It’s been a year since I’ve visited for my annual eye exam but I remember how great the service has been so I’ve been going there for 2 years already… they helped me as soon as i entered store and the doctors were very good by explaining my results thoroughly. the only reason I can’t go back this year is because is out-of-network for my vision insurance…

I got a pair of prescription eyeglasses here and the whole process from start to finish was easy. When I was here — the staff was busy — just because they’re not by a customer’s side does not mean they are ignoring you. From picking frames, to dealing with my insurance and explaining everything in between, I thought the staff helping me was professional and friendly. I’ve never had eyeglasses before — this was my first pair ever and this was the first place I went to and didn’t see any reason to «shop around”/go anywhere else.

Terrible service. Had an appointment scheduled and was«in-between 4 patients.» Employees do not acknowledge your presence. We were standing at the front desk and an employee came over and said nothing to us. Not a «hi,» or «I’ll be with you in a second.» Nothing. Terrible. Service.

Horrible, horrible store. If there was a «no star» option, I would give that. I walked in with my dad and brother(we’re Filipino, this will come in handy later) to a store with 4 employees and only one was helping out a customer. We were there for around 10 minutes looking at glasses, not once did anyone ask us if we needed help. As soon as a couple of Caucasian-looking decent walks in, an employee walks right up to them to help. We were in plain sight and I know that the workers saw us. We have been to other LensCrafters, like the Old Orchard one and they have incredible service and give you their full attention. I would recommend going their instead of here. Never coming back to this store again.

I ordered progressive glasses in the Niles store, but had trouble making both the reading and the distance working. Before placing the order, every staff promised me the best service and the 90 days warranty. After received the glasses, I found the reading portion didn’t focus well. Went to the store, the staff adjusted the nose pads and told me it would take a while to for my eyes to adapt the changes, which made sense. Weeks later, I found the distance became a problem. Visited the store again, the staff adjusted the legs. The distance got improved while the reading turned back to blur like before. I went back several time, the they simply weren’t able to get to the point with both parts working as expected. When questioning the prescription, the measurement or how the lenses were cut, they became very defensive, kept on saying they devices were designed in the advanced technologies, and they never wanted to double check the prescription. I go to biz trips constantly and really didn’t have much time keep on visiting the shop! I have ordered progressive from different optical stores for more then ten years. This LensCrafters store turns out to be the only one that doesn’t have the ability to make good glasses. If you want to buy a single vision, I guess it’s ok. But if you need a pair of progressive, this is not the right store for you, as they simply doesn’t have the ability!

Was very happy to be able to walk in at 2:15 on a sunday afternoon and get a 3:00 appointment. The doctor and staff were very thorough, diagnosed an astigmatism I have never had before, and was able to get my glasses that day. I used to be an optician and two faults with the staff during my visit: First, don’t ever clean lenses with KLEENEX. What are you thinking? I was not given a microfiber cloth in my case either. and secondly you cannot adjust glasses before lenses are cut and put in. Staff did this. lol really useless guys. Happy with my glasses I got. Wish staff wasn’t so dumb.

This rating is really for Dr. Mary Jacobson. I’ve been seeing her for years, she’s a great optometrist!

I loved the modern horn-rimmed frame I got here. The people were nice, attentive and professional, but they just didn’t hit the mark at getting me a usable pair of graduated bifocals. While they worked for distance very well, I just couldn’t use them in front my my computer screens. This after an eye exam, re-exam, and 2 reworkings of my lenses. My old pair(from my Ophthalmologist) worked well at all distances, so it wasn’t something that wasn’t possible. The quality of the lens build, also wasn’t very good. When I held them up to the light, I could see machine markings, and the anti-reflective lens coating appeared to be rubbing off after only 1 month of sporadic wear. One very big PRO: They refunded my money for the eye glasses, with no questions asked. I still had to pay for the eye exam, of course, but I liked the no-hassle money back guarantee. It might take longer to get them made, but I’m going back to my Ophthalmologist for my next pair for sure!

As of August 2011, this LensCrafters is undergoing major construction, but still open for business. The service here is less than OK. There aren’t enough employees working at this place, so the wait is longer than acceptable. My sister needed to come in to have her glasses adjusted-a simple task-but we had to wait quite a bit for assistance. I’d try to go to a different one if you’re a walk-in customer who needs your glasses adjusted. Once someone attends to you, the quality of the service is great and the employees are very knowledgable of what they’re doing.
