This is the place that gives ALL Chinese buffets an bad name. Too bad we can’t post reviews with 0 stars. I tried 12 – 14 selections and the only positive is the hibachi but they’re very limited on the ingredients.

The place look nice from outside but it has horrible food. The interior looks old and dirty. You have to pay first, and the cashier doesn’t ask if you need a drink, they just charge it. Worst chinese food I have ever tried.

Don’t. Just don’t. Seriously. I have never wanted to use a brillo pad to scrub my tongue after a meal, but there’s a first for everything.

Meh. I think my wife summed it up with«I don’t want to eat here again unless we are homeles.» And save the judgmental attitude until you eat some of this crap. All the reviews were from 2014 so I figured I would give it a second look. Never trust a place with an empty parking lot on a Friday night.

This is the only Chinese buffet close to me. I like the people they are always very nice. BUT. The food is always old and there are more American and Mexican dishes then Chinese. .I mean it does say Chinese restaurant on the sign outside.. but last I checked there aren’t jalapenos in EVERYthing. sweet potato casserole. Beef stew. Italian chicken. Yea it actually said Italian chicken. Pico De whatever the fuck. I mean I’m just saying you can find everything BUT Chinese food. Not to mention imitation crab meat and vegetables mixed together 10 different ways does not qualify as a sushi bar. I mean I’m sure they are catering to the costumers they see most. But dude change the sign then… Because a Chinese restaurant they are not. Bummer.

Headed towards my office in northern Gwinnett Co, I had a hankering for a Chinese buffet. My fave was a little out of the way, so I thought I’d give this place a shot, thinking«how bad could it be, really?» Bad. Really bad. Astoundingly bad. Really, astoundingly bad. No need for details, just stay away. Far away. In a galaxy far, far away if possible(which is where they must have gone to find cuts of meat as cheap as they use)

I would give this place a zero if I could. Worst place ever, stay away! Food was disgusting, and seemed like yesterday’s leftovers. Gross just gross.

$ 6.99 weekday lunch buffet. that has food poisoning written all over it, if you ask me. I don’t have high expectations for any chinese buffet. I don’t even expect it to be decent. it’s just an open option for those days I have no idea what I want and I just want something cheap. if I remember right, I was craving crawfish real bad one day and manchuria popped up in my mind. I remembered seeing it when I was cruising in gwinnett, so we decided to try ‘em out. it’s located off of jimmy carter, less than a mile after the exit. it should be in the same turn as if you were going to the varsity. manchuria will be straight across from the varsity. let me just say this first. one time visit to this buffet is enough. the place looked dirty, the food didn’t look super fresh, and there were only 3 – 4 other tables. all the signs were telling us to leave. but nope, this buffet has a weird policy. you HAVE to pay before entering the dining area. wtheck? I’ve never heard of paying before eating at a buffet. but whatevs, it’s was so cheap that it didn’t phase me at the time. not much to say about the food really. or should I say, nothing too surprising. everything was lacking flavor, color, freshness, and anything you can think of. the crawfish was alright. I’m just glad they added jalepenos and some other seasonings to the broth. but was it decent enough for me to go out of my way to come back and support this place? nah, I’ll pass. I would advise you to do the same. unless you have a strong stomach, don’t let me stop you.

Omg I don’t know if it’s always like this or just this time but it’s sooooo crowded. I had to pay and wait for 10 min to get a table. The prices are very reasonable btw. It’s $ 10.50 buffet and drink. I didn’t want drink but she charged me anyway. Lots of variety including shushi bar. They a also have pizza wings and fries lol. But I enjoyed lots of shrimp and prawns with fried rice. Food was yummy :) this place is very crowded so I recommend going early or later than lunch. Lol it was soo noisy and kids were running everywhere. Had fun :)

Ok… I have to update my review. We had quit coming here for like 8 months because it had gone down hill so bad. This place was a staple for us for over 15 years. We have seen ownership change hands at least once. The point is, we had been coming forever and it was very disturbing when we decided to quit coming. Over the years we had only seen like a couple of problems where customers complained to management. Management never handled them well at all. Having said that, when you only see a couple of complaints over 15 or more years, that is a great track record. We decided to come back after our 8 month layoff just to see if maybe someone talked some sense in to the owners who had let the quality of the food deteriorate like crazy over a year’s period. Needless to say, that was about 3 weeks ago and we have been like 3 times since then. My addiction is right back to where it started and I now love this place again. The food has been hot and fresh and everything has been excellent. I am no sushi expert by any means but I know this is the best sushi I have ever found on a cheap chinese buffet. They have awesome sweet and sour chicken, shrimp fried rice and salmon or white fish depending on the day. The greek salad is not quite as good as it used to be but it is still good. The fresh fruits on the bar are hit or miss but that is the same everywhere in the world. All in all, it is a great selection, you will get great service with refills on drinks and them clearing dirty plates from your table and the price is great for everything that is offered. They have many more food selections that are great as well that I did not mention. I just highlighted some of my favorites. My wife absolutely loves their salt and pepper shrimp(with the heads still on LOL) and their blue crab is bigger than any other buffet. Great stuff! They are back! Go try them out and see! I mean you can’t expect PF Changs for less than $ 10 per person but I cannot imagine the Chinese buffet being much better. The only better one I have been to since the 90’s was in Greenville, SC. Go check them out!

We ate here as we were starving and waiting to attend the Netherworld Haunted House down the street. Asian food seemed a better call than a crummy looking IHOP or the Cracker Barrel although this place being located behind the Cracker Barrel should have been a tip. The sign says Hibachi, Sushi, and Chinese Buffet which this place does offer in a way… The hibachi is a cold tray table with diced vegetables and pre-measured cups of meat. You place these on a place and then approach the grill window, you select a sauce off the paper pasted to the window and tell the cook the number, he will not know how to say the sauce. The ingredients are average at best. Sushi is several common nigiri: salmon, tuna, white fish(also comes in rolls), and a few creative rice balls. These sit on plates which reside on a tray of ice, not the best way to keep raw fish fresh but I guess it works. Nothing smelled turned or fishy although the few pieces I attempted also lacked any real flavor without a soaking in soy sauce or chunks of wasabi. The buffet was about four or five bars that featured both hot and cold options. The menu seems divided into a weird blend of American friendly: corn, mac’n’cheese, pot roast, salad, etc. Then features a Latin follow up: pico de gallo, various salads featuring peppers, taco meat, etc. Then your typical Chinese faire: General Tso, sesame chicken, sweet and sour, Mongolian, fried rice, egg rolls, fried apps, etc. There is one bar that even features whole crawfish, whole shrimp, and some of the thinnest steamed crab legs I’ve ever seen! The quantity is quite abundant but the quality leaves something to be desired. So you start eliminating options based on sight and sense of «maybe this looks dry cause it’s been here like all day» over the«wonder what was in that empty tray maybe it is really good». The reason this place probably continues to have a returning clientele is the price, for the size at a mere $ 8.99 per person it seems like a deal… seems like. Also don’t go to the bathrooms… I dunno what the deal is but they are not maintained and seem completely ignored.

I had the sad displeasure of eating here today. It is not a venue I would normally venture to however a work colleague likes the place and was adamant we go here. The food selection was great. There are plenty of buffet tables and the options range from Sushi to Salad. The issue is, most of it does not look good or taste good. A lot of the meat is overcooked, the carb based(dumplings, spring rolls, rangoons.) options are dried out and it just lacked any real flavor. At this point I may have rated it a three, considering it is Chinese Buffet after all, what else can I expect for $ 8? However on top of all of this, as I was eating my lunch I felt a sting on my chest. I jumped out of my booth and was stung two more times. It appeared to be a Yellow Jacket inside the restaurant. I was offered a few«sorrys» and a disgusting looking spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide. I could not even finish my plate and had to leave. Thank god it was me and not one of the many kids there. Kind of glad I did not get a chance to eat more as I do not feel well. I highly suggest you choose not to come here.

Been going to this place for 10 years, its was ok. Good selection, black pepper chicken was strong. Potatos and bacon were good. Something happened, something terrible. Returned at lunch time and the place was almost empty, it was hopping last time I came a year ago. Black pepper chicken no longer resembled the old dish. Instead a pepperless chicken mush. Eggrolls gone. Crab ragoons a dry husk. It was all bad. i searched for something, tried a lot of things to remind me of the good times. Left feeling terrible and queasy. Something has changed. Let your memories remain fond and don’t come back. A dark and foul evil has taken over this establishment. Should of known when the parking lot was empty. BEWARE

I have, now HAD, been going there for at least 15 years! Last night we went, looking forward to going back after a few months(discovered Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet @ 5265 Jimmy Carter Blvd recently, which is very good). We always 1st get sushi, about ½ of it covered in some pink spicy hot sauce! I cannot eat spicy/hot! After that, my husband came back from getting other food, and told me they were out of lots of things… We arrived @ 8pm on a Saturday! Strange: o When I went to get other stuff, lots of it full of sliced jalapeño peppers!!! That’s new! Between jalapeños, and 2 fish — empty, green salad — empty, some mayo based salad — empty, sliced fruit — empty, beef not looking very good at hibachi grill — therefore was NOT going to touch the shrimp, nor chicken there, etc., I barely had choices of what to eat!!! AGAIN, I had really liked the place for 15+ years. Some of the waitresses recognized me, said friendly hello, and are wonderful! I decided I had to speak with the manager/?owner… WHAT A MISTAKE!!! He immediately got on the defensive, was quite rude, didn’t care that I was telling him it would be my last time there — after 15+ years, and dozens of recommendations to other people through the years. Oh, BTW… I had NEVEREVER seen the place so empty, especially for the day & time! He basically told me — don’t like jalapeño, don’t come!!! :o I’m getting upset again!!! Not worth it! LOL One last thing — when we left this poor empty place… we drove over to check out the Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet, further down the road… And it was BURSTING at the seams!!! Now I know, for sure, they are getting all of Manchuria’s business!

The food quality and selection has gotten worse since the last time we ate here. There are not many healthy, tasty looking choices. I mostly just ate the rice stick noodles and broccoli. It was definitely not worth my money. Even the ice cream(or frozen yogurt machine) tasted gross to me. I have been to better Asian buffets. I will not eat here again.

Hibachi yes, sushi no. There’s a large selection here but I find that a big pile of shrimp from the hibachi chef is the way to go. They used to have some good days for sushi, but now the salmon is always dull in color and obviously straight from a freezer. There are several recent improvements in seating and general environment, including a few more options, but not much that stands out. It’s a good thing I like artificial crabmeat, because you can get it about 12 different ways. The real crab tends to be underwater and soggy; it’s not snow crab, either. The frog legs are nice, as are the BBQ ribs(last seen as ‘boneless’). I like this place because it’s convenient to me, and sort of a tradition. If I lived at a greater distance, I would not go out of my way to get back here.

We were passing through Norcross on our way back home and decided we wanted to grab some Chinese food along the way. I made the mistake of choosing this restaurant. The food here was beyond atrocious. Everything tasted bland and soggy; the chicken dishes in particular looked like it had been sitting out for some time. The sushi was also quite terrible, and it made my wife ill. Honestly, after trying everything I was brave enough to eat, nothing on the buffet was worth my time. The food was simply terrible, and judging by what I’ve read, it looks like it’s gone downhill particularly in the last year. Please, for the sake of your taste buds and your health, stay away.

My friend decided that it was a good idea to try this place today… right next to/behind the/around the shady corner of Denny’s off Jimmy Carter… this place is a mess!!! I remember coming here when I was a young child, and thought it was decent then… and guess what, ITHASNTCHANGED A BIT!!! the carpet was NAST, food wasnt much better. Pretty typical«Chinese Buffet» stuff + a ‘to order’ hibachi sorta thing. I guess for the price it was ok…$ 10 for AYCE«Not So Fresh Seafood Buffet». Is it bad that I felt low income? :(I am sorry… all in all… don’t go here.
