Hideaway’s reputation is well deserved in Oklahoma. From the original location in Stillwater, it has branched out to approximately 20 restaurants at the time of the writing of this review. I last had dinner at the Hideaway on OU’s campus on a Tuesday night. As it was the summer, the place was not busy. I think maybe 5 tables seated. It’s a comfortable restaurant, plain booths and tables. It’s certainly not fancy or unique, but it’s comfortable and the booths have high backs, which gives some privacy. Our service was fantastic. We had a young woman learning, so she was being trailed by an experienced server. Both did an excellent job. We were pretty demanding, my 5 year old son wasn’t in the best mood. But, both ladies were very polite the entire time and quickly responded to all requests. 5 star service. To start, we got the 50/50, which is half fried cheese and half of the(famous) fried mushrooms. When it arrived, each item was piping hot. It was clear they were just fried. They’re served with red sauce and ranch on the side. The cheese sticks are typical, you’ve seen these at several different places before. They’re good, they’re just not unique to Hideaway. The mushrooms are unique to Hideaway, and while they are very well known and good, I’ve found them to be lacking in seasoning. We had to add salt and pepper to our order. They’re certainly good, but I suppose I don’t find them as amazing as many others. Probably a me problem… For the meal, I got the Sicilian with added jalapenos. The individual is around $ 13.50 and comes with 6 slices. Some may think that price is a little high for an individual pizza, but you should get 2 meals out of it, so I think the price is more than reasonable. I went with the thinner crust option. The crust was appropriately crunchy and definitely thinner than their traditional crust. The toppings are generously spread throughout, I don’t think I got a bite without every topping. The red sauce is classic, very well seasoned and thicker than traditional pizza sauce. I prefer this style. I could have used more jalapenos, but that’s nitpicking. It’s a very strong pizza, one that I gladly had for dinner the following evening. Hideaway is the rare restaurant that(thus far) has expanded and the quality has not diminished. I am assuming they’ll continue to expand, because I don’t know why you wouldn’t when you have a product that’s good and people will pay for it. Hopefully they maintain the consistency they’ve developed over the years. Recommended, no matter which location you’re near.

Had never eaten at Hideaway before and was with a large group of friends that went. Very pleasantly surprised. Although I didn’t get pizza, the pies my group ordered looked absolutely amazing!!! My sandwich was the best I’ve had in a while, and Bobby, our waiter, was super helpful and punctual in taking care of our table. Total in our group was around 20, but we decided to divide into smaller packs our table had 8. Looking forward to going back. Prices were reasonable, too.

My family and I ordered pizza for carry-out after an after graduation party. I loved how I could customize my pizza for a gluten-free crust with a variety of sauces(I chose the olive oil and crushed garlic), no tomato sauce and a number of toppings. It was good, but I have had really good pizza at other places that also offer dairy-free, soy-free cheese. My family had normal pizzas with cheese, red sauce and meat. They thought that my gluten-free pizza was pretty good too.

Mmmmmm Hideawayyyyyy. My beloved piece of Stillwater in Norman. My happy place with a cold schooner(aka pimp cup, or chalice, whichever you prefer) of beer. Hideaway is bomb. The«hipster» servers as someone called them are always polite. I’m not sure wearing tie dye automatically makes you a hipster though. Now, this isn’t fancy Wedge pizza. It IS delicious Midwest, stick to your bones and then some pizza. There’s fun specialties and build your own. The crust is crispy the pizza is greasy and the signature red sauce has a deep flavor that makes you just wanna lick it off your plate. I’ve tried the pizza of the gods(for when you’re feeling like a «healthy» pizza, the mama Mia(mini meatballs) but I always go to good ol pepperoni! I always get the mozzarella sticks, which are large and full of cheese. None of that over fried empty shell here. The fried mushrooms are also delicious. The fried pickles are a no go. And a friend swears by the wings but I have yet to sacrifice stomach space for wings AND mozz stocks and pizza. Holy saturated fat overload.

I’ve never had a bad meal. The pizza is outstanding, and fried mushrooms are amazing! Love it all! I actually did get a bad meal, recently. I ordered a supreme and fried mushrooms. When we got it home, the mushrooms were burnt, and the pizza was dry and not tasty. Too tired to go back and deal with it. I hope it was just a one time deal.

This place was awesome! A nice little place to go out with friends. They have a couple different beers to try out on draft. Really the draw is for the pizza. They have a ton of different kinds of specialty pizzas that can get pretty crazy & strange. I got Da Bomb. It had spinach &BBQ and was so delicious! I wanted to try some of the Greek style ones but went with the sure thing instead.

Good pizzas, lots of options. Thin crust or tossed. The service was great, very friendly folks. Really close to OU campus.

One of my favorite places to visit while in Norman. The pizza’s are great. The Totally Truffled was always my favorite, but for some reason they took it off the menu. You can still order it custom-made, but they don’t have the truffle oil which changes it quite a bit, but it’ll still do(hence the 4 stars instead of 5). The Maui Magic is good too and so is the basic pepperoni. Also, get the fried mushrooms — they’re probably the best I’ve ever had!

Ordered through order up. It took over an hour and my order was wrong. I ordered(and paid for!) sundried tomatoes and artichokes. It came with no artichokes and diced tomatoes instead of sundried. The pizza was not hot. I will be going to crooked crust from now on.

Aside from having delicious pizzas, the salads and sandwiches are great too if you can pull yourself away from the pizza menu. Try the Parmesan peppercorn dressing, mmmmmmmmm. But I really want to say how great they have been when I’ve brought in big groups recently for work. I don’t like doing the big group thing at restaurants, but sometimes you can’t avoid it. They are always nice and patient with the big groups. Thank you!

Hideaway is my go-to pizza spot in Norman. I had some family from North Carolina in town and took them here for a local spot. They got pasta dishes which they said were really good. The service(waitress named Madelyn) was great(service is sometimes spotty). My favorite pizza is Da Bomb; 2nd fav is The Boz. Definitely recommend if you want good pizza! Salads are also really good.

I came here for lunch with a friend recently and had a good experience. Living in Norman, and being an OU Alum, I try to frequent local restaurants before I go to larger, franchised places– so I don’t necessarily come here often. My friend & I ordered one of the lunch specials, which is a personal-sized pizza(enough for two people) and two side salads. The pizza(Hawaiian) was delicious and the side salads were good(not mind blowing, but not terrible) I felt like it was the perfect amount of food between two people. I was really impressed with their quality of service and their AMAZINGSWEETTEA! I love sweet tea. It runs in my veins and this place does it right. The only reason I give this place 4 stars is that their décor is very out-dated. Think 1990’s set of Full House? It could definitely use a refresh for a modern-feel.

Placed an online order at the wrong store. The manager fixed everything for us and ported our order and had it ready in 15 minutes. We forgot one of our boxes and he ran it out to our car to catch us before we left. This is hands down some of the best customer service I have ever seen, anywhere. I highly recommend this place. Oh yes, and the pizza AMAZING as well. We got four different pizzas and all were equally amazing!

Come to Hideaway for the best pizza in OK. The crust is the right amount of chewy, especially the hand tossed. My foot likes the Sicilian, the Sooner Schooner and the ATW. Servers are typically college students and we have always had good service. The place is clean with an odd décor. It is sort of 8th grade art class meets OU nostalgia. The parking situation around the restaurant is horrible so bring change for the meters as There will not be room in the tiny parking lot.

I really love pizza. This place has both my favorite fried mushrooms and my favorite pizza anywhere. The only negative is that they have Pepsi, so no Coke. Since it is a family/college place and so busy, it can be a little loud. However, absolutely love it.

My Husband and I went to the Hideaway in Norman for dinner last night. I do love their pizza. We got two smalls and split them. My Husband ordered The ATW and I ordered The Margherita Hideaway Style. No complaints, both were delicious and worth every calorie! Our server was really nice. It wasn’t the fastest service ever, but it wasn’t so slow that it was problematic either. It was a nice dining experience and we’ll definitely be back.

Moved to Oklahoma recently and finally got a chance to try this place. The side salad is fresh and the fried mushrooms is a must-have, crispy outside and juicy inside. They have a variety of pizzas on the menu to choose from and we went with Little Kahuna. It was very delicious and tasty. I particularly like the bacon feta cheese combination, which gives it a unique flavor. And I also found the hideaway pizza less cheesy compared with the ones you usually get from those chains like papa johns and I am okay with that, although the Chicago style deep dish is one of my favorite too.

I’ve been to Hideaway 3 times now, and as a New Yorker, I have to admit the pizza is pretty good. Pizza shops are on every corner up here, but in Oklahoma, I don’t seem to notice quite as many. Hideaway is a good spot if you’re looking for a wide variety of toppings. I went for a vegetarian pizza — the name I can’t remember now, but it was good. Small portions are great for one person, and you can get pretty much anything you want with make your own pizzas. I ordered a side salad to get started and it was fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is ok — it’s fitting for the college crowd as it’s right there near the university. The night we were in, it was quiet and not very busy, though you would have thought otherwise with the wait and the service. Large booths are good for larger parties, and we had enough room for our group of 5.

AWESOMEPIZZA. After a crazy busy morning at work, the girls and I were starving for lunch. We decided to order hideaway. We got The Boz, it was delicious. The perfect combination of meats and peppers! Their ranch is also amazing. I can’t wait to try a different pizza and write a better review. Next time I will definitely be sitting in and enjoying my pizza there, today we have to pick it up and go.

Every state has that one unique pizza restaurant. In the Sooner state the pizza restaurant of choice is Hideway Pizza. Hideway pizza delivers freshness and tasty food to all Okies. I had the pleasure of taking my family out for father’s day. We started off with the the Hideaway Spinach Salad. The salad was presented on a big plate overflowing with fresh spinach and romaine topped with HIDEAWAY Sweet Spinach salad dressing, toasted almonds, red onions and Mandarin oranges. It was plentiful for the three of us. After finishing up the rabbit food the Boz and BBQ chicken pizza was delivered to our table. The Boz stood out as the spicy flavor from the jalapenos and sweetness from the red bell peppers blended nicely with the Hideaway Red sauce, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, pepperoni, smoked bacon, and sausage.
