We were coming back to San Diego from Lake Tahoe and this was the first 4.5 star sushi restaurant that came up on Unilocal in hours. Korean owned sushi restaurant with no Asian people eating inside had us a bit weary. There were a few people waiting outside and there were no chairs or heat. I would recommend maybe doing a call or text system, so at least your customers can sit in the warm car while waiting. We ordered the following: Crazy Brothers Roll(Really mushy spicy tuna. Fried onions were extra greasy and not crispy) Fire Cracker Roll(They«forgot» to put the avocado and eel in the roll. The waitress said it’s eel sauce and not eel in the roll, even though the menu stated eel. It was basically crispy rice, topped with really mushy spicy tuna) Ikura with Shiso(Rice was extra hard here, like they had used rice that had been left out) Miso Soup(They ran out) Fresh Oysters(They ran out) Overall, about 2 stars for the food and experience. Between my husband and I, we ended up just having 2 rolls and the ikura since they came back later to tell us they were out of the other items and the food wasn’t good enough for us to order more. Adding one star back since the waitress took the Firecracker roll off our bill since«we didn’t like it», but not because they forgot to put some key ingredients in it. Food looks really pretty in pictures, but unfortunately, execution fell short.

Went here on a whim(thanks to Unilocal) and it was excellent. The sushi was high quality and very tasty, possibly the best I’ve had. We got the California love and spider rolls as well as egg rolls. All were great, but the egg rolls took a long time to come out; about 20 minutes after we finished the sushi rolls. Nonetheless, we will be back here for sure. Great price and great sushi!

Came here for the first time today. Alex, the guy behind the bar, was very friendly and has a great sense of humor. Great vibes at this place. They have a «sushi bar lunch special» for $ 11.99 which includes a spicy tuna roll, California roll, and crunch roll as well as 3 pieces of fresh sushi, a small salad and a bowl of miso soup. I ended up getting that and the portions were great for a meal. I left satisfied. Quality of the fish is great, and the rice is purple, which I thought it was cool. We asked the guy why they die it purple and he explained that it’s not a die. Apparently when you put vinegar on the rice, it turns purple? Something like that. Anyways, super good food, great value, great customer service. You’ll be happy you came here.

This is our favorite new sushi joint! We’ve been to MANY, but this new spot is one of the best! Presentation of the food was great and everything was delicious. All the waitresses were so sweet and accommodating, I felt like they were all my aunties!

Mmmmmm, that purple rice is so good. Such a friendly and helpful staff. I am a sushi newbie, but I have liked everything I have tried. The service is just top notch, I hope they stay around a long time!

Not only do they have the best sushi in a 30 mile radius, but they also have the most generous, welcoming staff on the planet. I’m so glad this place is only a few miles away from my home. If you haven’t been here yet, make the trip. You won’t be disappointed.

The purple rice is something different and makes them unique. Service was good and the fish was fresh.

Best. Sushi. Ever. Bar. None. From the people who work there… To the tastey purple rice. The fish is so fresh. It’s not all you can eat… Which is good… Because that is how you know fresh fish from defrosted freezer fish. I come here several times a month. The albacore is the best in my opinion.

The service is great, food was amazing, prices were great. The reason they didn’t get 5 stars was because of the atmosphere. It is very small, which normally isn’t a problem. However the bar area was full on this night and women were literally screaming and cussing very loudly. It’s hard to enjoy dinner when every other thing you hear is F this and F that. Seeing as there were several families there, the manager should have asked them to tone it down. My husband and I read the reviews and decided to have a family dinner here since I had just given birth three weeks ago and needed to get out of the house. Since the service was amazing and the prices were fair, we will be coming back… just maybe takeout only.

Cannot be selfish, but at this sushi restaurant — it’s okay I forgive you. Order up!!! We were the first guests when they opened at 3pm. Sweet lady greeted us with a smile. Sushi chefs of course blurt out their welcome in harmony. Picked our own table. The menu is detailed, but easy to read. Selections are humorous. There are some crazy family member sushi name choices; without any emotional effect of their actual presence. I’m sure just tastefully satisfying. Order from the paper list. No avocado or sesame seeds for us though. Sushi is made with red rice(or purple — whatever your eyes see). We ordered rolls: salmon, tuna, hawaiian, Iron Man; extras: gyoza, spicy garlic edamame, kaki oyster fry, miso soup. They do not have udon noodles or bento boxes; ones I did not observe on their menu. When I inquired if they had soup, miso was offered. It’s the first time for me to have red rice sushi, so colorfully pretty, edible and gone! We dined for three people. Total cost was actually less than where we go for all you can eat. Yeah, there is no AYCE either. No problem it’s still enjoyable food! Thank you to the creative sushi chefs and the server lady — a sweetheart. She was tending about 5 families at the same time. We enjoyed our linner experience very much! Bookmarked item checked off :-)

Believe the hype. The sushi here is extremely delicious. The sushi is fresh and is very tasty compared to all the sushi restaurants I have ever been to. The sushi rice is purple and is by far the healthiest type of rice out there. I highly recommend the death roll and the philly crunch. Customer service is also outstanding! Very wonderful food here, highly recommend!

Small space(about 6 tables and sushi bar) but wonderful service! My first time here was the day after Thanksgiving. My extended family wanted to get together for dinner… All 14 of us. I called ahead to see how busy the restaurant was and the nice lady over the phone said that she would reserve tables for us at that time we wanted to dine. Everyone was so helpful, but I wasn’t really able to eat much cause I was sick and didn’t have an appetite. I made my husband try it out tonight as I wanted to have the speciality rolls that my family ordered and be able to enjoy it. I ordered the mango, mango roll and popcorn shrimp roll, both delicious! I was being gluttonous this evening. Will be back here again soon!

Our favorite place! The best sushi, always fresh, wonderful customer service and the prices are reasonable for the food. A bit awkward coming in for the first time since you seat yourself and essentially order your own food from the chefs, but that’s my anxiety talking.

Low rating is due to high prices and small portions, nothing to do with quality. I like the creative way of utilizing purple rice. It brings extra color and personality to the rolls. The rolls albeit are smaller than I am used to… Do pack a great amount of flavor. I like their sushi here I just wish they weren’t skimping on the size and quantity. Their sashimi is good. Nice thick juicy cuts of your selected fish(once again… I believe the prices are a little high). I didn’t feel full until 2 full rolls and an order of 7 sashimi pieces. And I was mostly full Bc of all the rice haha. Service is friendly. They are very attentive and check up on you often throughout your meal. The sushi chefs are very interactive with their customers and provide a very easygoing casual vibe that make it fun for everyone. Overall nice little sushi gem in norco. Ra not easy to find a good sushi place out here so I’m thankful that they are there to quench my sushi thirst haha.

Purple rice sushi! Yum. FYI purple rice is made from healthy grains and is similar to brown rice but taste more delicious! Anyways for the food we order the pokey roll — cut up tuna pieces on top of a California roll. Amazing! Must get! Then we order the Firestone roll — California roll with tempered shrimp on top of sear Cajun tuna and masago! Last order was the crazy jalapeño– not really a roll more of an appetizer it was jalapeño stuffed with crab meat and cream cheese deep fried. Everything was really good! And server was on point. Sit at the bar! The chef will entertain you and give you a good laugh. Good thing they make their sushi with purple rice… This keeps me coming back for more!

We were welcomed with joyous shouts as we entered. We were seated promptly and as I started perusing the sushi menu, I have to be honest – nothing really stuck out at me, per se. Three of us ended up ordering several rolls. Las Vegas roll, Mango Mango, Pink Lady, Death Valley, Firecracker, and Rodeo. Everything came out tasting absolutely delicious! BIL’s fave was the Las Vegas, Husband’s fave was the Mango Mango, and mine was all of the first 3 listed. Death Valley was a showstopper and such an appropriate name. Your regular roll, topped with white fish, on top of a foil boat and engulfed in flames! The Rodeo was topped with deep fried langostino. Sounded delicious, but I tasted more of the batter than I did the langostino. I’d suggest to skip! If you’re looking for something delicious on the less expensive end of the spectrum, definitely try the Las Vegas. The sushi chefs also seem to be coming up with new items that aren’t quite on the menu yet. I saw 2 girls order something at the bar that looked amazing and topped with deep fried onions. I asked what it was and one of the Crazy Brothers said«Crazy Brother». Apparently, they’ve got the whole family on the menu name, Crazy Papa, Crazy Mama, and Crazy Sister. Haha… definitely stop in and check them out. I plan on being a regular.
