This is the place to go if you want a delicious sub! Their hot subs are all delicious and I’ve never been disappointed with them. The classic steak hoagy has a special place in my heart but my husband would tell you to get the stinger.

Ever since the new owners took over the food is garbage. Not only did he change the product that he uses for the subs he also decreased the overall size of the subs. They look like a sub you would get for high school lunch I will never ever go there ever again in my entire life garbage

We tried David’s before discovering Viola’s around the corner. There was nothing wrong with David’s. The sandwich was very good, fresh, and filling. But after having discovered their competitor, and only being in the area often enough to have to be selective, David’s became my second choice. A really great place for locals looking to mix things up a bit. But ranks #2 in my book if you’re swinging through town and want to make just one stop.

Disappointed… steak n cheese is no big deal, and who charges 50 extra for LETTUCE! LOL!!! My husband ordered a Super Royal and I got a steak/cheese with 2 cokes.30 dollars is a bit over priced.

I used to be a big fan of David’s for over 15 years and now I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Last month I ordered a hoagy to go and once I got home it tasted terrible and was disappointed at the portions. I first chalked it up to maybe an off night. I went there tonight to dine in, took one bite and walked it back to the counter. Only 1 small slice of steak em meat and the rest of bun had only mushrooms. I took it right to the counter and asked for my money back. 10.00 for a sub and this was highway robbery. The woman in charge claims that is the way it has been since the new owners took over, advised then they won’t be open for long this way. Even subway measures their meat and gives you 3 times the amount for 7.00. Night manager did nothing but state that is the way it is. So I gave them their food right back and will never be back. If the steak hoagy is their flagship sub… I feel sorry for who orders anything else. It is what made them famous and sad to see it now sinks them.

This location has easy access, parking, and convenience. The place is really well lit, very clean, and there was a variety of seating available. The service was great with really friendly people, and the food was served quickly. The main issue is the food itself. While it was not bad, it wasn’t great, and it was really expensive. Two«full» sandwiches and two waters came out to just under $ 24, with not even a single chip, pickle or anything else offered on the side. However, the steak and cheese sub, like many other people noted, wasn’t really full, but ended a couple inches early on each end and not too puffy in the middle either. The taste of the food wasn’t bad at all, but again, it wasn’t amazing or noteworthy. On the bright side, the bread was good and was toasted perfectly. This place isn’t bad by any means, and has a lot of good things going for it. If you’re looking for either a filling or a really delicious sub at a good value you will want to look elsewhere though, sadly.

Ordered food from here yesterday and used the menu from THEIR website to order. I got charged more than what the online menu said because they don’t update the prices on there when they made the change to the print menu which I didn’t have until they delivered my food. The taco sub was delicious and I highly recommend. I also ordered fries which cost a bit over $ 2 and only got a baby portion. I think it was a ripoff all around and being charged for extra veggies. I used a coupon so I guess they had to make sure they squeezed every dime from me. YOUNEEDTOUPDATETHEPRICESONYOURWEBSITE!

Very tasty steak hoagy, got mine with onions pepper mushroom, mayo. The price was not bad. The bun was very good, hoagie was unbaked but that didn’t take anything away from it. The portion size was a little lacking, the bun was long but not thick, think original buns subway used to use. So do yourself a favor and get a whole. Didn’t want to stop eating it.

I go to David’s for one thing. Their steak hoagie. Have been doing it for years. My boys love them! Can’t speak to anything else on the menu, but the steak hoagies are great!

Yowza. Décor is brutal with plenty of wasted space on top of that. I got the steak hoagie. If this were the true home of the steak hoagie as they claim, you wouldn’t know what a steak hoagie is. It was completely tasteless and had plenty of unchewable fatty pieces I had to pull out of my mouth as well as a few hard pieces of bone that I’m surprised I didn’t crack my teeth on. I would never step in this place again. If you’re looking for a real steak hoagie head to violas just around the corner.

I saw prior reviews and they were pretty old and pretty bad, but I thought I’d give them a shot. another mistake in my life. to many good places to go to than to ever stop here again… BOO :)

First time here and had the pizza. Crust is on the doughy side. Sauce is VERY plain no depth of spices or flavor making you want to ask for more. The cheese is nice and stringy though. The place is HUUUGEA with 20′ high ceilings, billboard-sized windows and an enormous waiting area. The floors and corners are clean, however a Formica utensil and napkin cabinet should be relocated to the dumpster. Decorations consisted of umm, well, o’heck there aren’t any. The staff was VERY pleasant and accommodating, and easily allowed modifications to my pie(extra sauce, light cheese and extra cooked. Will I come back for pizza? Likely only if Franco’s is closed.

+ decent wings — pizza slices were burnt, so-so steak hoagy, ugly uncomfortable yellow bench tables I’ve gone here a few times, the last being a week ago. Since they moved to this other location, it’s more open, but the décor is old school with ugly yellow hard bench tables for skinny people, they really need to get rid of those. Not many people sit in those things. Thankfully they have 3 – 4 square tables with chairs that everyone seems to sit at. We ordered two steak hoagies and mild wings. We were going to order pizza slices too but the ones sitting under the heat lamps had their pepperoni burnt really black – no thanks. Wings were crispy and good with just a bit of sauce, just the way we like them. The steak hoagies were«okay». There should have been much more steak on them. It looked like just a single layer of steak-umms. Nothing special. For a place that seems to be proud of their steak hoagie, they really need to improve on it.

Stopped in one day for a quick lunch as we where heading back to Buffalo. We had the traditional chicken finger sub. David’s was nice enough to split it in half and put on two different plates for us. The menu isn’t huge but does have a good variety. The restaurant has moved into the plaza that Media Play used to be in, so there is more booth seating. It’s not worth making a special trip — but if your hungry — not a bad place to eat.

I got a half stinger sub for lunch today. It was OK. Not fantastic, not bad. Would I come back? Mmmm, not sure. With Duff’s opening up across the street and so many other options nearby, David’s really needs to impress and on my first visit it didn’t. But it is a solid A-OK so you should feel confident giving it a try.

Was told by a friend of mine that the Steak Hoagy here was just amazing, much better then Jim’s Steak Out… Remind me to smack my friend… This Hoagy was anything but great. There isn’t enough meat to fill the roll, both ends had 1 ½ inches of just bread. I told him i had been here 15 years ago and thought it was bad, 15 years later possibly worse… Don’t waste your time, I never will again… You want a great Steak Hoagy one so big you can can hardly put it in your mouth? Loaded with steak onions cheese and whatever else you want??? Dont come here!

Not sure what people are yapping about, the food here is off the hook. I had my doubts due to the low ratings, but my friend insisted that the steak hoagy is the best I’ll ever have. I didn’t believe him until I took the first bite. Holy mole! The combination of mushrooms, banana peppers, onions, cheese and steak! Delicious! I had mine with oil and he had his with mayo, they were both equally wonderful although the creaminess of the mayo made his sandwich 10X more amazing. There was plenty of meat and fixings. The bread was fresh, soft and chewy. They had lots of other yummy things on the menu like pizza, wings and fried goodies like pizza fingers(they looked really good and I wish I had ordered some). Maybe next time. They only down side, it seemed to take forever for our sandwiches to be made. I suggest calling in but heck, good stuff takes a bit longer to make. It’s not like you’re going to Subway, for crying out loud, You’re getting the best hoagie ever!

Yea, um, right. Somehow we got lost and ended up here. Use your Unilocal app and wind up somewhere better. Or get take out. My steak hoagy wasn’t bad. It wasn’t. I just felt like there could have been something else I could have spent my money on and enjoyed it that much more. My GF ordered tacos and got a burrito. We could have complained, but were looking to eat and run.

Taste wise — the steak hoagy was good. The bread was also much better than Subways. But, the employee sitting in the kitchen in full view of the customers eating and licking his fingers was a turn off. Also, the amount of food you got for the price($ 8.50 including tax) wasn’t great. A full size hoagy should be stuffed from end to end. The ends were mostly bread.

Wow. Now this place is pure funny. I ordered a chef salad one night and what I received was lettuce, soggy tomatoes, olives, and slices of pickle. WTF!!! Was the chef on vacation. That was my dinner because I didn’t feel like ordering again… yum…and yes I am being sarcastic. The bf ordered a nasty ass steak and cheese with extra cheese and meat. Well he said it was good but looking at it made me wanna schedule an angioplasty for him.
