Days Inn Norman

For your money, you are getting a great deal. The staff is really friendly and while part of the hotel is under renovation, it is still a nice hotel. Rooms are very nice size, microwave, fridge, the usual stuff. I felt like we were the only ones staying there, which was nice. Big comfortable bed, little sofa and table and a decent size desk and chair. Not quite enough outlets for our laptops, phone and accessories, but we managed. Very conveniently located, lots of stores and restaurants around us. I will definitely be staying here the next time I am in town.

Definitely a comfortable stay, nothing spectacular but the inconveniences were slight so Days Inn gets a solid ³⁄₅. The room was large and had a lot of floor space. Kevin and Arms slept on the floor and encountered no pests of any sort. They also had a lot of Mtn Dew from the vending machine, and it might have been the best Mtn Dew they’ve tasted in a while. Corey’s chips did get stuck and the machine only took bills which is a con. No conditioner in the shower so Kev’s signature locks will be a bit less silky today.
TV was small but programming was on point. Ethan, King and Mike enjoyed the continental breakfast thoroughly but it wasn’t spectacular by any means. Wi-​Fi was fast and Arms got a lot of Worlds of Warcraft in. He’s a happy boy today to say the least.
Within walking distance of a Waffle House and a Golden Corral, so that’s solid as well. Had the room not smelled weird and the amenities been slightly better the review would have leaned more toward the 4 Star range.

When we first walked in check in was good. Staff was very friendly and upbeat! When we walked into our 1^st room it smelled very bad! Smelt musty the ac was off so it was very muggy and nasty! Found a pubic hair under the toilet seat… yummm!
After a long drive to oklahoma all we wanted to do was sleep. When we jumped into bed the sheets smelt like they had not been washed. Sheets were over powered with febreeze. After tossing and turning for a couple of hours we could not take it anymore so we talked with front desk and they were able to switch us out to another room. They did upgrade us to a king size bed!
When we got into the 2^nd room we experienced the same thing. Odor was bad, sheets didn’t smell clean, AC off and to top it off we did find a dead roach in the corner of our room and also a live crawling one in the hallway.
Breakfast was decent there were options for us. Waffles, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, eggs and sausage. I do like the fact that if you get a room by the parking lot there are two doors to the room. One to parking lot and another to hotel hallway. So unloading and loading was super easy.
All in all I would not stay at this particular Days Inn and I would definitely not recommend it to anyone.
The friendly staff was the only good thing about this hotel!

This place is naaaaasty! I would not recommend this place to anyone! It’s musty, dirty, and needs a good cleaning. There are bugs all over in the room and smells terrible. Worst thing about this place is there was blood on one of the pillows on my bed (looks like someone cut their face shaving or popped a pimple and was bleeding and then laid on the pillow. Disgusting!!! I will not be sleeping tonight… I’ll just sit in the desk chair and wait till morning! I am grossed out!!!

I have stayed at this Days Inn several times over the last few years when passing through Norman.
Like most hotels of this type there are multiple flaws in the rooms, but this one was generally kept in better repair than most budget hotels I have stayed at. The morning breakfast here is above average compared to other hotels in this class.
The really good thing for this hotel is the location. There are many restaurants withing a few minutes drive, and best of all is the Super Target just down the street for when you forget something while on the road.
