Food is average as any applebees. I can say though that the cooks have probably messed up my order almost every single time I have ordered! Normally Caesar salad, ribs and chicken are my go to. And i’m OBSESSED with the brownie dessert! BUT Mark is a server in the bar area and WE LOVE HIM! He is amazing, he remembers who we were after just 3 visits (over about 3 week period) has our drinks in about a minute before we tell him! he is a delight! I don’t know how much he is paid but he should be paid more! I wish I could steal him for my own restaurant.

The service was good at this place. The food was alright. The best part of this Applebee’s was that it had an awesome atmosphere as though it was a really hip late night place to be. The set up was fun and enjoyable, along with the furniture arrangement. Really liked the ambiance for that late night hang out.

Great quick service. I came here for apps and drinks on a Thursday night at the bar, service was great. The drink selections were tasty as well as the food. I liked how they have the low calorie option on the menu that was extra points for me. Wish they still had a skinny margarita though. But I did like the live entertainment on a Thursday, he was very good.

Fantastic quick dessert experience. I have previously been to this location prior to it becoming A La Mousse as it was a macroons specialty bakery. This place popped up on Unilocal and I was excited to see what they had to offer. My friends and I only ordered the Sizzling ice cream to share for $ 7.95! we were asked what type of ice cream we wanted– raspberry truffle, matcha or pistachio. We decided to go with raspberry truffle since the dessert itself contained a matcha brownie with matcha sauce drenching the sides. We were delighted by how well the flavors ended up pairing together! Hot guy brought is the dish which was ice cream on top of the brownie with some rice crisps on the side on a hot plate and poured the matcha saucing causing it to sizzle all around! It was a fun and cool experience for that aspect and the dessert was great. Next time will definitely come back and choose from their fairly diverse range of dessert options for the same price!

½ price app menu after 9pm and $ 2 Yuengling from 9−11pm every day
Open to Midnight or later every day, good option for late night eats in Newtown

Dislikes:
Fried green beans were SUPER salty even without any of their sauces
Wings were cooked well but doused in too much sauce; will get sauce on side next time.
Other:
We used the Tablet point of sale terminal to order our apps. It was pretty easy to use and convenient. However, when we pressed «order» the system told us there was an error. We of course tried again and it went through this time. Food comes out and there are 2 each of the apps. The server was apologetic and removed the duplicate from our check but FYI that if there is an issue with the tablet, just ask the server instead of trying to order again since it may have gone through!
Overall, we will probably revisit, only because of the reasonably priced food/​drink and convenience. Visit was what I expected for an Applebee’s.

I remember the uproar when Applebees and another fast food shop were permitted to enter Newtown. It was the beginning of the end to life as we knew it!

Applebees has taken its place as a well utilized restaurant in the Village of Newtown Shopping Center. It follows the national formula and does not deviate beyond the mean. It is busy for lunch, dinner and late night, and fits the need for a modestly priced option among all the high end restos in the area.
I don’t go often, but I am glad it is there. When I do, I stick with the ample fresh salads, and an occasional burger. I sit at the bar when I dine alone, or one of the booths when with family. I have not had a bad experience, nor ever felt it was misplaced here.
Go. Enjoy. Have a good time. This shop is locally owned by The Rose Group, and even if you prefer to avoid chains that expropriate your money out of the community, this particular franchise does not. You can have a clear conscience.

Best Applebee’s I’ve been to. Plus, my girlfriend left her iphone 5 on the table and they placed it in the safe until we picked it up. Awesome service, hot food, good drinks, and overall a better Applebee’s then the rest.

I love this location. It always reminds me of when I was in high school and this was the place to be. A good tip is that you can get any of their salads as a roll up. I always do this with the oriental chicken salad. Just ask. :)

I’ve been going to this Applebee’s since it opened in 2001⁄2002. This restaurant has had its ups and downs. I am pleased with the 2 for $ 20 menu, and am glad it’s changes often. Their food is decent. I like their new honey pepper menu. Also, my favorite «classic» dish is their oriental salad. One of the nice things this Applebee’s does is every once in a while they give out free kids meals!

got a $ 50 giftcard to applebees, so we had to go. save $ 40, go to wendys and get a better meal. If you have a giftcard to spend here, we found out on the way out the door that they had kendall jackson wines for sale, so just go here and drink some decent wine and leave. service was adequate.

Thieves! Do NOT go to this Applebee’s unless you want your credit card stolen. My elderly parents went there and found out a few days later that their credit card number was stolen and charges were being racked up for Apple equipment and other web purchases. This was the first time they used their card in months, so it was obvious that the waitress lifted their card.
They called the manager and he was less than helpful. He said he would look into it and didn’t offer an apology.
Unless you want your credit destroyed, pay with cash at this Applebee’s. Better yet, eat somewhere else… like Isaac Newton’s!

My kids love Applebee’s and we are there once or twice a month… so last night’s disappointment was… well a disappointment… I had the Shrimp and Steak Cheese dinner… and the steak had a lot of gristle which I could put up with… but raw meat that was still cold… not quite what I would call medium rare. Anyway I sent it back (something I haven’t done in many, many years) they stuck it in the microwave and reheated the whole plate… well the steak got cooked but the vegetables got soggy and the shrimp became hard little rocks. But on a brighter note, I was fortunate enough to have the company of a very good friend and lots of good conversation!!! so I still managed to have a good night! Who knows maybe they will read this and not act so cheeseeee next time…
