I haven’t been back to Cracker’s since I last lived in the neighborhood a few years ago but since I’ve moved back my girlfriend asked to go since she enjoys Pacifica and this is closer. Waitstaff sucked that night and as a result we ordered drinks with the intent of staying longer but after our waitress ignored us for 45 minutes we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. I understand we all go through shit at times. Life isn’t easy but if you’re working in the waitstaff industry and you’re having a tough time… call in. Probably will not return here again.

I would say that the food is pretty good here for the type of place that it is. The drinks are the they are AMAZING. I really liked this place when I visited because the prices were reasonable for the things that they sold.

First off, you do have to enjoy tapas bars. If you’re expecting a HUUUUUUUUGE steak, this won’t be the place to go. We love everything about Crackers. The drinks. The food. The atmosphere. It never fails.

This is a place I go with my girlfriend for drinks every now and again and I have literally never been disappointed. The ambiance is really cool and the staff is always friendly. We usually sit at the bar but we brought my mom tonight so we sat at a table. All of us ordered drinks, they have a huge cocktail and martini list so you can usually always try something new. Be aware of what’s in them though, I ordered a bourbon cocktail that had this licorice liquor in it — I’m not a fan of licorice but the drink wasn’t terrible. It’s a tapas restaurant so I recommend ordering a couple plates each to share with your friends. We got the pork and ginger potstickers(amazing), the calamari(delicious), the hummus du jour(yes, you guessed it, amazing) and the fondue du jour(sorry to keep saying this, amazing). Each dish is well thought out and beautifully plated. If you’re in the mood to catch some drinks and a bite to eat before or after your evening plans, HIGHLY recommend. I’m a fan of the owners’ other bistros — Empire, Six and Pacifica. All located in downtown Norfolk, Hampton and VB respectively. Definitely check those other spots if you’re in those areas; these people know that they’re doing!

Peculiar menu. The scallops were like that(that means they were great). Overpriced in my opinion for the food that was served, much of it lacked the flavors described in the menu. Don’t ever go to a tapas place hungry!!!

This is the place I go when I just want to get a drink relax and maybe do a little thinking. It’s never crowded and the whiskey selection is pretty decent. It’s classy enough that you can throw on a nice pair of jeans and feel like your having a night out, but still low keyed enough where you feel like your at a neighborhood bar. I can’t even count how many times I’ve been here and never a bad experience. They get my five stars because I always get exactly what I go for.

Love to go to this place because of the variety of food and beer. No matter how weird something sounds I always try it and never been disappointed! We usually sit by the bar area and have nothing but laughs and a good time. Bartender is always friendly. I only give it four stars only because it’s a bit pricey but, must admit worth it.

Crackers never fails me. Wonderful tapas, menu always changes, always very good service(Scotty rocks). Great selection of craft beers, plenty of choices for wine and still offering a very long list of martinis & cocktails. Everything we ordered was devoured, yet again. And if they have s’mores for dessert just ORDERTHEM don’t hesitate.

Came here to celebrate the opening and first customer of my own business. Love the variety. I can try several things but not get 4 entrees They are truly craft drink makers, I asked for Hendricks, st Germaine, and grapefruit martini. And it was yummy! The tempura veggies are super. But eat them when hot. If you wait, cold tempura is not as good. Dessert: chocolate mousse puff pastry w caramel! See pix.

Another great time at Crackers! I’m increasing the stars because I had amazing service and the drinks are back to their old quality. The specials the night I was in were fantastic. The butter had apples and bourbon in it and there was a terrific special of apples and figs with goat cheese. So delicious! My cocktail was prepared properly and according to the menu(I love the sidecar that’s on their menu and I’ve received it in the wrong proportions and without the rim quite a few times). My food was always hot and was brought to me by three different people so it was always hot and fresh when I started nibbling. So great! I feel so much more confident visiting this establishment over Empire.

Had an amazing little date night with my best friend. We each started the evening with a martini-he got a pineapple something and I got a watermelon basil something… Fancy names, I don’t remember. Both were absolutely amazing and we got to sit at the bar and watch the bar tender handcraft both-even going into as much detail as slapping the basil to release the natural juices and flavor. We then ordered the fondue du jour-White Cheddar & Jalapeño. It was phenomenal! Served with perfectly toasted ciabatta bread. The cheese was not too spicy-just a perfect creamy blend. We also ordered a bread and house butter portion. The board said it was Apple Bourbon Butter-honestly all I tasted was a little off flavored butter. Maybe not the strongest of butter flavor-nonetheless the bread and butter is always a hit here. I will be back-if not to this particular location, to one of the Little Bar Bistro joints-I love them all!

Had the El Diablo and Sangria cocktails which were very well made. Potstickers were INCREDIBLE. I’d pass on the beef filet and duck sliders next time, very underwhelming. Service was spot on!

A friend of mine and I were looking for something different for a recent night out. I saw this place on Unilocal and thought it sounded like a perfect fit. We had so much fun here. Steve was a great bartender and the martinis were delicious! I had the Southern Bondage and SPF42. They were tasty and strong! My friend had the SPF42 and a Grasshopper. The liquor selection was phenomenal. The Grasshopper wasn’t even on the menu, but Steve happily obliged. He was funny and had great taste in music that he was playing in the bar. We decided that Margarita Monday was hereby replaced with Martini Monday. We’re going back and we’re bringing friends!

This place seriously rules. The food is consistently beautiful and delicious. It’s the cutest bar. And Steve Scott* is seriously an incredible bartender — his playlist, his energy, his service — all on point! I always enjoy the hell out of myself when we come to Crackers. *every other server we’ve had here has also been 100% wonderful. Chloe! I’m talkin to you!

This was our first stop of the night. I got the ruby martini-a much sweeter martini with a cherry flavor to it. It was very yummy! We also chose the Spicy smoked deviled eggs– OMG, they were melt in your mouth. The salmon complimented the egg surprisingly well! Next, we got the Lomi-Lomi Salmon, grilled pineapple, wakame, and Sriracha– I didn’t taste Sriracha, but it was a delicious dish. I wasn’t a fan of the taste of the greenery underneath by itself, but it paired well with the sweetness of the pineapple above it. Last, we got the bread and butter with the butter of the night being blueberry butter– the bread and butter was the most indulgent part of our tapas, as the butter was super rich and creamy. It had some amazing flavor!!! We had great service. Our waitress was very attentive even though she seemed to be the only waitress working. She was almost stunned to see us leaving after the small amount of food we had eaten, but we were just tapas bar hopping, so we wanted to save room!

Overall a nice place with good food, pleasant people and a good bar. The prices for the amount you get is what bothered me. I tried the lamb lollipops which were very good but small, 11 bucks and only got two. In total we spent 100 for about 6 small plates and 2 drinks each. The menu want bad but could have used more typical tapas items like olives, mushrooms and different meats. The parking is very minimal off of Granby st. Overall I’d say go to Bodega on the other end of Granby. Better menu worth more options.
