BYOB Delicious, affordable, good quantities and good prices. Dinner entrees come with soup and salad. Sandwiches are $ 5. I wish they had stuffed grape leaves. Good service — nice people.

The food here can be exceptional, but its highly inconsistent. When they first opened I got it, and thought it was meh. Then I gave it another shot last November(take out), and it was awesome! Exceptional hummus, good meats, etc! I was in-love! I got it three more times in December. However I ordered it tonight again, and everything had changed. The meat was fatty and terribly overcooked, the rice was under-cooked, and the hummus tasted more like spiced soup. We threw it out and made a frozen pizza. It’s a real pity. I’m not going to waste another $ 35 on more shots in the dark. Back to driving to Pita Inn in Niles for me when I crave Middle eastern.

Have been to their city location many times and the Park Ridge location did not disappoint. Very fresh and tasty middle eastern food at a reasonable price. Great Tabouleh!

Only have had carry-outs from this place, but their Chicken Shawarma plate is delicious and generous. I like that they use the lighter lafa bread(more like Indian nan bread) instead of the heavy pita. Hummus is fresh and tasty. Lunch prices are very reasonable and food was delivered quickly. I’ll definitely be enjoying more from Shawarma Inn in the future!

Large seating area. We actually split a combo platter; the meats were delicious. The beef was cut into 1 inch by quarter-inch slivers; the chicken was big chunks; and beef roll was fantastic. The rice is super soggy. Our server was new and very soft-spoken. It was uncomfortable There are 3 sauces: tahini, green, chili paste. I love that green butter sauce! Random: I was upset that an older couple brought in their own wine.

Made a visit to Shawarma Inn the other day for lunch. We had the hummus and falafel sandwiches. The food was good overall. This place uses more of the lafa bread instead of pita bread, so that was a bit less than I had hoped for. I love the heartier pita bread moreso than this thinner style. The falafels themselves were good. The hummus was also decent. The restaurant itself is pretty big. We went at 2pm, so it was pretty quiet. We did see a bit of takeaway traffic coming through. The service was also good — between a couple of waitresses, they had us covered. Overall decent lunch. I would go here again if I was in the area.

Too bad I lived n California and we wouldn’t be able to try this place again until we go back to Illinois ;(I’m the one who suggested this place and I’m glad my friends loooved it too! What makes this place really cool is one of the owner’s nephew offered us a ride back to the train station. Not only they offered good food but really good customer service as well.(I forgot his name though, oops!) Thank you Shawarma Inn. Unilocalers please give this place a try :)

Yummy! Portion sizes are plenty for left over for the next day! We always order extra pita to along with the beef shawarma and the combination entrée. It is a go to spot when we are struggling to figure out whats for dinner!

I live within walking distance of Shawarma Inn so simply out of convenience I’ve visited more times than I would’ve liked. Prices are fair and probably cheaper than similar places. It’s clean, service is quick, and dining area is moderately sized though outdated. The food is where it falls short for me. I’ve ordered a variety of things off the menu and each one is mehh. I’ve never hated what I got but I’ve never loved it either.

You know how some people say stuff like«I could eat pizza every day…» or «I could eat sushi and chipotle every day…» etc. Well I can honestly say I can eat Shawarma Inn every… single… day! Everyday if I could. My waist line would hate me but the rice and garlic tahini sauce is so worth it. I have to admit I’ve only ever ordered the Combination plate from here, however I vary from choosing the chicken kebabs to the beef ones depending on mood– I know, its wild. What’s great about the combo is you pretty much get a little of every meat. The entrees also come with soup(I recommend lentil) and salad and very affordable — under $ 15. Portions are huge and 9 out of 10 times I usually have left overs for lunch. This place has been here for a year or two now and I am very happy to have such delicious middle eastern cuisine so close to my neighborhood. I am getting hungry now after looking at photos. ALLDAYEVERYDAY!!!

Huge portions & even upon arrival of our delivery it was piping hot! Oh my gosh this was so tasty. Would eat here again if I’m back in town. Try it, you won’t be disappointed. Huge pieces of pita bread and the hummus is smooth and amazing.

I’ll list the pros and cons of this restaurant in the order of my experience. Pro: 2 hours of free parking in front of the building. Pro or con depending on the customer: Choose where you want to sit(I preferred this) Pro: Cute table cloths, clean glasses and utensils and delicious, clear water. I have issues with water that tastes and smells chlorinated. This water was clean. Pro and con: Bathroom smelled freshly cleaned but heavily bleached. Two stalls with only one operating. The other had a note to hold down the handle to flush properly so there is clearly a plumbing problem. There was a ton of food at my table when I returned from washing my hands. The hummus was literally the best I’ve ever tasted. There were small chunks of fresh tomato in the middle which I loved as well as the spices(maybe paprika). There was an ample amount of pita bread, it was thin, tasty and fresh. There was a salad with oil and vinegar and a lemon wedge(I love a lemon with my salad). My hot lentil soup was waiting for me too. It was mostly delicious except for the iceberg salad. My entrée was absolutely out of this world delicious! The shrimp came with the most delicious garlic and herb sauce and the rice was perfection. The only beef I have about this is that the menu said 8 shrimp and I received 6. Dang! I really wanted the other two. This is part of the 4 stars rating. They could also do a better jobs with refilling drinks. My tea was delicious and strong and I wanted more to wash down my meal but I had to flag her down to get it. I will most certainly return and ask about how many shrimp my meal comes with.

What a hidden little gem. Feeling like something a bit different we opted to try this place. We ordered a number of things and got SO much food! And it was delicious. We got the combination plate and took a taste of all the sauces too. Everything was delightful. Best value was the chicken wrap. It was huge. We will be back to this one!

This is what makes Unilocal so awesome. There is a real chance that you’re going to have an awesome, unexpected experience. I’d have never found this place on my own, but I’m so glad I came in. Huge portions of delicate meat, soft rice, and wonderful bread await you here. Every aspect of the meal is flavorful and satisfying. I went with the chicken kabob, which included at least a half pound of rice and probably three quarters of a pound of chicken. Both were absolutely wonderful! On top of all this they have a terrific salad, white bean soup, and some wonderful wonderful hommous. The service is attentive and very friendly. On top of all this I got out the door for less than $ 15. Highly recommended, hope to come back someday.

Wonderful service. Delicious shawarma. What more could you want? Make sure to ask for their cucumber sauce. It makes the chicken shawarma sandwich absolute perfection.

This is decent place for Middle Eastern fare. You get a lot here for the dollar — the $ 12 combination entrée(beef shawarma, kefta kabob, and chicken kabob) was very generous and came with a salad and lentil soup. The latter two items were pretty ordinary and brought the overall rating down a bit though. The rest was quite good and tasty, but also not quite 5 star fresh on this day(a place like Naf Naf consistently sets the bar I would say). They have a roomy dining room and have been open here for about 8 months.

I am so happy this location opened! Though I would glad travel further to eat here. Even though they forgot to out include enough bread with my hummus the 5 star review is still rock solid. Service is friendly and the restaurant is an upgrade from their other location(which looks a bit like muffler repair meets taxi dispatch turned restaurant). EVERYTHING is great here, you can just close your eyes, point at a menu item and walk away happy. Ask for extra sauces to make you even happier. Order the lentil soup, you will be SO happy! The beef shrwarma combination is tops! Highly Approved!
