I just stayed in this hotel, and I would not stay here again. There was never anyone at the front desk, and there was no bell, so you always had to call out to the back office to get help. The beds are hard, the sink is too tall(why should an average height woman have to lean into the counter to brush her teeth?), and the one chair in the room, while it looked adorable, was clearly not made for humans to sit in(it was round). They may have cookies when you check in, but they don’t even have coffee in the lobby — you have to either buy coffee or use the little machines in the room, for which they give you one paper cup per person. Breakfast is not included — we had it one day and it was OK, but I would certainly not have paid the price they charged for it(the receipt said about $ 10/person) and it came with one small, non-refillable cup of coffee. :(We were so unimpressed that we elected to go elsewhere the second day even after we were given another voucher for the second day. The hot tub wasn’t working while we were there. I told them, and they thought that the maintenance guy had fixed it(it was very cold).(This is when we got the breakfast vouchers.) We’d had a long day of walking and we were really were looking forward to the hot tub. :(It still wasn’t working the second day, and they said he had been there and said«it would work or it wouldn’t».(Huh?) We then got to our room to discover that housekeeping hadn’t been by(we were out of the room from 8:30 a.m. — 8:00 p.m.) and had to call down to get towels, coffee, shampoo, etc. We didn’t really receive an apology, just«would you like me to bring those to your room?».(Umm, yeah.) I’ve stayed in many hotels, and issues like this are usually handled better. The same young woman was there when we checked out the next morning, and she didn’t even mention the issues we’d had. Usually when you check out, they ask you if you had a nice stay, if everything was OK, etc. — I would have thought she might have offered a brief apology for the lack of housekeeping and the broken hot tub, since she knew about all of it. It was really weird. I will definitely stay elsewhere the next time I am either in or driving through Norman.

Nice folks, helpful. Needed hard wire internet to teach online course during my business trip. They have it. Room is clean, fresh. Good amenities, coffee bar, refrigerator. AC works very well. Good nights sleep!

This is a really great hotel with excellent staff and the usual top notch Marriott quality. Will always be my go to hotel in Norman for how quality my experiences have been. New, clean, well designed, great rooms, free wifi, great food. As Robin D. said in a previous review, they usually have cookies waiting at the front when you arrive. The little things are what make a place special when compounded with a great staff.

I lived in this hotel for over 5 months straight, no joke. I was in Norman for work and this is where I was so very lucky to stay! I was supposed to only be in the hotel for 3 months but, honestly, I kid you not, I was so impressed with the staff at the hotel, I asked my company if I could relocate to Norman. Everyone was SO friendly and welcoming, they all felt like family. Now I am a Norman resident and I still hang out with the friends I met at the Courtyard. If you want to get away and relax, but still be treated like family, I highly suggest you stay at the Courtyard by Marriott, Norman.

This is a nice, new hotel. The Courtyard has the new upgrades complete with a good restaurant and lounge. The place was super clean and service was great. Cracker Barrell and Outback are walking distance too.

i’ve stayed at this Courtyard by Marriott two years in a row for visits to OU. And since I received the state rate, it was a fantastic value! This hotel looks so new, clean and contemporary! The lobby is huge and they have a bistro and tons of lobby space. There were cookies out to welcome me when I checked in! I especially like the rooms and the comfortable beds. The rooms are so spacious with a mini-couch and flat screen TVs. The bathrooms are great, too. And free wi-fi — definite bonus! I didn’t have a chance to use the gym or laundry facilities, but they both looks great as I passed by in the hallway. The only weird thing is you have to pay really close attention to the directions on how to get there. I always wound up going on a weird street that looks like it’s just a mall parking lot because you actually sort of turn into the mall parking lot. it worked, it was just a little weird. Other than the confusing street in front of it, it’s very convenient to tons of shopping and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to stay for a visit to OU!
