All things ODU on the bottom and all things books on the top. Not to forget a Starbucks store on the side. Tons of staff every where to assist incoming students this Fall. Racks were full and looked appealing. Manager spoke with us on two occasions and ended up checking me out. Staff was helpful and friendly. The only restrooms are located up stairs, not too smart. Parking is meter parking only, bring change.

Almost everything ODU you could want, plus textbooks and«normal» books and school supplies. It’s always very clean and the staff are generally helpful. The racks of clothes are *very* close together, making it difficult to maneuver through the store. I understand there are space considerations in any retail space, but aren’t there some sort of ADA-compliance issues there?

More books than one out of college could ever imagine. Now that I’m starting to age a bit I do appreciate what my little pea brain can still retain from time to time. I stopped in last week to pick up an ODU jersey and found every piece of ODU apparel. I searched long and hard but couldn’t find any tear away pants but did pick up a nice jersey for our Elite party. You’ll see me here again but most likely for clothes, not books. My pea brain retains information mostly through videos so I’ll read the YouTube version of what books they sell there!

Oh snap! I totally forgot I got a degree here, yet this is my first time here on campus… ever!!! Very nice and clean campus. Looks brand new. Nice row of restaurants such as BBQ, sushi, ice cream and coffee. Bookstore looks brand new too. Yet there’s not much in the textbook section; I guesstimate about 400 sq ft total for textbooks and the rest on athletic gear and random ODU paraphernalia. Kinda pricey on water bottles, ranging from $ 16 – 24 depending if it’s Nalgene or Camelbak. The athletic gear prices though are comparable to other university prices. Parking — metered parking everywhere that’s regulated from 8am to 8pm. You can also find non-metered parking that’s good for 2 hours.

As I noted in my review of Dominion Bookstore, a college bookstore is a college bookstore. ODU’s bookstore, newly built, shiny and clean doesn’t try to buck the trend or the norm. The book prices and buy back incentives are no better or worse than anywhere else. It’s a university bookstore and they’re in it for the money, baby. With that being said, the ODU bookstore is a nice place to shop for ODU merchandise and apparel. Even as an off-campus graduate student, I still find myself excited by the selection of t-shirts, hats and sweatpants emblazoned with the Monarch’s logo on it. The prices are what you would expect, but hey, college proves that you have to pay for some of your best memories.
