This place is a hidden gem! The whole family loved it so much from the first visit that it has become a Saturday morning tradition. Try the chicken fried steak and eggs with biscuits and gravy. Or the French toast. Either way you cant go wrong.

If your in the area this place is a must! Very fast little to no waiting and we ordered for five people. Portions are huge for the price. Everything taste great and my coffee cup never went empty. Definitely will be returning to try something else on the menu.

Their customer service is great they are very friendly. We have been visiting here for the last 10 years I have had reason for a complaint. They go out of their way to please my picky child and I never have to ask for refills including water like I do in other places. I recommend this Pancake Palace to people all the time.

Best place for breakfast! :) Huge menu. Plenty to choose from. The portions are pretty large so everyone gets full.

Service here is AMAZING. Everytime we come the food is on point. The Purfect diner experience. We cant wait to try more yummy menue options in the future. The staff treats you like family, always a full cup of coffee without being asked. Now the coffee is great too! Pancake Palace a wonderful place to try.

There’s basically nothing better than this place for a delicious diner style breakfast. The Captain started bringing me here and now I don’t want to go anywhere else for breakfast on Sunday morning. Highly recommend the bacon and cheese omelet with hash browns. The bacon is crispy and generously sprinkled throughout the omelet and the hash browns are golden, brown and delicious. I’m trying the apple waffle next time!

Friendly mom and pop style diner. Had the eggs benedict. Eggs were slightly overcooked and I asked for my english muffin extra crunchy and the waiter brought it to me barely toasted. Overall flavor was really good though. My friend had country fried steak and biscuit and gravy which he loved. No breakfast item over $ 10 large portions also.

I’m not from Sacramento, but every time I visit I definitely make sure I eat here. This place serves delicious food for reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this place and they have weekend and holiday specials! Great customer service as well. Definitely coming back.

This is one of my favorite breakfast places in the greater Sacramento area. This place has an old fashion feel to it, where you know everyone on a personal basis. My coffee cup has rarely gone empty when I eat here, and the food is excellent.
Let my start off by saying that the customer service here is fantastic. The staff here are friendly, and will chat with you if you sit by the counter up front. There can be a wait here somedays, especially the weeknd mornings, so be prepares to wait if required.
The portions here are fairly large, and truly delivers breakfast for champs. My favorite is the steak and eggs, which has never disappointed me. I’m a huge hashbrown fan, and i’ve been served perfect hashbrowns every single time. They have some seriously killer deals here weekdays and weekends. I’m a regular here and would recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Love this place! Excellent good, and great service. This is definitely a mom and pop shop. There are a ton of regulars that come in, and there food is really good. I love their breakfast. The portion sizes are a lot larger than most place, and I almost always have leftovers.

Idk where to begin. Because there are somethings I like and I don’t like. I guess I’ll start when you walk in. The place is very outdated. But they make up for that with the size of there servings. It’s more of elder crowd. They have a lotto machine and a scratcher machine inside. They prefer that you seat yourself. So a lot of the times you don’t get service in the same order you walked in the door. That also goes for when you want to pay. The older crowd will cut if you let them. I don’t want to seem rude arguing with my elders so I let them cut. The food is great got to admit. Just don’t like the whole seating deal and paying your bill. Also it’s so outdated to the point where you feel the tables are dirty but you watched them bus it. If you know what I mean.

Chicken fried steak was over cooked, poached eggs had almost no whites left with them, but French fries were great. Service was very friendly and efficient which was saving grace.

Have been here twice and able to take advantage of their weekday specials. Staff is friendly and efficient. Food delivered quickly and hot. Nice portions. Like the sausage links. Seems there are everyday regulars. Will be back.

Had a coupon from our kids school booster program so we decided to give this place a try. It is a time warp back a couple of decades as far as the décor go, but that added to the charm of this little gem in North Highlands.
It was more than half full with customers, our food was served quickly, staff is friendly, large portions and prepared how I like. we took what we couldn’t finish to go and we will be back.
Based on the prices and some upcoming specials we over heard the staff talking about, we will probably bring the kids next time.

I personally love this place. Hasn’t changed in 30 years. Food is always good. No matter how busy it comes out in a timely manner. When you always see Highway Patrol breakfast meeting here… you know it’s good.
Biscuits and gravy or chicken fried steak are my favs.
You will not find a better old school breakfast joint at this price anywhere.

This place is quite the little gem!
We were looking for a place that served good waffles during the evening and happened to stumble across reviews for this place. When we arrived at this quaint café, I can’t remember how many times I’ve driven by this place without giving it a thought of trying the food.
We sat down and I ordered coffee. I’ve been to plenty of breakfast places where the coffee was less-​than-​palatable. I was quite surprised with the freshness and full flavor of the coffee they serve. It was quite a wonderful surprise.
We ordered the all-​meat omelet and the waffle combo with strawberries. The waffle came out slightly crispy on the outside, light and fluffy inside. It was cooked perfectly. The strawberries complimented the waffle perfectly. The omelet came with a stack of pancakes. The omelet portion size was generous and the pancakes were fluffy and flavorful. Overall, the food was very good.
Service by the two waiters in the café was top-​notch. They were very attentive and made sure our drinks were refilled without us asking.
I deducted one star for the dated interior of the restaurant. Don’t let that deter you from getting a good breakfast meal at this wonderful little café. We’ll definitely be returning! :)

For us, the food was good, but nothing super special. We didn’t order pancakes or any of the normal items, so maybe those are outstanding and we just missed the mark.
What was awesome? The service! The waitresses were attentive and super friendly. They don’t miss a beat when topping off coffee and we never had to ask for one single thing! Seriously, she was way ahead of us and just knew!
Overall a nice little mom and pop spot. We will definitely be returning to try some other menu items.
