Called here on a Monday to order a tomato pie for a party. Person who answered took my order and info, told me I could pick it up Friday. Cut to Friday, I walk in to pick up my pie for a party that night and I’m told, «Sorry, we dont make tomato pies at this location». I asked why the person took my order over the phone and they said «he didnt know». He didnt know? Also, I asked why I never recieved a phone call telling me this, so that I could order elsewhere and the manager lied right to my face and said they tried to call me but «some guy answered and said they had the wrong number» (complete lie, my CELL # was correct on the receipt, and I’m a woman, no man is answering my phone). Needless to say, I was furious… oh, but he did offer me «a couple of free rolls». Free rolls? In place of a tomato pie? Um, no thanks. and no thanks to ever doing business with these aholes again.

Place caught on fire the other day! Pretty sure it was gutted! Not sure if they are going to reopen or not though!

Very fresh and tasty Italian sub. Great bread and generous portion. I would definitely get another one!

Open until 7pm but this deli consistently runs out of bread in the afternoon. Last three times I’ve gone from a sandwich at 5pm I got the same sign: Out of Bread.

WARNING, a sandwich here can send you straight packing to the dentist. I thought the roll I was served was stale. Nope… it is the bread «style» I was told. Hard as a rock is what I call it. I had to take an Advil after eating my mixed cheese hoagie to relieve the jaw pain from gnawing my sandwich apart.
I really wanted to love Sarcone’s. Newtown has limited sandwich shops and delis that have mastered the art of sandwich making. The sandwiches here are creative and seem to be a huge hit with many people I know. So, you can heed my warning or try one for yourself. Just be sure to have your emergency dentist on speed dial.

A good roll will make a hoagie, and that’s good for Sarcone’s because they have the best bread around. Their Sonny sandwich is great, and you can’t go wrong with an Italian. Prices are reasonable and the staff is really nice.
