Drove to Norman to try out this place solely because of the reviews. It was great. Fast service. Tried the jalapeños, wished we would of gotten 2 orders! We got the burrito and nachos and it was an ungodly amount of food! Sat at the bar by choice, all staff was nice and attentive. Can’t wait to return.

You have to go 5 stars with Pepe Delgados, this place exemplifies a complete laid back yet jalapeño kick college atmosphere. Pepe’s just has that special and indescribable essence that makes any visit unforgettable. The food is delicious(as delicious as comfort Mexican food can get) and the service is top notch. They have an outdoor terrace that’s really neat and prices are really good. This is probably a ‘must do’ if in Norman

You definitely don’t want to leave Norman before trying out this gem! Pepe’s is a great Mexican restaurant that’s affordable and authentic(what else you would want?). You order at the counter, but after I received my food, the staff would come by and make sure the food was right or ask if I needed anything else. The service is wonderful and fairly quick! I had a slight problem with my order, but they were on it right away and brought out a new plate for me. For starters I had their chips and salsa, and their salsa is my new favorite in comparison to other Tex-Mex places. I had their beef fajitas, and my friend ordered their chicken quesadillas. We were both very satisfied with our meals, and I can’t wait to head back to try the quesadillas(they’re his favorite!). Honestly can’t believe I’ve been in Norman for 3 years and didn’t visit Pepe’s until now.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Norman! Not as Tex-Mex as you usually see in Oklahoma but the authenticity isn’t anything you can’t handle! Great service and food! Try the Plato Mexicano — Pork!

Incredible Mexican food. Not joking or exaggerating, this is the best Mexican restaurant in Norman and maybe Oklahoma City, their daily specials, mole sauces, roasted meats and fresh drinks make this a must do in Norman Oklahoma.

This popular Campus Corner spot serves up some of the most flavorful Mexican dishes – not TexMex. Expect it to be busy but don’t worry about finding s place to sit, the friendly staff are very attentive and will make certain that you always have a seat and that your needs are met. What to eat? Anything! The super nachos are unlike any you’ll have elsewhere.

I cannot explain the delicious food at this restaurant. Make time to come here if in Norman and I guarantee you won’t regret it! Definitely fresh Mexican food(«NOTEX-MEX»). It’s amazing and I’m heartbroken I don’t live here so I can eat here every day.

We finally went here for the first time last week. It is more of a true Mexican food place not texmex and on campus corner. The meal sizes were nice and the beans and rice were both great, but I feel our chicken and steak both lacked much seasoning. The margarita tasted good but nothing special. We always seem to go back to tarahumaras after trying others for Norman Mexican food, but they are different it’s more of a texmex instead

Favorite Mexican restaurant in Norman! Fresh ingredients, not covered in cheese, lots of vegetables, friendly owner and staff. Our kids love the patio and the food.

Probably your best bet for Mexican food if you’re on Campus Corner. Pepe’s is a great place for pre-game food and drinks. I would definitely recommend stopping by and having one of their awesome burritos.

This place was amazing, not from Norman nor do I live here. Just stopped for a overnight. The place was different, you place your own order and seat yourself. The food was on point, my wife got the chicken nachos and I got the Rajitas Pocante, it was really good and the steak was cooked very well so when I bit into it it fell apart. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, staff was super polite and nice and very helpful on navigating the menu. Muchos Gracias

Stopped in here for the first time after a quick trip to Texas… based on Unilocal reviews. Once again, sound advice from you fellow Unilocalers. We were driving and still had to make it back to OKC so I appreciated how quick the device was. You walk up and order your food and they bring it out. The margaritas were yummy! I am vegetarian but had about five options on the vegetarian menu. We made our way out to the enclosed patio and enjoyed our dinner. It was really good and fast. We were on the road in no time. Full and happy!

We went to Pepe Delgato’s on a friends recommendation and man oh man did his friend status go waaaay up. It was simply the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The Chorizo Nachos and Fried Jalepenos were amazing. Also had a quesadilla that was perfect. Nothing was bad!

Fast friendly and good food. Didn’t come to you cold and you don’t leave hungry. Parking is a bitch though and if you don’t get there early enough you’ll be walking a distance to eat great Mexican food. Also, the Margaritas are a little strong…

Best Mexican food in town. I go here so often they know us and have watched our kid grow up here. My only problem is that they are not open late! Of course if I ate during normal hours this wouldn’t be a issue. They have really good guacamole. Good quality meats with solid flavor. They have really good Mexican rice; I know that sounds odd but it is rather difficult to find good rice! The staff is great. The owner is a wonderful guy and you always see him working in there helping out with his employees which is always a good sign. We particularly enjoy the back patio with the fountain. The kid loves to dance to the music out there. It’s very family friendly and a local hot spot. Very, very busy during meal times. And is one of the rare places on campus corner that actually has its own designated parking lot which is really rather nice because parking can be a pain.

My all time favorite restaurant been going here weekly for the last twenty years. Authentic mexican food, not your texmex clones.

Gah. Yum. It was my first time here so it was a little overwhelming because I couldn’t decide what to eat, there are so many delicious options! Note: you order at the counter, all the way in the back. They have menus to the side so you can grab one and stand aside so you don’t hold up the line. Napkins, silverware and Togo boxes are all out for the taking. There’s a salsa bar next to the drink cooler. Everyone was very friendly! The food was fantastic. Super fresh, not super heavy. I love the use of cilantro and onions in pretty much everything. No chimichangas here! You’ll find nachos and quesadillas but true enchiladas in corn tortillas and meat dishes with yummy sauce. I had the #19, Rajitas in Chipotle sauce. So so so good. So smoky and spicy. The black beans and rice are great. I’m glad I only ate half so I can eat the rest for dinner. The one thing that would set Pepe’s over the top is homemade tortillas! That was a bit of a bummer.

I enjoy Pepe Delgados. Unlike most mexican food restaurants in Oklahoma, you’re not going to get a «set-up» of chips, queso, and salsa, but instead you’re going to get a more authentic mexican food experience.(This is not to say that I don’t love Tex-Mex too.) Being a year-round Normanite, the summer is the best time for me to go to Pepe’s because I can find parking pretty easy. I usually order the chicken taco salad, which is an «off-menu» item, and a side of fried jalapeños. The friend jalapeños are where it’s at! Delicious. I also love the variety of salsas they have. There’s a nice covered outdoor patio in the back or you can sit inside. It’s a pretty chilled out restaurant that serves delicious food and has stood the test of time on campus corner. I will definitely be back and I recommend this place to anyone.

Came to Norman on family business. It was great to get away. First, it amazes me how similar this area(what’s it called?) looks to Aggieville in Manhattan. Keeping it looking good Big 12 bros! Moving on. This place was amazing. Everything was so fresh. I got the tamales, beans and rice. Had an appetizer of nachos and a fresh squeezed margarita. If you visit this place often, you’ll already know my problem. But this was a huge mistake. Look people, the portion sizes are HUGE. Between my meal, my dining guest’s and the appetizer I could have fed the entire Gaylord Family stadium! But the food, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. You could tell everything was made fresh in the kitchen. No Sysco truck crap here. SOMEHOW I managed to finish my meal and most of the appetizer in a gargantuan feat of eating. I almost had to roll out of this place. Pro tip, split a meal unless you want to look like the girl from Willy Wonka.

Campus Corner Mexican food institution. I’ve been coming to Pepe’s for many years and the quality has remained consistent throughout this period. Pepe’s has fresh salsa, pico, guac, and a nice salsa bar with some good offerings. Keep in mind you don’t get the traditional«set up» you do at a lot of Tex Mex places in Oklahoma: queso, salsa, chips, relish, tortillas. But, I think this is probably a good thing. At Pepe’s, the food is of greater quality, and since they are a business, giving that stuff away wouldn’t be very wise. I typically get a burrito, either chicken or pork. The burritos are LARGE, and they are crammed full of rice, beans, and your choice of meat. Topped with sour cream, ranchero sauce, and some cheese, they are filling. The pork is flavorful and gets a little crispy from the grill. I think it loses some of its juiciness, but the flavor is fantastic. The chicken, on the other hand, is juicy, and the chunks are good size in your burrito. The burrito comes with some pico and a few chips, so you still get a side item. They are around $ 8, depending on your fillings, and like I said, if you leave hungry I’d be surprised. One must order is the fried jalapenos on the side. I think an order is $ 1.25, but I may be off on that. Either way, they are fantastic. They get a nice char on them and retain the heat that makes jalapenos great. They’ve got a solid and comfortable bar with the offerings you would expect from a Mexican joint. It gets crowded at lunch time, but Pepe’s gets your food out quickly and employees are always around asking if you need anything. So, don’t be turned off if you see a line, you’ll get through it in plenty of time to get back to work. If the weather is nice, check out the patio out back. The world could use more places like Pepe’s…
