5⁄17 Update: Alexa called on on Saturday, informed that they’re replacing my lenses and they will call me when it’s done. Not for nothing. The only time I called them, was finding out their store hours and when i first discovered the issue with my glasses. 5⁄13 So I went to pick up my new sunglasses and was really excited. Unfortunately I couldn’t drive with it. I was unable to see my gps and there was some shadow when I refocus my eyes at another object. I contacted the place the next day. They weren’t able to understand what I was trying to describe to them, so asked me to bring the glasses back. Ok I don’t mind it since I do have to bring it no matter what. Alexa was very helpful and understanding, trying to listen to what I was telling her. Until another lady came in and took the sunglasses trying to help. She suggested it was the angle that I’m wearing the glasses and asked if I have try it in the sun… I left the glasses there for their store manager to figure out what’s wrong with it, and they promised they will find the root to this issue since they’re proud of the customer service they provide. I agreed they do sound very nice and promising. I got a call the next day, the store manager with 30 yrs experience believes that it’s the sunglasses frame that is too big and is effecting my vision since I have astigmatism. I can understand that point too. However, they know I have astigmatism When I got the sunglasses, second my current sunglasses is bigger if not the same size as that one. I had to insist and tell them, I really think it’s the issue with double coating the sunglasses on the outside and inside… Or the polarization of the lenses. I live half hour away and It costed me almost 1200 for 2 pairs of designer glasses. I really do not enjoy having someone trying to convince me to get another frame using the same lenses to resolve the issue of me not being able to drive with them and almost hit another car. They’re asking me to go back soon to show them my current pair so they won’t make any mistakes on the new lenses. Again, I live half hour away and I do not get off the train until after 6:30 earliest. If you see a car speeding down 95, that’s me! All I wanted was a birthday present to myself so I can enjoy my vacation that’s coming up in two weeks… Will update later Previous: I went there because of the wide selection of glasses. The service is A+ with Alexa. The price is relatively high. Overall, if you’re willing to pay more this is the place to go.

A glasses store that actually HELPS you select a frame style that compliments your face! Every one of the staff members is exceptionally friendly… more like going into a local establishment where they have known you for years. I HIGHLY recommend getting your glasses here. I am very happy with the service at this glasses galore. I had a pair of expensive Prada glasses purchased from a different glasses galore location. I noticed that the frame had a little crack and called them but they didn’t seem interested to help. Finally the frame broke and it was out of warranty. I gave up. But I happened to go to the Newtown location and I told them what happened. Jason the manager offered to replace them for me at no cost ! I was so happy — you hardly get this kind of customer service anymore. I plan to buy my new prescriptions and sunglasses from them.

Remodeled and very friendly staff. Glasses ready in an hour in most cases. I used to come here all the time but I swayed away to another local store, I will be coming here regularly once again.

I had my eye exam and was fitted for contacts. I purchased contacts w/my vision care insurance. Then purchased new glasses out of pocket. The staff was very kind, helpful, and took all of the time I needed to pick out the right frames to fit both my face and style. The only complaint I have is the prices. I have NEVER spent so much on a pair of glasses before. My frames were on sale so the lenses were absolutely obscene. Other than my wallet being raped. Everyone there showed me a positive experience

I enjoy going there for the personal attention and pleasant staff. i like the small town feel. I had a pair of glasses that needed a minor repair and they fixed it right there. However need a more extensive line especially in sport glasses.

Stay away. I had super poor experiences getting prices on frames on all three occasions that I visited. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but that ultimately resulted in my picking up a pair of brand new frames that were broken in the case… on the day I was leaving for business out of country. Nothing like travel without your glasses! I recommend ‘Design for Vision’ right around the corner and Dr. Schwartz /Dr. Joyce in Newtown.
