The Chanler at Cliff Walk

The Chanler Hotel is in a beautiful location right at the beginning of the Cliff Walk in Newport! The hotel overlooks the beach, has a nice lawn on which you can relax and take in the view and sun while drinking cocktails, and its restaurant has delicious food. After working up an appetite on the Cliff Walk, we decided to stop for lunch at the Veranda. The hotel is very nicely decorated and the service at the restaurant is great! Everyone is friendly. The food here is excellent! Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our food– I had the apple and pear pizza and the other dishes we ordered were the GQ burger, fish tacos and lobster mac and cheese. We all tried each other’s food and I have to say, each dish was super tasty! The GQ burger was good but surprisingly not the best dish we ordered (we had heard SO much about this burger we thought it was gonna be crazy good). We also got the carrot cake and bread pudding for dessert– both were great, the carrot cake probably better.
After lunch we ordered a bottle of prosecco and took it outside. We sat out on some chairs overlooking Easton’s Beach and enjoyed the sunshine and company of our good friends. There were many people sitting out on the lawn doing the same.
We had a great experience here and would definitely return!

Absolutely beautiful property! We came here for a quick bite before heading to the beach –the view, the food and service were incredible and swanky! Seriously one of the most beautiful overlooks ever.
The open deck area happened to be closed off for a wedding but the view overlooking the ocean was still gorgeous.
We ordered a lobster roll and tacos with some cocktails. Everything was delicious and fresh. Afterwards we walked the cliff walk and came back for more drinks and the bar tender gave us excellent recommendations and was so friendly. I would love to come back for a special occasion or dinner.

This place is amazing. Luxury, amenities, on site restaurant, bar and service at its finest. All the staff were top notch, very friendly, courteous and helpful and aim to please.
