Gary’s Dogs

We took a quick trip to the beach. We wanted a little something it was like two thirty we were meeting some friends for supper we needed just a little bite or two. In to Gary’s Dogs we went. A walk up window type place with a small patio in the back. The weather was still a little cool but warm in the back out of the wind. We chose two dogs and fries. Mine was mustard chili​-cheese​.My wife’s was mustard chili and Slaw, A good fresh made white slaw. Gary’s fries tasted like a hand cut fry that had a good taste, lightly salted in a brown sack. He brought us our food out on the patio. We found out Gary is from Maine, A nice guy to talk to. He told us his dogs come from with no fillers so as the taste of the meat came out. We enjoyed our dog’s and our visit with Gary. The menu had several specialty dog’s and burgers {I’ll have to go back for them later}He did tell us he had just opened for the season two day’s earlier. Our food was good just what we needed.

This is a must stop place for u standing hot dogs and burgers. It’s truly a one of a kind place.

This place was an awesome surprise! My wife, 2 kids and I were just looking for a small snack and actually looped back around when we saw this place. The hot dogs were just as amazing as the service. The owner (I think) came out and made some small talk with us and made sure everything was to our liking. I’m coming back for Christmas weekend and hoping to stop by at least a couple times.

We stopped here for lunch today. We are locals but it was first time at Garys. The hot dog was delicious but the fried cinnamon sugar pretzel was out of this world. The owner was very nice also. Definitely 5 stars

We love this place! Had the Carolina dog and it was excellent. They’re dogs have an unexpected firmness that when you bite into it it pops with flavor. You must try the fried sweet dough «pretzel». Unlike an ordinary soft pretzel, it’s made with sweet dough and tastes amazing! We had it with salt but I bet the cinnamon sugar would have been even better. The guy beside us ordered a bacon wrapped dog dropped in the fryer with a fried egg on the bun. It looked delicious. The owner is very friendly and staff was attentive. We will definitely be back!

Killer dog. Had the Good Morning — bacon-​wrapped dog, fried egg, cheese & onion. Super tasty. Fries & onion rings were both very good. Service was fast & friendly, too. Definitely going back.

First time trying Gary’s today. Gotta say, the dogs were great and loved the steam buns. Ordered a cinnamon/​sugar pretzel and it came with a side of maple syrup to dip. Fabulous!!! Service was great and the owner even came out and took out pic with the hotdog mascot!

Fabulous dogs! Try the Carolina, it’s scrumptious! The buns are so warm and toppings all fresh!

The people here are great and the food is delishhhh, try the deep fried pretzels and the sausage dog!

I prefer burgers to hotdogs and Gary’s Carolina burger is very good. As good as the burger is

So good! The corn dogs are amazing as are the regular hot dogs. Finish your meal with a cinnamon sugar pretzel!

Absolutely one of the best places to eat a lunch in Myrtle Beach! Fairly priced, good food, and very friendly owner (s)! You won’t be disappointed!

Great place to eat. Their hot dogs are the best. Great pulled pork BBQ. Some times they have lobster rolls. Yum. Definitely recommend this place.

We liked this little place. All outdoor seating, most of which is behind the location. I got a NY dog with onion rings and fries. They were all tasty but the best food that Gary has is the homemade cinnamon sugar deep fried pretzel. Super yummy! Gary is super friendly and cares about his customers. So nice to see people grateful for patronage. Help the little guy out and stop by!

I work next door and frequently walk over. The service is top notch and the folks are very friendly. The hot dogs are northern style, but this southern boy loves ‘em! Huge variety and I hear that they are going to have lobster rolls soon. I highly recommend to locals and tourists looking for a quick bite. Love the way they chop their onions!

We stopped by for a quick bite before heading out on the beach for the day. Very reasonably priced and tasted good. I do wished they were grilled instead of boiled but we all enjoyed ours!

Visiting from out of town and really wanted a hot dog at the beach. This place was perfect. In fact, we ate here twice in one day. Probably not great for the figure but didn’t hurt the wallet. My favorite was «the good morning.» Bacon wrapped hot dog with fried egg and American cheese on toasted bun for only $ 2.50ish. Only outdoor seating but this place is great for what it is. Gary was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Not a bad little joint. A little street vendor selling hotdogs, pretzels, slush is, etc. I had the BBQ dog – hotdog wrapped in bacon smothered in BBQ sauce, cheese, some onion, and I added jalapeños. Have to say best dog I’ve had in a while. Only outdoor/​patio seating. A few different drink options, (tea, soda, juice) didn’t notice any alcohol. The owner is from Boston area (thick Boston accent, redsox visor, redsox decals all over) so the variety of hot dog choices is extensive and all are served on a New England style bun which I love! Prices are pretty reasonable for the area, all in all I’d go back again for sure next time I’m back in Myrtle and in the area, but this isn’t a meal to go to far out of the way to get too.

o wow am i glad i finally stopped here, i went back two days later! great «yankee» dog. its a kayem frank, same one they serve at Fenway park. it has a great pop when you bite it, i like his chili, and the fries are great!
