My Child’s Room

This is by far the most shady store in all the land, dealing with dirty stolen… baby furniture!
As I am sure you’ve read in previous reviews, these people are crooks. Not in that nifty and fashionable Soprano’s way either.
When they were open, they would charge outrageous prices for the same quality furniture that could be found across the street at Babies R Us, or even. yes. Walmart!
If you purchased, you would need to order it from the warehouse, where your order would be inevitably lost or. «fallen off the truck». You were fated to be much like that Wiley E Coyote you probably watched growing up. Chasing that Road Runner until you ran out of steam, time, and resources. you would never ever catch him.
If you paid cash or check, you were pretty much boned to never see that money ever again.
That outta teach you parents to co-​sleep!
Now here is the curious thing. About sometime in July, after months of «we’re going through an inventory adjustment» sign plastered on their window with locked doors, and no employees in site. They opened.
They sent out the call through the radio. Bank had seized control, and so they were going out of business. Sale was only supposed to last a couple of days, but over 6 months later. they are *still* open.
Wow, I guess its no surprise that they lied. But lieing of this magnitude usually only involves politicans with hookers.
We happened to be there because we were at Half Price books, and saw the mob of parents forming outside. Some mothers nearly foaming at the mouth to get in first. Debating on how to shove some of the waiting pregnant women aside, so they could get to the savings for their little Britlay or Kaitlyn.
The sales they offered, as promised to be 20 – 50 percent off. was really not that all exciting. At most, it evened out to what you could purchase regular retail. Everything was also «As Is». So if you purchased something in the box like a stroller, that did not have wheels. «Oh well!»
Which is the exact reason why I made my husband put ours together in the store.
We also ended up purchasing a Winnie the Pooh mobile that was 50 percent off, at the grand price of 25 dollars. Well, shame on me. I didn’t check the packaging, and when we came home. It only contained the top part of the mobile. And not the thing that actually made it attach to the crib, made it move, or the music it promised.
Yes, the Child’s room was still screwing some of its clients from beyond the watery grave of bankruptcy.
Last time we passed by it was still open, with about the same savings as they first offered. This time, there was a fair amount of dirty merchandise/​play mats/​rugs they were selling. For again, about retail.
So, in closing. If are in that area anyway, you could always stop by. Kind of like you would for a carnival side show, but for goodness sake. don’t pay full price. Don’t put a lot of stock into finding «excellent deals!», or high quality things. Or you too will end up the creek, with a defective over priced toy paddle.

These people will take your money and won’t refund or deliver your items!!! So please do not shop there. Read all the horrbile reviews. I’ll be stopping by to get a full refund if I can, and the visit Lazar’s Juvenile Furniture. Heard many great things about them!!!
