The chicken was super dry making my thirsty as hail. Mac n cheese was okay, wasn’t really feeling it either. The potato wedges were also dry and tasted stale. Service was good and the staff was very kind. I was gonna go back to maybe get something else, but I had class. Not tryna be a butthole but I’m just being real.

Apparently they are renovating, but they’re still serving food. I went there on a weekday afternoon, I believe it was during exam week so I wanted to try something new. I came in and saw some of the employees lounging around. They got up and she me for my order. I told her it was my first time and she did a poor job of explaining to me how the menu works/meal deals. So after asking more questions, I decided to get fried chicken(drumstick & thigh), Mac n cheese, and potatoes wedges. The chicken tasted oily and salty as if it’s been sitting there and it was cooked in old oil. Farm fresh is way better. The only thing I enjoyed were the sides. They told me they’re changing the name of the restaurant and maybe under new management. It was disappointing for me bc hadn’t eaten all day and was looking forward to trying the«Krispy & Krunchy» chicken as the name promised.

This place has good fried chicken. I really like their biscuits too. I also got 2 sides — Mac & cheese and potato wedges, and they really do give a lot for the sides! I enjoyed my meal. I’ve never heard of this place before. Glad it’s one of the food places around the ODU campus.

Krispy Krunchy Chicken I think lived up to the hype. I mean you can never really go wrong with chicken! I typically order the 4 piece Cajun chicken tenders which comes with a yummy buttery honey tasting biscuit. You can add a side and drink additionally. It’s similar to Popeyes or bojangles. Convenient locations at ODU on monarch way!

Saturday night at dinner time. No chicken made. One staff member. 14 customers waiting for food. No apologies. No effort to move quickly. Store is dirty. Tables dirty. Employee wearing rubber gloves using register, scratching his nose, taking money and handling food with the same gloves on. If the food doesn’t kill us, we won’t be back. If it does, I guess it doesn’t matter.

Krispy Crunchy chicken is a new chicken place near ODU. Great name. That’s what drew me in. However, in this review I will focus on the service, food and price that reflects my 3 star rating. First off, the service was friendly and fast. The casper even made a recommendation even though I ordered something else becuase he suggested a combo that cost 11 dollars. Not what I was looking for tonight. About the foood. I ordered a 4 piece Cajun chicken tender with a bisquit. It was juicy and fresh. Also it came with ranch, which wasn’t needed. The biggest problem I have with the chicken, is that I can get greater quantities of the same thing from Hardee’s. That said ibthink $ 6+ is over priced for a four piece tender. Frankly, thier food is to expensive for what your getting. Theres nothing unique about this chicken. With Hardee’s being in a 4 minute driving range, I don’t think I’ll need to come here again. Not to mention, raising cains, which has better prices for slightly better food. If your interested, I think there worth trying at least once.

I was super excited to find out that there was going to be a new chicken place next to ODU. I came to Krispy Krunchy Chicken and was very pleased with what I ordered. I ordered the 4 Cajun tenders which came with a biscuit and added a side of fries and drink for $ 2.50. My total was $ 8-$ 9 which seemed to be a little too much for some tenders, fries, and a biscuit(why only 4 stars). The tenders had good flavor, but were a little dry if you didn’t dip it in sauce(I got honey mustard). The fries were fresh and the biscuit was so delicious! It wasn’t like your ordinary biscuit from KFC or Popeye’s, it was soft, sweet, and had a little crunch from the crust. I prefer this place over Cane’s, because the tenders actually have flavor and plus I don’t really like canes sauce. However, I would pick Popeye’s over Krispy Krunchy. There is something for everyone! They have a great variety of menu items from chicken, chicken tenders, fish, and shrimp.

We had food ordered from this restaurant and it took a hour for them to deliver to our place of business which is only 5 minutes away. When we got the food it was called the chicken fillet was raw. The delivery driver that came did not look very professional. Do not waste your money going to this place at all. Word of mouth is a great way to promote your business when the food is good but when the food is cold and raw your doors will be shut very quickly.

Someone did not do their market research. How are you going to try to compete with canes with mediocre service and food. Spend your money somewhere else.

Worst chicken I have ever tasted in my life. Why go here when canes is right down the road. Don’t waste any of your money on this disgrace of a chicken house. They don’t even have sweet tea!

A new chicken place opened up on Monarch Way at ODU, so my stomach told me to head on over there to try it out! What kind of chicken do they serve at Krispy Krunchy? They serve Cajun chicken, and I find their offerings to be very similar to Popeyes’. They also offer wings and fries seafood. For my order, I got the 4-pc tenders and a biscuit. The tenders were fairly larger than your average chicken tender, however I found them extremely dry. The flavor resembles that of the frozen chicken tenders available at a wholesale supermarket but with added Cajun seasoning and spices. The biscuit was a different story though. It was so soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside, and tastefully sweet like honey. Would I come back? Probably. I might try the shrimp next time or come for the upcoming $ 0.50 wing nights. Until then, I’ll stick to getting my chicken tenders elsewhere.
