tried Jose’s Falafel salad! So good! Everything is so fresh and tasty! It’s hard to believe it’s all vegan!!! I can’t say enough about this place!!! Definitely worth the try!

I want to give this place 5 stars as the food is healthy and delicious, however I don’t understand why a place that is ostensibly about good all natural food is serving all it’s good on disposal plastic plates. We were asked if we were taking our food to go or staying and were given all plastic packaging despite our decision to eat in.

I am so glad that this place exists! I was very sad when it closed at it’s previous location, but like the Phoenix it’s reborn in a cozy neighborhood. Get your healthy fix here! Support a cool local business.

Loved raw power on Bellevue… and love it on Broadway too! This place rocks! Smoothies and juices sre awesome. Plenty if yummy options, also plenty of room to customize if you desire. Love the zucchini bowls. Owner is super pleasant and passionate. Happy to have them back !!!

Love that they’ve opened up on broadway and closed the location at that dreadful mini mall. It’s definitely more accessible to their core clientele and a perfect addition to restaurant row.
The veggie burger is supreme and the juices are cheap and generous! They are certainly taking my business away from Keenwah.
The owner is lovely but too solicitous. He would do better holding back and letting His superior product do all the talking.
Otherwise, LOVE this place…

Honestly, I grew up in Newport County, and I never thought I’d see the day where a vegetarian juice bar opened up in the land of overpriced seafood tourist traps. The island really needed a place like Raw Power. Despite the trend, it’s less common to find vegetarian restaurants in Rhode Island than Boston so whenever one pops up, I’m all over it. Apparently, Raw Power relocated to Broadway after a year long hiatus from their Bellevue location, and I couldn’t be happier. The inside is really cute, lots of natural light and hanging plants everywhere, feels like Tumblr in real life. There is plenty of seating if you opt to stay rather than carry out. The staff is always always always on point, it’s truly admirable. One of the best counter staffs I’ve ever had the pleasure of ordering from, couldn’t be more helpful or sweet.
Okay okay, on to food. I love me a fresh juice even in the winter. I’m no expert, but based on my limited knowledge I think RP uses a centrifugal juicer vs a higher quality masticating juicer, because my juice oxidized and separated after just a few minutes. Still tasty, but my advise? Suck’em down fast.
I was intrigued with the zucchini spaghetti. I don’t own a spirializer, so I’ve never made veggie noodles myself. I was amazed with the result– delicious noodle-​like zucchini shreds dressed with your choice of sauce. The pesto and red sauce are to die for! They offer the zucchini spaghetti in tons of ways, totally customizable. RPJB has yummy sandwiches and the SALADS. I can’t even talk about the salads, but trust me when I say they are amazing (I am NOT a salad person, but the ones here have made me a believer). Everything is reasonably priced, comparable to pretty much all healthier restaurants. I’m happy Newport has tapped into the wonderful world of savory vegetarian food. I’d love to see them start baking dessert!

Great food and unreal atmosphere! Seriously a great deal! The owners are extremely knowledgable about what they do, why their in business and the best drink soup sandwich combo you can get. All the food is incredibly fresh and prepared directly on the spot. The atmosphere is extremely chill and laid back but bright colors and eye opening. The location is in the heart of newports historic district which makes for a great evening walk with the juice and dinner to go. I would highly recommend the Jose falafels with a bean burger. For a drink either the «Prudence Island» «Patience Island» or any «Green Series».
