It has been a tough winter in Boston for many small business owners. The folks in this store work hard, have a clean store and a good product. Give them a chance.

WOW. This is the WORST Red Mango I have ever been too. I was in the plaza and my eyes gleamed as I stumbled upon this Red Mango. I’ve been to a few Red Mangoes in other cities that serve great, NOT melty froyo. I went in and bee-lined it to my favorite tart flavors… okay…the way that froyo came out of that dispenser was equivalent to the way you-know-what comes out of you when you’ve eaten something rotten. It freaking exploded into my cup and I was shocked. I was pretty desperate for froyo, and froyo had already exploded into half the bottom of my cup, so I was like, okay, maybe that flavor wasn’t made correctly. WRONG. I tried my luck with the next tart flavor and the same thing happened. Okay, then I went in to put toppings on my cup of basically liquid you-know-what, and there were FLIESINTHETOPPINGSBAR. Yea. I definitely skipped the fruit. On top of all that, I had to pay $ 2 something for the thing and I ate it… I told you I was desperate. ANYWAY, NEVERGOTOTHISLOCATION.

For a small fro yo it can still be expensive it cheaper than orange leaf though at 59 cents an ounce. I got peanut butter and pomegranate it was actually one of the best combination ive had. The store was nice and neat so were the people nice employees really helpful.

I was pretty taken aback by how good their froyo was — froyo chains tend to be hit or miss, as do a lot of self-serve places, but this was definitely leagues better than the rest of the options Newton has. It’s not quite as good as BerryLine, but it is pretty close. I also have to commend them for having a space in between«Red» and«Mango,» because let’s face it, that’s super rare in this industry. I took the pomegranate/original swirl, both flavors of which were really fantastic — tart and sweet and very refreshing. Everything we got from the toppings bar was great — especially their namesake, the mangoes(though they weren’t red), which were perfectly ripe. The atmosphere is really nice to, and doesn’t feel childish like so many of these places do. I mean, at the end of the day, I’ll go anywhere, but I prefer to not feel like I’m intruding on kids’ spaces. They also offer juices, ice teas and coffees. There’s not a ton of place to sit though, and they don’t offer outdoor seating like some of the places nearby do. Overall though, I’m glad to have this as an option so close to me — it’s definitely better than everything else around.
