Let me start with WELOVESONIC! We were so excited when it opened and at first it was great. They food was delivered in a timely manner, it was hot, it was correct. After about 6 months being open, WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! Forty five minute to an hour wait time for food that was cold and incorrect. We don’t special order so you would think they could get regular menu food right. Nope! The last time we went we got someone else’s order. We had waited 20 minutes to even place our order, and hour to get the food and then it wasn’t even our food! Waited another 15 minutes for an answer from the speaker and then my husband went and knocked on the door. No apology! He asked for our money back, but no one there«knew how to give refunds». Right. Waited another 20 minutes for our rush order and the food was still wrong! We ate it anyway, left and will never be back to this one. Also, of the last three times we went, twice they were out of ice cream! Really? You specialize in happy hour milkshakes! How do you run out? Run across the parking lot to Walmart and buy some!

Ordered for my family and waited 25 minutes for our food and drinks. We watched six cars go through the drive thru after we ordered. The car hop was named Miranda and she saved the day. She apologized for our wait, made sure our order was correct, gave us plenty of ketchup and napkins. Kudos to her for being such an ambassador for Sonic!

Good fast food, but, as usual, the service was less than average. I had to repeat my order multiple times, and upon receipt and review of the order — when we got home — we realized we had been given the wrong food. As stated, the food is good. It’s also nice to get the food you order…

The service at this Sonic is horrible. Don’t go here unless you have lots of time to waste. I have waited as much as 15 minutes for a Route 44 drink. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Below sub par sonic blasts, I got the peanutty master blast and it was just vanilla ice cream. Same story with the cookie dough blast. Even the picture shows the ice cream as brown like peanut butter, but it was just vanilla. For 4 bucks, I could buy a bag of chocolate and a ½ gallon of Ice cream and call it good. We won’t be back

Terrible experience. They do not honor national chain coupons or deals. It was half priced cheeseburger day a few days ago at Sonic. Their posts from Facebook all day said to mention this at the time of your order to get the lower price. They said that they did not have to do it. On top of this, their wait times are horrific. I don’t know if it is how this Sonic is set up, or if it is because they have a lot of high school kids working who don’t care or there is a flaw in training or lack-there-of, but it is honestly the worst Sonic I’ve ever been to.

This was my worst Sonic experience ever! Waited nearly 20 minutes in drive thru for a shake. They brought it out to me and I handed the guy my money. He turned around and walked away with no apology for the wait. That’s not it! He didn’t even give me my change!!! I continued to wait until I got to the window and asked for my change. The person at the window, which seemed to be a manager, was not even apologetic or surprised. Never coming back here again — it’s not worth it. Monday, June 29, 2015 at 8:20PM

Credit card machine only works half the time. The rest of the time you’re spent left waiting and waiting for assistance with it. No napkins ever. Never deliver condiments that are ordered and the order is always wrong.

We waited a half hour to get our food, and it never came, so we came in and found that our order was lost. We waited another 20 minutes for our food and it finally came. Sort of. We got our fries and drinks. We then handed out our food to our car. I asked the front of the car for my hot dog. It wasn’t there. We could not stand to wait any longer, so my dinner was tots and fries. You would expect after almost 60 minutes, you would get some sort of priority service, but no. The customer needs to be satisfied to come back. I will not be coming back for a very long time. Sonic burger lost its Sonic. It is now on crutches. Thanks for thoroughly ruining my evening Sonic.

This is hands down the WORST Sonic I have ever been to. We were thrilled when we heard we were going to get a sonic, it is one of our favorites when we travel. It has been a disappointment since day 1. It takes forever to get your food, The food is rarely hot, and our order is incorrect most of the time. If you send it back they get an attitude and take even longer to bring you the correct food. One time we were even brought the same incorrect food wrapped in a new wrapper. We spent an hour there that night demanding they make it over and over until they got it right… no mustard is a simple request and sometimes you just have to prove a point… and didn’t end up eating the food because let’s face it, after the second try someone spit in that burger. I have only had my order correct TWICE since they opened. In addition to orders being fouled up constantly we usually do not get napkins, silverware or condiments and rarely get the trademark mint. The carhop will not have any of these items in her possession although it is an eat in your car establishment and would just be smart to bring them. If you call in to get these forgotten items any slightly warm food that you have will end up ice cold after the long wait. I’m just plain disappointed that I can visit Champaign, Springfield or Peoria and receive a hot, fast, tasty meal but can’t get one in my own back yard. I wish that I could have left no stars.

Had a special on corn dogs, you would think there would be more than one worker! Everybody who ordered on the patio had to wait at least 30 minutes to get our food. Worst service ever! Service at a restaurant is faster!

I was staying in Bloomington for work and decided to take the shuttle down to the Walmart to get some things to tide me over to for the week. After navigating my way through the Mart, I worked my way back outside to the freezing weather to wait for the shuttle. I’m basically freezing my chimichangas off and I look over to the left. And what is this that catches the corner of my eye!!! Doth mine eyes deceive me? Lawd Jeezus it’s a fire! SONIC!!! Oh how I’ve missed you! *hugs the whole sonic drive-in* Or at least that’s what I’d like to do in my mind. As you can tell, I love Sonic especially since they are hard to come by in the Pacific NW where I live. I hurriedly walked over to the Sonic, as I obviously had time to spare, and got myself a grilled cheese sandwich, some tots, some fries, mozzarella sticks, French toast, an M&M blast, a grape creamslush, a small cranberry sprite and a cherry-coke slush. Mind you it could have been all but 15 degrees outside, but when I go Sonic, I go all in. Oh my dear lord, I know they food here is probably really bad for you, but in that moment it was soooooooo good for me. «O» face, comin right up! Just kidding, but seeing the shuttle driver’s face when I got on with my bags of Walmart and my drink carrier with all my beverages… I could tell he was jealous to the max. Thanks Sonic for letting me feel a little bit like my days in Oklahoma where there is like a Sonic on every corner. Boy the food is so good and there are so many combinations. I’m just glad you can get breakfast any time of the day. Yussssssssssss!

Went four times during vacation, always had long waiting time getting drinks and only once the order of two drinks was correct. Gave extra star because it was busy and hopefully new employees.

Love this place! I always get good service & had a particularly good experience the other day-went to grab lunch but the grill was down so I almost left but found something I could order that was not grilled and they gave me a coupon for a free cone due to the inconvenience even though I did not complain in any way. A very classy gal working the register also gave me the tip that they accept their coupons at all times – even if they’re expired. Good people, good food, good service.

Ya know, there’s nothing better than getting food poisoning just in time for Thanksgiving and a 20 hour road trip. Thank you for that, Sonic. Boyfriend and I were on our way to stay with a friend in Springfield before hitting the road for two days en route to Albuquerque for Thanksgiving. Monday night, halfway through our three hour trip for the day, we wanted to stop somewhere for a quick bite to eat since it was time for dinner. Our dog was along for the trip, so we needed to stop somewhere that wasn’t a restaurant so he wouldn’t be alone. We eyed the Panera down the street and in retrospect, we totally should have stopped there instead, but alas, we never had Sonic since there aren’t any up north, so we said, what the heck. Let’s try it out. Pretty basic menu. I went for the cheeseburger and tater tots since I thought that was an interesting change of pace. Boyfriend had a chicken sandwich. They said our total and he tried putting his credit card through the machine outside, but apparently that’s just for sonic member cards. Oookay. Girl rollerbladed outside, gave us our food, went back in and slid the card, and came out. Seems like a lot of work. Also, there’s no indoor area, so you either order from the drive thru or from the outside area. Weird. My burger was just okay. Nothing special, but then what can you really expect from a fast food joint? The meat looked okay, but it definitely didn’t look too fresh. I mean even Portillos has a good looking burger. This looked like it definitely had been frozen. I tried not to think about it because it’s fast food and that’s what you get. On the way to my friend’s, my bf started not to feel so great. His stomach hurt and he felt like he was going to throw up. I felt fine. 4am. Here we go. I sprinted to my friend’s bathroom and threw up my Sonic. I threw up four more times before we left at 8am that morning. Actually we left later than we planned because I was so dead sick. My poor friend and her husband had to hear me running down the hallway every hour and her dogs were barking every time I did. Needless to say, I kept everyone up. Won’t give you the rest of the details, but I had full blown food poisioning. Just in time for our 12 hour car trip for the day. I honestly thought I would have to be hospitalized because I couldn’t even keep water down. I was severely deydrated. Instead of trying some good Kansas City BBQ, I ate ice chips. All I had for 24 hours was water, ice, and two crackers. Thank God I was better by Thanksgiving. Oh and of course, my boyfriend was fine. Didn’t get sick. Just me. Isn’t that how it always goes? Poor boy had to drive 10 out of the 12 hours that day because I couldn’t even hold my head up. Lesson learned: Never eat Sonic again.

Opening day today! I did the drivethru for breakfast on my way to work. My choice was the steak and egg burrito. Service was fast, SUPER friendly and efficient. Delicious and it was bigger than I thought it would be for $ 2.99. It’s stuffed w/seasoned steak, egg, and tater tots which added a nice crunch. Two packets of picante sauce were also included. The receipt indicates their full menu is served all day so if you want a burger at 6 a.m., or breakfast at 10:30 p.m., you can get it! Their hours are 6 – 11. There were several folks pulled into the drive in parking and it was cute to see the car hops on skates zipping around!
