I love fro-yo. A LOT! Beluga is now my favorite fro-yo place in Little Rhody! You can try as many flavors as you want before you go for the mother load, which is nice. They had around 10 different options. I went with the coconut which is way better than another fro-yo place I have been to recently… I will not name names, but it rhymes with Stink Cherry. There were a lot of topping options and they all looked fresh. The man working was super nice! If you check in on Unilocal!you get a discount, and if you follow Beluga on Facebook you can find out what flavors they offer before you stop in. Beluga is a little difficult to find, but very much worth the effort!

Sooooooo Good! The flavors are interesting and outrageously delicious. I love the assortment of toppings –especially the fresh fruit. This froyo bar is brilliant. A fantastic option for an afternoon snack or a satisfying dessert!

Good fro-yo but watch out the prices can sneak up on you! I liked that you can try every flavor before you go in for the plunge. The flavors also rotate which is nice. There are plenty of toppings to choose from and if you’re like me you just end up throwing everything on there and end up eating toppings instead of fro-yo. That being said. the price was a little ridiculous(more than an actual tub of ice cream at the supermarket. is that a joke?) Tip: Check-in to Beluga Fro-Yo for 10% of your total! Woo!

I had an excellent time! My girlfriend and I were on vacation and were walking when she begged for some fro-yo(I wanted a beer). We came in and saw that it was great like they have out west. It’s the self serve with a variety of flavors and toppings. That’s the best, you pick what you want and how much. We were just sitting enjoying and it was slow. So the owner came out and offered to play xbox. It was a dance off kinda thing, even though we only did one round against him each. I lost but my girlfriend beat him. I didn’t expect to have that much fun there but it sure made for a great stop!

Beluga is definitely a MUST if you’re in the Newport Area! There are 10 different varieties of frozen yogurt that get swapped out often so you can always find something new! There are tons of toppings to choose from — both on the healthy and not so healthy sides! The staff is unbelievably friendly and make you feel totally comfortable even if it’s your first time(and nothing is worse than an employee who is rude to you at a self-serve place for not knowing what to do!). They’re really good about having a loyal base of customers with their rewards card where after 8 purchases you get a free cup! I recommend this place to all of my friends around here. And at 49 cents an ounce it’s extremely affordable(just be careful not to fill up the big cups too much if it’s just for one person! made that mistake before and I couldn’t finish it!). 5⁄5! (Wrote this review a while ago! Just now realizing that you have to confirm your email to make the review post! Haha)

I love this place!!! I have been in Newport since March and I cannot believe I just discovered this frozen yogurt heaven!!! Aaah!!! You can choose your own flavor and then add as many or as little toppings as you want! It is all self serve, and then you pay by weight! It is 49 cents per ounce and oh my gosh the selection of toppings are sure to pack on some weight!!! This is a must try! The service is great! Very friendly, very helpful, and they encourage you to sample!

What a fun place! Friendly, helpful service! This was our first visit to Beluga, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us samples and explained the process. They have a huge variety of flavors and toppings. It was a dream come true for my daughter! Can’t wait to return!!!

This place is awesome. We’ve desperately been needing some good froyo in newport and Beluga Froyo hits the spot. They have a TON of toppings and they switch around the yogurt flavors so you’ll never get bored with the selection. It’s also just a really cool place to hang out with your friends. They have seating inside and out so you can eat your yogurt wherever. All and all i think its just a really fun place with really good froyo. Plus the couple who own it are really chill and approachable as well. Definitely try this place out!

It was a very hot weekend and FroYo sounded like the perfect lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to find around 10 flavors of frozen yogurt(including vanilla, red velvet cake, and peanut butter), and probably 30 different topping choices, ranging from fresh fruit to candy and breakfast cereals. The staff were all very pleasant, and they helped me entertain my daughter while I got my yogurt and toppings(including warm peanut butter sauce, yum!!!). Everything tasted delicious! The reason for 4 starts and not 5: it’s not cheap($ 0.49 per ounce), and the bowls are huge, making it hard to dish out a fair portion. This wasn’t such a big problem, though, since I came back for more the next day. :)

A pleasant surprise to find a froyo place in Newport. Like all self-serve places, it’s easy to go overboard but that’s the fun in it. You decide how much and what you want. The selection is on rotation though I haven’t seen an actual board of when they would go up. Heard it was in the works, that’ll definitely help. A Kinect with Dance Central is something I wouldn’t expect to see here. A small problem is the Kinect is near a few tables where seating is already at a minimum w/o eating outside. I’m sure there could be a balance to when to have it active. Having said all that, I would still come here. Plus the owner is a chill guy, very approachable.

I was very excited that Newport finally had a froyo place, but after visiting this location I was so disappointed. Lets start talking about the froyo consistency and flavors. Any froyo store would have the original, tart flavor, but not this one(HELLO, froyo means frozen YOGURT, not sorbet or ice cream soft serve!!!). When I asked, the guy working there directed me towards a vanilla flavor, which would be the closest to what I was looking for. BUT, not even close. Most of the flavors I tried tasted extremely sweet and sugary. The consistency was also very watery; the second it came out the machine, it was melting in my paper bowl. Then, I head over to the toppings… they had a good variety of fresh fruit, although not very well presented, looking very sloppy. But that’s okay. I then looked for the famous froyo cheesecake bites… but they also didn’t have it. Come on!!! Lastly, the price. My boyfriend and I together were charged a total of $ 12, and we didn’t even have a half full paper bowl(the smaller size). For that much money I would expect delicious, rich, creamy flavors and a better variety of toppings, but what I got was sugary, watery ice-cream. Definitely not worth your money!

Finally, Newport jumps in on the froyo craze! Beluga Froyo is adorable. I love how it is self serve(pay by the ounce) and have a nice rotating selection of different flavors. They have a relatively good selection on toppings and it is fun to experiment with what they have. The Kinect is a fun addition to the shop, but I think because it needs so much space, with not enough places to sit it’s like Beluga encourages people to buy their froyo and walk out rather than stick around. As a customer I don’t really appreciate that. Maybe offering the Kinect once or twice a week on Fridays and Saturdays would be cool? Otherwise, I don’t really want to sit in the hot sun outside eating melted frozen yogurt. If you’re in town, it’s a good spot to get your froyo on!

The best froyo in Newport. It’s the only froyo in Newport. It just opened up so it’s just getting started. not enough chairs etc. The flavors and toppings are great but they really need a ‘signature flavor’ I. e beluga whatever. Lobster yogurt? So that people can rave and talk about it or just try it. It’s not inventive but it’s just what Newport needs, I just wish it would do more.
