LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
I wish there was one of these near where I live in DC. I would eat here every day. Every time I make a trip down to the Virginia Beach /Norfolk area, I seek out Taste Unlimited for an AWESOME lunch.

Almost though I was in a market place or the commissary haha. Very open view of the workers making different types of food. They offer samples at certain times and are very nice unless they’ve very busy.
They’re sandwiches are very well made with fresh ingredients. Their soups, ESPECIALLY THE LOBSTER one (can’t believe I forgot the name) but it was SO GOOD. I would buy a tub of that and leave that at home if I could.
Awesome food with the right TASTE (ha you see what I did there?), a bit more expensive that others but a great place to go to once in a while.

When you walk inside… Ask for a free sample of gelato. Then close your eyes… And imagine cobblestone streets, Italian accents, Vespas speeding by… It’ll take you right back to Italy. At least it did for me. I’ve had gelato in the States a couple times, but never anything like this. It’s a lot cheaper than a plane ticket, that’s for sure.
Really though, the rest of Taste is a super fun joint, with artisan and locally made products (sauces, wine, etc.), making it a good place to look around for a new «taste» of certain items.
The service was really great as well. The lady that served me gelato was generous with the portion size and made conversation rather than treating me like a number.
I haven’t tried lunch or dinner here yet, but will have to soon. Really like the atmosphere. And oh yeah, the GELATO. Ciao.

Wow, what a cool place! The inside seems to be so upscale, but not in a bad way-just very classy. They have tons of local wines, salsas, and other goodies for sale! We got their gelato, but they appear to have a food menu as well, with a neat little wooden bar area where you can order a glass of wine.
Back to the gelato-it was incredible! Some of the most unique and delicious flavors I’d ever had. I ended up choosing the amaretto cheesecake, which was to die for! If you’re having a hard time deciding, don’t hesitate to ask for samples first!
