Naya Smog Pros

This place sucks. I brought my 1980 Camaro there to get a Smog Check and it failed. Which is understandable and not their fault, but here comes the thing. They told me that they have to take out and rebuilt my carburator for around $ 500-​$ 550 and that they would not charge me for another Smog Check when I do the repairs with them. They tried to make me feel that this is great deal, but actually they totally tried to screw me over. I went to another place to get a second opinion and the guy just glanced at the paperwork and told me very confidently that according to the numbers he can assure me that there is NOTHING wrong with my carburator. To sum it up: don’t bring your car to this place, you will just throw money out of the window!

Was going to go to Joe’s based on all the reviews here but the place was packed. Went with my backup pland and drove a little further to Naya. Great experience. Only $ 31 total with a coupon I googled. Guy working there was cool. Got my car out in like 20 minutes. What more do you want from a smog place?

I would give this place a ½ star if I could. I unfortunately got ripped off here after being a loyal customer for over 2 ½ years. Very disppointing. It is truly hard to find a Honest mechanic that won’t rip you off. Lesson learned

I can quibble with the service but not the result or the price.
Took my car to get smogged early in the morning so I could get to the DMV to only make a half-​day out of the trip. Pulled into Naya ’cause the place I was going to go down the street (that quoted me a $ 50 fee) was still closed.
It took a couple minutes after pulling into an open bay for the guys to even acknowledge me. Then, after the paperwork is done, I’m told the smog guy isn’t even there. I waited for about 30 minutes and was just about to leave when the smog tech rolled up and started working on the car.
Within 20 mins, I was on the road. Car passed and it cost $ 38.
So-​so service, but I would give them another shot before totally bashing them.

Yes, they are VERY nice and friendly but that is not a reason to trust a business. Reviews/​Automotive Business Bureau/​Friends referrals are a reason to trust a place. Just check Naya’s history like I wish I did. I wish I never went to Eddy Perez and his workers. They are dishonest and do shoddy work. When I first stepped foot in this place my car was running perfectly fine and I just need some repairs to pass a smog test. It took them nearly 5 weeks to finally get my car to pass a smog test and just one week after I got my car back, it’s dead. I took it somewhere else this time, totally needed to sever ties with Naya and am told my car needs a new engine! Plus these guys were trying to get me to replace my fuel pump to the tune of $ 500 and my new mechanic says my fuel pump is fine. These guys are bad and although I believe in karma, I’m taking taking action against these guys. Check their record! Avoid!

This place is THE place to go if your car needs to be fixed or smogged. I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla now but in the past I drove OLD CLUNKERS that were constantly falling apart, and Eddy the owner NEVER screwed me over and the prices were ALWAYS lower than other places. Can you believe there is an HONEST mechanic in L.A. This is the ONLY place to go for your car!
