I used to think about getting back into shape… Had the chicken shawarma, and realized that, to the contrary, I was destined to be many pounds heavier. Hahaha. That cream chicken chop is flame. And, the hummus could bring about world piece. The baked goods are fantastic too. Couldn’t be staffed by nicer folks, unless they were handing out winning lottery numbers. Was thinking about changing my life… Now, I’m thinking, I could probably trade my goals and aspirations for another Kefta Kabab from this place. Hahaha.

I got take out from this location because the ratings were so high on Unilocal, but I have to say I was less than impressed. I got a combination platter and it was very impressive to look at, full of meat and rice and I think the chicken items in the platter were very good. The beef items were not very tasty at all. There was minimal flavor, and they were cooked too well so were dry and the rice was pretty bland as well. The sauces that were given on the side had spices that I was not used to like oregano and the hot sauce was not very hot. The store was very small but the service was very nice and helpful in picking out items. I do not agree that this place is better than Pita Inn, I think for chicken meals it could be decent but the red meat was less than appealing.

An absolute gem. Unbelievable food and unbelievable prices. I got a platter for 10 people, enough to feed 15 people for only 72 dollars. The food is super clean and authentic Arabic. Literally tastes like home

In love with this place since the first bit! The Good: Zabiha halal meat, affordable prices, and delicious entrees! I have catered from here twice and they have always always been so understanding of any adjustments to the orders without over charging. The owner is a sweetheart! I have ordered their group platters on more than one occasion– the food is plentiful, fresh, and flavorful(where areas Pita Inn can be dry and bland in contrast). Their One Person Combo Platter is a great value for the amount of food and variety you get. My husband and I share this one platter between the both of us and always have full stomachs after. The Bad: They close early on weekends. With longer hours I feel as if they would be able to get more of the late night crowd(including myself). Best for carry-out as the restaurant itself is small with only a few tables for a quick dine-in meal. The Ugly: Fighting with the husband to see who gets the last bite!

I came in alone on a cold, sna-ing day(simultaneously snowing and raining). I was hoping the food would be good. It wasn’t. Got the combo plate. Ugh. The meat was dry. The rice was not fresh. The price was too high. So disappointing.

Every time we order from detroit kabob it’s always amazing. It’s authentic middle eastern food that’s cooked fresh and the customer service is great.

Excellent food with fresh ingredients. Not actually a restaurant… More of a mid-eastern version of a «taco joint» with a few tables and a counter. But the food is awesome.

Great food here! Falafel sandwich or chicken schwarma is my «go to». Very nice people own this place. They do corporate catering too!

Drove past this place a million times. Was always intrigued by the shout out to Detroit. Pros: Felafal sandwich, pickled vegetables, combo for 1 Cons: Parking might be a little tight Different than pita inn. I’m not sure if it’s because whatever area they are from or if one of them is more Americanized. All I know is flavor is great here. Falafel sandwich comes like a grilled burrito with lots of bonus vegetables. The chicken shwarma is moist and flavorful. Definitely going to try some other items that I have no clue about. Check out their menu and those mystery breads on the counter.

Friendly service at counter and good middle eastern food. I enjoyed the combo plate and chicken shawarma sandwich I had. Good option to mix it up with less of a wait than Pita Inn down the street.

Came in and tried a couple of the lahmajoons. There was Assyrian and Armenian. Armenian is thin and the toppings more fine, and the Assyrian the opposite. I liked the food combo options and will come back for a full meal at a later time. The owners are related to the people that own Arax’s, but are much nicer.

A good meal – but I have to say schawarma inn is so much better in taste and freshness. the pita was cold and kind of stale. The girl working in the front was friendly and helpful when we had questions. But one of the guys looked like he didn’t really care about anyone sitting there. Overall, the space is small with about 4 tables. Seems a lot of people order and pick up from here. When we went at lunch time there was only two businessmen eating besides me and hubby. 4 stars because it was good food, not excellent.

We usually order the abundant combination trays for take-out when having people over for dinner. We just ordered the combo tray for 5 and 6 people enjoyed the delicious selection of different foods…& there’s leftovers for another meal. This tray is a good introduction to middle eastern food to people who’ve never eaten it. That’s why I enjoy serving it. plus it’s good! You really won’t be disappointed

I tried the beef Kebab and it was so good, the chicken one is not that good. Rice is awesome, shawerma is good too. Would eat her everyday if it was close to where I live(4 hours).

This place is great for authentic middle eastern food on a budget. From Monday — Friday they have a lunch special until 2pm I think That’s cheap and has a little bit of everything in it! And the hummus is great!

Great location for the homemade taste of Assyrian/Iraqi food. I could take my(Middle Eastern), mother here for a meal and walk out with little complaint. The location itself is best for carry out or single dining, but it doesn’t feel congested inside and the owners are very polite. Their chicken dishes are always flavorful and juicy, and I never forget to grab a generous pack of their lah’majoun every visit. I would definitely recommend not passing it up!

A little meditterranean grill and bakery. The food is very good and the bakery is excellent. I come to this place when I’m driving in milwaukee. I love their Armenian lahem ajun spicy and full of flavor. This place is attached to arax foods and I believe they are both related. The dining area is very small and the place is a to go spot. Service is excellent ! Very friendly family business. I will be back and will tell everybody about his good restaurant.
