Applebee’s

I would not recommend going to this particular Applebee’s for a couple of reasons. Ryan (bartender) was the worst bartender I’ve ever seen (I’m a bartender myself) For being a vacation spot with families having money you would expect the employees to be attentive and respectful, making their vacation and shopping time more enjoyable. With that being said we all sat at the bar and he immediately prompted with would you guys like a perfect margarita? A 22 oz beer on tap? Nothing along the lines of a hey guys how are you my names Ryan what can I get for you? On top of that he was never behind the bar! Never made a conversation, and never smiled, NOT ONCE! I had to ask to have our beers refilled because he was too busy sitting at a table with another employee on his phone drinking a soda, while we were the only ones at the bar. What blows my mind is that an EMPLOYEE MEETING was happening the next table over. And that kind of behavior and treatment of guests is okay even with a manager there? Last but not least he never put a receipt in front of us until the very end, when we were still drinking and ordering food. Seemed like he just wanted to close the tab and get the money since I said my beer refill was «okay for now». Overall horrible service and left us feeling awkward at the bar, something that makes people never want to come back to that particular establishment again.

I have no reason to believe that this restaurant has changed much in the 2 years since my last review of it, but this time the service we got was so slow and careless that we left unhappy. I would hope this is an anomaly though, because the table behind us had an obviously different (better!) experience.
Unlucky me, I guess.

Exceptional services with great food. We live in the area and most other restaurants in area are way overpriced. Great price for what you get.

With so many great local eateries to choose from, I should know better than to visit a chain. Got the Jalapeño lime shrimp from the Weight Watchers menu. Really should have googled nutrition info first. So salty it could not be eaten. 2950 mg of sodium. Got it to go, otherwise I would have sent it back. Nasty
On a positive note, the bartender was great

The club sandwhich was soggy and salty as all hell. Got a soda and it tasted more like carbonated water. Overall, it was a quick snack stop anyway so I wasn’t expecting much. But, because I have a buddy of mine who works for the joint, I was expecting much, much more.
