Food: 5 stars Service: 2 stars Ambiance: 3 stars Value: 3 stars OVERALL: 4 stars This probably would have been a five star review if the service wasn’t so off tonight. Food was excellent. Beef lettuce wraps and Caesar salad for starters. Wraps had tangy beef with picked vegetables and a nice cabbage/slaw like mix, very good. Cesar had crispy parmesan on top which was a nice touch. Flap steak for my main was incredible, melt in your mouth good with just the right seasoning My daughter loved the Cuban sandwich. The Pièce de résistance in her opinion was the S’mores Sundae with most brownie, ice cream, hot fudge, nested in still warm perfectly browned marshmallow. Food was great. Unfortunately our really nice server was not having his best night. Very slow, had to call him over several times. Forgot to tell us there were specials(overheard too late from another server), dressed my side salad when I instructed otherwise, never asked my my temperature preferences for the steak, pretty much fully misunderstood my order(which he corrected complementary later). We were there for 1:45m, most all of that time waiting for our food and wondering what was taking everything so long. Will happily give them another chance given the quality of their food though

My husband had to have low salt meals and Chef Dee altered the menu to accomodate him. Food was excellent. We go there every time we are in the North Conway area. I highly recommend this place. The watermelon gazpacho was great.

This place was great! We had them cater dinner for a girls wkend. The choices were great from the beef lettuce wraps to my favorite the Thai duck wings! They delivered the food and the price was right! Can’t wait to have the duck wings again!

Stopped by here for dinner with my boyfriend. They made very good steaks. The daily dessert tiramisu would definitely surprise you.

Excellent dinner. It was a slow Friday night of Memorial Day weekend. Perfectly cooked pork chop with peaches polenta and fiddle heads. Also very tastey scallops with Beluga lentils and beet salad. Service was very good. Would recommend for a dinner when in the area.

Conflicted with this place. Pro. Had a reserved table waiting for us on a busy night when they were actually turning people away. Con. It took 20 minutes for the sever to greet us or bring us waters.(I don’t blame her. It looked busy and she had some big tables she was working. So I’m not sure who I blame but I blame someone) Pro. Spinach artichoke dip had good flavor. Con. Spinach artichoke dip was very soupy and served with pita bread which isn’t exactly absorbent to suck in the liquid. Our entrees were good. I just don’t know if they were worth the money. I wasn’t a huge fan of their menu selection. A little too eclectic for my taste. Everything seemed to have fresh ingredients though which is a big plus for me.

Walking through town we decided to stop in for lunch — best decision. We had a window seat which was a plus but the food was perfect. The beef lettuce wrap appetizer was so tasty, I could have had that for my meal alone. We got simple turkey sandwiches and burgers for lunch but both were delicious, filling and so fresh. Service was great too! Hope to go back.

Round two, even better thanks to Nicolai, the best waiter EVAH. We scored a two top at the window. We loved our charcuterie with a new addition from last time, the quince paste, YUM. We opted for light bites. My chicken sandwich was loaded with flavors. My man’s Cubano was delish and the house cut fries, divine. Service was flawless and unhurried. I was in serious pain due to a snowboard injury and Nicolai got me a bag of ice. Sooooo nice. We will be back next season. Thanks Chris and team for an amazing winter dining experience, times two.

This is a cute, little restaurant with good service. We were lucky enough to get a window table(there’s only 2) so we could people watch while enjoying our meal. The complimentary bruschetta is tasty and comes out immediately upon being seated. We tried the New England Chowda’ & the Naan Bread with Spinach dip for starters and we’re pleased with both. The Chowda’ had excellent smoky, bacon flavor and the Naan bread was warm. Onto the entrees; a chicken Caesar wrap and bistro burger. The Chicken Caesar wrap was light on chicken but still good. The burger was fantastic — the jam that comes on it adds a bit of sweet & spicy flavor that makes it great. We both upgraded to the fries; I had plain and my boyfriend had the seasoned ones both were extra crispy which we liked. My portion of fries had lots of small bits instead of big steak cut fries whereas his were all big. overall great food-good size portions and excellent flavor. Just hook us up with better fries next trip and this could be a 5!

I am not sure what is French about this restaurant(which advertises it as such). Most of the menu can be described as fusion. We did try the duck confit. It was completely overcooked and salted too much. Dear chef, please take note and get your cooking temperatures and salt levels in oder ! The steak fritte and the Asian beef salad were good. And Nicolai is an awesome waiter!

We walked into an empty restaurant, while Applebees looked packed! Whats wrong with these people?! Anyway, Chefs Bistro did not let us down. We started with beef lettuce wraps(Yes) and roasted cauliflower(big Yes) with an awesome house made tomato jam. It may have been an empty restaurant on a tuesday night but the cooking was on point. I also had roasted beet salad(Yes); roasted beets, diced, arranged over watercress with goat cheese, let me note here, Importantly — On the charcuterie and cheese board they have humboldt fog goat cheese, which is pricey and very good and was listed as the accompanying cheese on the beet salad, our server came out to tell us that they«were out of the humboldt fog and could substitute a lesser quality goat cheese, or any other cheese I’d like.» This is a good sign from a kitchen folks, many chefs would have made the substitution without mention to the guest. I accepted the substitute of the ‘lesser’ goat cheese and it was great— Moving on, we also had the special lentil coconut curry soup which was outstanding and the house made ‘lentil veggie burger’ which seemed to be mostly lentil and black bean, topped with sliced jalapeño, we added avocado, it was outstanding, great veggie burger(Yes). Lastly we had the chocolate mousse and it was awesome! The front of house staff was very nice, our server lacked some education of the menu and its ingredients, but whoever was cooking on a tuesday night was executing nicely. Great restaurant for the Unilocalers hopefully the locals figure out what good food is.

Back in Boston waiting on another winter storm, still enjoying the memory of the meal I had with Joyce at the Chef Bistro the night before. Joyce had the chicken picarra. I had the steak frite. The chicken was 2 full skin on boneless breast over pasta. Being a good husband I help finish her dish and it was great. My steak was tasty and the fries were great. They had a lemon flavor to them. Jamie the manager was attentive and her staff was friendly and hard working. Dinner was reasonable and portions were perfect. Look forward to seeing Jamie again and exploring more of the menu.

An oasis of bistro food in the snowy north. High quality dinner, prepared simply but delicious. A couple of dishes could have used a bit more seasoning. Excellent service. Food took some time to prepare, but that’s a good sign. Might be pricey for the area but not out of line with suburban-Boston prices. Reservations recommended.

Stopped here for lunch on a wim and what a great experience! For an area that is very potato and steak heavy — the bistro had unique menu that impressed my whole family. We ordered the duck confit app, tuna app, mushroom Mac and cheese, their soup of the day which was a curry squash and the hummus. All was wonderful. Even my dad couldn’t stop talking about the food and this style is totally out of his comfort zone. Definitely take the time to stop by. Their cocktails looked good too but didn’t have a chance to try one.

This is a gem, tucked away in North Conway. The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming, and the food exquisite. I got the scallop appetizer, I will rave about it for a while, THEBEST! My husband got the Cesar wrap and loved it. I tend to want quality and this has it. Prices very reasonable. I will definitely visit again, soon.

We popped in there on whim and we were glad we did. Our waiter Nikolai was fantastic, knowledgable, and attentive. We started with the beef lettuce wraps and roasted cauliflower small plates, both were awesome. We got free bruschetta, also awesome. My wife loved both the Habanero margarita and the lemon mint spritzer. For dinner I had the steak frites which was unbelievable. My wife had the charcuterie chefs meat and cheese board. She thought everything was delicious and added on the local honey, quince paste, pickle assortment, and olives. Kids had the fish chowder and Mac and cheese. They loved both! For dessert we shared the chocolate mousse, raspberry Napoleon, and the cheesecake, all of which were fantastic. Overall great experience. Great atmosphere, good for kids, clean, a little pricey but well worth the money. All food was fresh and locally grown which showed in its quality. Can’t wait to go back!

First off — they’ll let you sub zoodles for noodles. Whaaaat? Yes! Also, deeeeeelicous! The roasted cauliflower app is amazing, I mean just off the charts. And they subbed my pappardelle for zucchini noodles as a low-carb option — awesome! Hubs got the Cornish game hen with the cauli in curry cream sauce which were both amazing — he was raving over the crispy chicken skin. Even the pea shoot salad was great! Really tasty, healthy place with gluten-free options. It used to be a deli(same name I think) but they redid it and it’s a restaurant now. Wanted to make that note in case someone(like me) almost didn’t go, thinking it was still the deli.
