TCF Bank

cd warning !!
when your cd comes up for renewal you will get warning letter and a number to call for the interest rate (in the 7 day window)
buutttttttttt
you will not get a note confirming renewal, worst of all you will never get a piec ce of paper from them confirming the interest rate

The dumbest bank I’ve ever dealt with! I went to cash a TCF check and she kept questioning the check when everything on the check clearly was legit. They need to be retrained! Horrible bank

I really don’t know how appropriate it is to give names in reviews. I don’t want people stalking this branch supervisor. But her name is Huma and she’s incredible.
After MONTHS of chasing around to TCF branches and talking to their customer service she FINALLY knew what the HELL she was doing (UNLIKE ANYONE ELSE THAT WORKS AT ANY OTHER TCF BANK !) and she was able to help me work through the most nightmarish situation imaginable with the bank. I pray to God I never have to deal with this again. I’ll be writing a tremendously long review on the Skokie Bvld. TCF (the nightmare began here) soon, but it’s so emotionally exhausting to think about right now I can’t bear to type it all out.
So look out for that review.
The point is that if you MUST use TCF as your bank checking/​savings account, come here. They’re the closest thing to a competent branch they have.
Oh and feel free to mess with the middle eastern kid whose lazy as hell haha. He’s a cool guy, just majorly whiny and lazy.
