Delicious food & a great atmosphere. Mostly suited for a good date night or groups of adults, but well worth the trip!

My husband and I have one vacation a year– in our 60’s and have a business that keeps us busy. We have always come to this restauraurant– our favorite in the area– we enjoy the seating at the edge of the waterway. For the past 3 years we have been seated there with our daughter on some occasions. Last night 6÷22÷2016 we arrived and asked to be seated at the waterfront for 3 people. We have done the 3 people seating for 3 years. Last night the hostess said that it was not available for 3. And was very harsh with my husband. We have spent thousands eating here and the hostess was very unfriendly and unwilling to work a table for us. I don’t know who she was was but was older than the other two young girls that were willing to work with us. I’ll miss this restaurant but the customer service was rude.

Wasn’t impressed with this high-end restaurant. First the waiter was half there. This was 5:30 Thursday June 16 party of three. Sat by window sun came in he didn’t know how to adjust blinds and didn’t seem to care. Sister-in-law got the dish with the succotash there was a large chunk of rotten potato in it. Showed to waiter he offered more not a replacement or a comp for this. When we paid I told him to keep the amount he came back and threw my change on the table as if it wasn’t enough. For his actions and personality his tip should have been a dip in the water.

Usually go for happy hour. Great food. Love being on deck but inside is enjoyable as well. Music in the evenings by the water is also great. A good place to sip a cocktail or a glass of wine!

While the food was good, the high prices have to be attributed to the building and views. On a not so busy night, the wait staff was slow. We hope we had someone in training because the person refilling the water glasses kept handling them by the rim — where you drink from. And one glass was actually cracked. So much for Tripadvisor’s high ranking — go somewhere else.

Went during happy hour on a Saturday. The bar menu was very extensive and food was really good. Only complaint was that the red wine we ordered was a little too warm for my taste. But service was quick and our server was very attentive. Will definitely go back as the bar menu is really a steal.

Delicious food and great location. The setting is classy overlooking the water. Just beautiful. The salad at lunch was perfectly dressed and tasty. We ended up going back for dinner and had another great meal in the bar area.

I had a horrific experience here and even wrote to the manager of the restaurant Scott Grau who has yet to respond… I will never go back here. We came to this restaurant to enjoy an amazing dinner at Barefoot Landing. We went outside to enjoy the music and the scenery at what is said to be one of Myrtle Beach’s top 5 restaurants. The dinner started OK and we were greeted by a waitress named Kristie once we sat down. However it quickly turned south upon delivery of the wine. When we ordered our wine Kristie attempted to open it and use the corkscrew to pull out the cork when it was only half screwed in. Naturally it broke, and Kristie ran in to sort the issue. Ten minutes later she came out with a decanter and the wine in it and said this was our bottle and it had a bit of cork in it but she filtered it out. My husband and I are wine drinkers and cork bits floating in our $ 50 bottle of wine were not acceptable. I actually said to her«I’m sorry but you will need to get a new bottle, there’s cork bits floating in that.» I then pointed to the bits I saw. The moment I said these words our night was ruined. Kristie gave a huge huff spun on her heels and NEVER turned up again. A new colleague came over to open and pour the wine. She managed to open it but poured it all over the table while having my husband try it. Our food arrived and my beef special was so overdone I didn’t eat. The filet literally looked like beef jerky. No one came, no one asked if all was ok, no one helped so we couldn’t get it fixed. Kristie was going around to all her tables in a huff and wouldn’t come near us and since her abandonment the only person who came to help was the buss boy/water boy who actually gave us our bill. My husbands steak was nice and I took ½ of his for dinner. We were so upset we called it a night. We had our wine bagged, and walked out paying our $ 136.88 bill with no tip, which I have never done in my entire life. I made recommendations: 1. Hire staff that can handle customers. Hire older staff as well as local college staff. Having all young servers in a high end restaurant isn’t good. Our waitress Kristie was a mess and took it out on every table she had. She abandoned ship and didn’t even hand our table over to anyone else. We were left to fend for ourselves. That was not ok and should never happen. 2. Teach staff how to open a wine bottle or invest in the wireless electric ones. 3. Be able to pour wine without destroying the table linen 4. Teach staff that once cork is broken up and in the wine DONOT try to serve it. Get a new bottle 3. Do a deep clean of the whole restaurant. The place was a bit tatty and a place that charges these prices and is supposed to be the best should have wine glasses the shine and plates that don’t have hardened bits of food from being dried in the dishwasher. Replacing these the moment they are put in front of you is a bit off putting.

Location is perfect, on the pier viewing the boats and the water. It was a little pricey but the Food was amazing! Great steaks! Strawberry shortcake-Establishment was upscale looking and well taken care of. We sat outside and it was perfect with the fans. Live music, suttle– nothing too crazy. Blueberry sangria was so yummy! Great portions! Loved this place. Will return, definitely a must see.

We went for lunch and found the prices very reasonable. Had the burger which was excellent. The inside is well appointed and you get a nice view of the water. Service was very good.

Went here for Mother’s Day…(we had been here for lunch before and the food was pretty decent.) Not so much this time. First of all whoever choose the plates that they use, should be fired or be made to eat off of them forever. They are shaped like a sail and so large and obnoxious that my dad said he couldn’t reach his green beans because they were to far away. My sister ordered her steak«medium» and it came out rare. After having to take it off her plate and send it back, it returned looking exactly the same. I had to question whether or not the grill had actually been turned on when they put her steak back on it. My brother-in-law had the crab ravioli and the sauce was watery and the pasta undercooked. It looked frozen TV dinner that had been under-microwaved. When you pay this much for a meal, you would think the food would, at the very least, be properly cooked. The waiter never once refilled the iced tea and then he blamed it on someone else that he «shared tips with». I gave it 1 star because my steak was actually cooked correctly… even though everything on my plate was barely warm… along with the fact that something I ate there gave me horrible diarrhea. I’ve read comments about the ambience and have to agree as long as you sit outside on the patio, it’s very nice out there and the view of the water is pleasant, but the inside is very dark and sorta smells like they had a water leak under the floor for a VERY, VERY long time. It reminded me of the smell you experienced while standing in a very long, winding line, at a theme park water ride. Save your money and go elsewhere. There are too many other, less expensive, restaurants to choose from.

This is my first time here. I ordered the Stuffed Crab Ravioli. The pasta was undercooked. There sauce was a water red soup. The crab was cold and not seasoned. Overall the meal was less than appetizing. I would not recommend this you anyone looking for a meal that was made with any care. 2 stars because they at least had a Newcastle.

Found this place by accident and we were glad that we did — beautiful view of the water while savouring flavours of the meal and enjoying wine. Everything we ordered was delicious too — salad, bread, entrées and dessert. Only tip I have to share is that when ordering wine, insist you keep the wine menu. That way you can confirm that it’s the correct bottle, so you won’t be so surprised with the bill as we were. As it was both the servers and our mistake, we were grateful that we did get a bit of a discount. However, it made what would have been an affordable meal into a very expensive meal for us.

Made reservations for 10 and got seated right away no problems. Staff was attentive. The salad were huge everyone liked them. Had the large calamari it was good. Steaks are cooked on a wood grill and it leaves a smoke taste and smell that we weren’t crazy about.(Like my ribs smoked my steaks seared) A few of us got green bean sides that were so salty we didn’t eat them. Sent one of the steaks back that was underdone took forever. Went to the bar for an after diner shot got charged $ 32 for 2 Patron shots $ 37 with tip(seamed kinda expensive). Overall the place was nice I might go back sit by the water have a drink and some appetizers.

Atmosphere and décor excellent. Food and wait staff excellent as well. Extremely comfortable seating. Nice view. But most importantly food was delicious. I ordered the spinach salad and the tuna ahi over risotto. My husband ordered a steak. And we both are every morsel. The cheesecake was delicious as well. I would definitely recommend this place.

Started with the spring rolls and had the filet mignon. My father had the prime rib. All were delicious, but the prime rib hit it out of the park. Beautiful décor and request a booth!

Arrived for dinner at 9:40 on Saturday night, April 2 — google says you are open until midnight — your website says you open for dinner at 4:30 with no close time given. When we arrived we were greeted at the door and told«we are closed» — when asked when they closed we were told 9:30 due to «business decision» — we assumed maybe lack of customers? At any rate this was very disappointing as we eat here every trip to Myrtle beach and it has become a part of our couple night out before heading home to Tennessee. We were very disappointed at the lack of consistency in posted vs actual hours of operation. Sam Sneed’s Oak Grill & Tavern was happy to serve us upon arrival there at 10:20. We stayed for well over an hour — enjoyed it very much, and likely will never go back to Greg Norman’s. The menus are similar, and Greg Norman’s has the outdoor ambience, but the service at Sam Sneed’s is second to none — Alex guided us capably through our culinary evening — Steaks for my date and I, wood grilled asparagus, amazing adult beverages from the full bar — the food was amazing and outdone only by the service. Be advised, Greg Norman’s — we loved giving you our business but if you continue your practice of arbitrarily closing early you are going to lose more of your customers than just us — and Sam Sneed’s is fully capable in taking that business. I gave one star due to extreme disappointment — didn’t have the opportunity to rate the food this trip — I will post our amazing experience at Sam Sneed’s later today.

This was a memorable dinner. The restaurant has a great ambiance — it’s spacious with floor to ceiling windows that overlook the waterway. We ordered cocktails, the filet, salmon and sides of the garlic potato mash and the bourbon sweet potato mash. Everything tasted amazing and we felt welcome to take our time and enjoy the evening. The only downside is the restaurant is towards the back of Barefoot Landing and not easy to find. We definitely will be returning. [ss]

We got a $ 75 voucher from Wyndham for sitting through their pitch. Otherwise prob would not have chosen this resto. Located in Barefoot Landing it considers itself to be a bit more fine dining than the other places around. Prices will reflect this. Space is dark and cVernous with dim lighting. Views of the marina were lovely though. Wc is good bec the wait for good will be 30 – 45 mins. House made bread was crusty and perfect, keep some ready to mop up jus! Caesar salad is huge for $ 8, look to split that. House made dressing w real yolks and anchovies so it rang tasty and true. Hubby had 14oz prime rib wc was excellent buttery and up to par. Alas my rib eye was over done on the grill and this is supposedly their signature steak. I got a maybe ½−2/3 thick cut, but well instead of medium. We would’ve felt gypped if we had to pay in full for this meal.
