I just recently move to Snoqualmie Valley and was referred to Jolene’s by my wife’s cousin who use to live here several years ago. Being a guy with not too much hair you’d think that I wouldn’t care too much who cuts it as long as it doesn’t look like my 8 year old did it but in contrast I do care. I tend to avoid the «male only» type barber shops that are springing up all over because they just don’t do a good job.
Enter Jolene’s — this is an «By Appointment Only» hair salon. This means that you won’t find any walk-​in times so call ahead. What you will get is personal attention from a very friendly and always smiling Jolene. She schedules plenty of time for your appointment and you get personal attention. She also has someone who provides massage (on my list of things to try) and other spa like treatments.
On my last trip the weather was gorgeous so she offered me a chance to have my hair cut outside. She has a chair set up on the back porch with a perfect view of Mt. Si. We were able to sit there and listen to the birds sing and breath in the clean refreshing air of the Snoqualmie Valley while having your hair cut.
She isn’t as cheap as the hair cuttery mills you find in strip malls but you get a superior hair cut. She also isn’t that expensive either. Let’s just say that you get what you pay for and skill doesn’t come cheap. My hair runs in the $ 30 – 40 range with tip. I’ve been to places that charge upwards of $ 75 dollars that were not as good as Jolene so as you can imagine I’m pretty happy.
