I came into this DD in the morning and ordered a Brown Sugar Oatmeal. When I received the oatmeal it came with fruit. I am from NY and if you order a oatmeal there, they give you the fruit on the side, so you can either eat the fruit without the oatmeal, with your oatmeal, or not at all. I was not that bothered that the fruit was in there. What I was bothered by was the fact that the oatmeal had way too much water, like when you cant see the oatmeal until you deep sea dive for it with your spoon. Also the water was warm so the oats were not expanding, so the oats were hard and sticky. When I asked for a replacement the cashier got stuck on the fact that(in her mind) the oatmeal come with fruit. Not only did I have two other complaints about the oatmeal that she did not hear, when I proceeded to tell her that at other dunkin doughnuts the fruit comes on the side. She argued with me that what I was saying was not true. I am sorry but I grew upset with her. I think it is inappropriate that she asked me a question«why didn’t you tell me you didn’t want fruit» and when I proceeded to answer«at the other dunking donuts they put it on the si-» she cut me off with a loud«no» and began shaking her head and talking over me explaining that it does come with fruit. I do not know her life, but if you ask someone a question, you should allow them to answer the question instead of cutting them off and talking over them. As a result I told her«I am done with this conversation». She continue to tell me two more times about how the oatmeal comes with fruit. If that is the case(and DD’s in NY avoid all the drama by putting the fruit on the side) then that is fine. But this DD should at least post the item on their menu indicating that it comes with fruit(white and red cranberries or something). How does she argue with me about what an item comes with IFITISNOTEVENPOSTEDONTHEMENU??? So bizzarre

I drive up and down Route 1 pretty regularly. I enjoy a good cup of coffee as much as anyone else. I understand that in certain places that are very busy(fast-food, Dunkin’, Starbucks, etc.), sometimes my order will get messed up. That’s just the cost of doing business that I’ve come to accept as a realist in my 20s. I have never received what I wanted from this location, and I’ve been several times over the past few years. Nobody I know has ever received what they wanted, either. Actually, wait, that’s not true. Once at like 6AM I stopped and got a blueberry donut that was pretty good. Anyway, there’s another Dunkin’ about two miles down the road and there’s a Starbucks practically across the street; the other Dunkin’ even has a drive-thru so you don’t have to stand in line with the plebs. I don’t know why I keep going back to this place and trying it again. I guess convenience? Or maybe I think that after the 5th messed up order, the law of averages will kick in and the service will be good. If you want coffee, don’t go to this Dunkin. If you only want blueberry donuts, I guess you’re good to go. I’m reminded of the Lewis Black bit about candy corn and how every year he tries it, thinking this will be the year that he enjoys candy corn. And guess what, dear reader? It’s never the year for candy corn.

I have to give this DD special credit for their munchkin selection. I’ve been to some where they only give three varieties in the box — even early in the morning. There are at least five but maybe six varieties that I picked up this morning. Smaller than some other DD’s, but still clean with friendly, quick service.
