What a horrible experience! I am going on three days without a refrigerator. I was promised a delivery this past Saturday and I never received the fridge or a call from Sears. I have been trying for the past two days to try to get a hold of someone at the warehouse, but the offshore team keeps saying they only can contact the warehouse by email. I will not recommend Sears and I will be informing my family and friends to never make any purchases at a Sears store. No wonder the company is falling apart. I wish I could give no stars!!!
It gets even better, I waited the 24 to 48 hours for someone to contact me about my order. Now I am being told that I have to wait 3 to 5 business days for an investigation on my order. WOW!!!
I have been contacted by Matt who is a District Manager and Tyler the store manager in McHenry. These two individuals took ownership of my situation and ran with it. I am pleased to say I have received my fridge in the condition that was promised to me.

Let me start by saying that I’m a homer.
I really try to support Chicago companies and buy US products when I can.
So it hurts to write a bad review of Sears.
I bought I riding mower and it was delivered with just the keys.
No manual or paperwork.
All I wanted was a manual.
Not to much to ask given that I just spent over $ 2,000 on a mower.
I was transferred or given the run around over 10x.
I was even told that they don’t make manuals for any riding mowers anymore.
Funny they would say that when they actually gave me the wrong manual.
From a liability standpoint… I have no idea how to operate a dangerous piece of equipment like this .
I was given no safety instructions
I’m not even sure what gas to put in.
Yes, I could go online but have fun finding the manual.
Should I have to go online?
I like having a manual. Is that too much to ask?

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS OUTLET!!! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Bought a stove they delivered it and installed it smelled gas all night thought it was from the install got up the next morning and the gas was VERY strong had to evacuate my home and call gas company gas was turned off house aired out called back for the stove to be removed was told they would pick up on Saturday didn’t come till Tuesday stove didn’t get back to the store till Thursday called Thursday to make sure stove was her so they would start the process to return my money manager was very rude wouldn’t come to the phone each day I called she kept telling the associates to tell me the refund was processed but come to find out it never was so I called Sears home office and filed a complaint I was told they never put in the system that the stove had been delivered to me or returned to the store wow lucky me so the home office stayed on the line with me while the outlet store updated the computer to process my return and money. I bought the stove 12÷2÷15 delivered 12÷8÷15 returned 12÷15÷15 returned by delivery guys 12÷17÷15 and I’m still waiting for my money to be returned NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY FROM SEARS OUTLET THEY ARE A DISGRACE MANAGER AND ASSOICATES ARE VERY VERY VERY RUDE .I will buy new from now on DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING

Don’t use them, I bought a stove there and it was set up for propane gas. Since it was for a rehab I just had it dropped off, so when my contractor went to set it up it didn’t work, they did take it back but what a hassle and they did have it marked as natural gas. And it was a hassle, I had to call a service person out first to find out what was wrong with it, by then my tenants were in. Apparently they bought it from Best Buy, found a tag inside of it, the repair person ran the serial # and they said it was a defective return to Best Buy, I guess they unload the stuff.
What made it worse was the overall way they didn’t believe me that it wasn’t working right, as you can hook it up, but the pressure is wrong, so there was almost no flame.

Useless customer service.
Great prices but maybe not worth the massive hassle of dealing with the people.
EDIT: It got worse! A second install appointment was made for a laundry unit, after they messed up the first appointment, and the delivery guys didn’t even call or ring the bell. Sears continues to blame the delivery company and makes me call them. So far I’ve missed and entire day of work because they didn’t want to ring my doorbell. I’m livid.
Please please, give your business to someone else.

I hate that my first review is a negative but this place messed up big time. Didn’t enter delivery into computer, then when asked for manager was put on hold for 15 minutes and the manager was yelling over me. Then, when I agreed to a new delivery with a waived fee… The drivers didn’t come during the specified time. Only saving grace was my refund was returned right away. For $ 60 more I got similar washer brand new from big box store. BEWARE

Awful experience, two younger associates with inexcusably poor customer service. Also older, «manager-​type» that was talking incredibly loudly about their terrible delivery service. Jackass #1 greeted me when I was checking out, dropped my merchandise on the floor, said «shit, shit, shit» to himself, jammed all my things in a bag, forgot to give me a receipt. I was so desperate to leave, I didn’t bother going back for it. Store is unkempt, dirty if you will, we will never return. It’s very obvious the sales associates are not required to care even remotely. Good prices, I guess, but worth spending a few extra bucks elsewhere.

We ordered a refrigerator and a microwave for our new office. It was originally scheduled to be delivered on Monday. Monday afternoon we called as it never showed up and we found out there are no deliveries on Monday. Completely unacceptable since we don’t know the delivery schedule, but we reschedule for Thursday. We have someone at our office on Thursday night until 7:30 as they say it will arrive between 4 – 7. By 7 we are on the phone and are advised there is no way to get ahold of the driver or estimate a delivery time. At this point this is completely ridiculous as someone is at our office 2 ½ hours after closing and 30 mins past the time we were told they would be here. After being told there is no way to get ahold of the driver (which by the way is a downright lie) we are told we have to wait until NEXT WEEK for a delivery that is already 3 days past due. The delivery guy calls us at 8:30 saying that he has arrived. 1 ½ hours AFTER delivery time. And he also said that Sears has his number. This has been the worst customer service I have ever seen and the delivery is a flat out joke. To top it off you lie to customers when you are in the wrong and then make them wait another week to get their merchandise. This isn’t a small purchase and when I set up a delivery time/​day and I am there waiting I expect it to be there within those times. The management staff/​phone staff did not help at all and only made excuses as to why it wasn’t here instead of fixing the problem. Now we will have to have someone else wait a 3^rd time for a delivery that may or may not show up at all. UNACCEPTABLE!

What a terrible store the punk kid who was helping me was on his phone texting the whole time and talking to his friend in the store was supposed to get my washer Saturday between 930‑1230 never came called the store to see why it didn’t come and got hung up on 5 times then I was told it was going to come between 430 – 730 now it’s Sunday and I still don’t have it the manager Duska (probably didn’t spell that right) was super rude and told me that the delivery people came Saturday but no one was home lies took the day off to be home now I have to take Tuesday off and hope it comes Tuesday what a horrible experience no wonder Sears needed K-​Mart to bail them out

Oh my god how disgusting. Went to pick out a mattress and it was stained a dark red/​brown. The floor was disgusting. Never going back.

Clearly you only go here for great deals on damaged or refurbished items. We failed to check reviews before going when we just needed a refrigerator for a rental unit in our building. We shopped the store looking for deals and no one really bothered to see if we needed any help, when we finally decided what we wanted we had to chase someone down, of course the lady marking items down could not help us with our purchase, she had to get someone else. We waited until some high school aged guy came to see if we had any questions, and he was quick to get us rang up and was very helpful arranging delivery for Saturday on short notice. Overall not bad until today Saturday. We were told we would get a call the night before for our delivery window, which we did get for a time between 3:30 — 6:30. We gave them two phone numbers and asked that they call when they arrive so we could either let them in to our tenants unit or have the tenant let them in. So at 6pm we get a call from the store saying that they have to reschedule because no one was home when the delivery crew arrived at 4pm. I called the store and spoke with Dillian who said yea they were there and took pictures to vouch for them being there. They said no one answered the door so we won’t be able to deliver it til next Thursday. So why didn’t they call when they were here and he said they don’t do that, you just have to be there or they won’t deliver your items. Dillian defiantly needs some customer service classes and it seems ridiculous they can’t call while they are here when it seems logical that if no ones answering the door that the delivery crew call the numbers taped to the front of the refrigerator!!! We normally use Lowes or Home Depot when we buy appliances, we defiantly will not use this store again simple for the lack of customer service and less than acceptable delivery service. Sometimes a deal is not worth the Added headache. We should have known when the sales person said they have problems with the delivery crews at all of their stores. So now my tenants have no fridge and I paid $ 82 for delivery on A Saturday, normally $ 72, so now we will fight with them to refund our delivery fee and run around trying to get someone to delivery the fridge who was some brains and common sense before next. Thursday, because they only deliver on Saturday Tuesday and Thursdays, which again sounds stupid policy. Sears, Home Depot and Lowes all deliver 7 day a week. Not worth the hassle!

Not to be confused with a regular Sears store like the one across the street at Golf Mill Mall. So, Chris A.‘s review kind of doesn’t make sense to me since this store has clearance clothing and absolutely no Men’s department. Most clothes are for Women and some for children and they are priced in some cases up to 90% off!
Sears Outlet carries few never been used, lightly used, refurbished, floor models, etc models of appliances, home goods, vacuums, lawn equipment, lawn furniture, home appliances, small electronics, air conditioners, mattresses and still so much more. All of which are priced up to 70% off. This works well for small electronics or big ticket purchases. If you were in the market for a riding lawn mower, expensive workout equipment or appliances this would be a decent stop on your shopping expedition. I saw an elliptical which was originally $ 2,000 selling for $ 999.98. I found a couple very nice «SUBZ» that’s subzero refrigerators selling for very low pricing. Some of their pricing makes absolutely no sense. For example; take 17 — 18 cubic foot refrigerators. According to the sticker the original price is $ 699.99 which was taken down to $ 599.99 and now reduced to $ 429 and some change. I can tell you for a fact that some of these brands sell at other retailers for ALOT less money. ABT electronics in Glenview and Home Depot would offer more competitive pricing on these same purchases. The biggest kick in the nuts is that of the delivery charge because that’s where the savings are lost. In most cases delivery is $ 60 dollars and if its a weekend delivery the cost is an additional $ 10 dollars. Now, if you have your own delivery service, well. then the pricing could be very good for you. If finding your own methods, I wouldn’t pay more than, about $ 30 dollars depending on the delivery area.
Service in here is bleak. Some of the sales guys are so fucking nonchalant with their attitude when speaking with potential sales. On occasion I’ve left without purchase because dude was milking a potential bigger sale which didn’t culminate. Even if there is one cashier on duty and it could take a little longer to work a bigger sale, handle the sales already at the damn register. If a person has a big order, they would still be willing to wait if asked politely. Now this experience is not true of all locations. Previously there was a location in the far North Burbs and if ever this situation presented itself, the associate would handle sales at the register first and then answer product questions.

Decent clothes, good prices, the clerk was a dick though, and as rude as can be. I understand not the greatest job, but dude the economy sucks and at least your working. He ripped the money out of my hands, and slammed down the receipt. I was going to complain, but I really didn’t care enough to bother. I worked retail for years, so I understand it sucks but really dude get over yourself. With that attitude, your lucky you have a job at all – indian cashier in men’s department probably about nineteen years old-6:45 09/​05/​2012.

It gets crazy in the evening, but definitely go during the day if you’re off from work!

It’s got a bunch of clothes and big appliances like fridges, dishwashers, and dryers. Their tool and electronics selection is small or nonexistent.
