Yaquina Bay Charters Llc

Had an awesome ½ day trip with Captain Jack and Ann. We did the bottom and crab trip and went out on the Crackerjack.
My wife was getting over the flu so she didn’t get to do much fishing but she was jazzed to see everyone having a great time. There was a little boy (maybe 9) who was slaying it. My wife Ali got a kick out of his little voice hollering «Fish On.»
We got the safety briefing and then Ann (deck hand) finished prepping the 16 crab pots and then we were off. Once outside the protection of the jetty, the water was churning up 8 – 125 foot rollers and people started to turn green, my wife included. She is such a trooper. I’m a fortunate man. The water temp dropped quite significantly which had Capt Jack chasing the school of fish.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day and we had the pleasure of meeting some good people.
When all is said and done I caught 14 Fish with 5 that were keepers. I had a great day and will definitely go for another fishing charter with this outfit.
Capt Jack is a true character and is quite engaging with all the fishermen and offered tips to increase likelihood of boating more fish. Ann was the Deckhand and she has a Super chill vibe about her but is super knowable in her craft. Could be because she is studying oceanography at Humboldt.
