Let me start by saying that this place is not inexpensive. It costs as much as a good meal in LA or NYC. However, for being nestled into a strip mall in the middle of North Myrtle beach, it’s as good as it gets. I have eaten all over Myrtle and north myrtle beach, New york prime, ruth’s chris, thoroughbreds. They have nothing on this place, best steaks in the city. If you have the time try the chefs tasting menu.

Bad decision for New Years Eve Have been to SeaBlue a few times. Other than the prices being as high or higher than NYC restaurants, it’s good but not that good compared to a true 4 star restaurant. On New Years Eve they hiked the prices so much a dinner for 2 was 300 with tip and little wine. $ 79.00 for a steak is a little much. SeaBlue has left a very bad taste in my mouth for that. Telling people in advance would have been the prop thing to do.

Incredible place! Service was awesome and the food was the best I’ve had in Myrtle Beach hands down! Although it’s pricey the portions are filling and the quality of food unsurpassed. Eric was a great waiter. Give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I found this gem thanks to Unilocalers. The place does not look like much from the outside. We the oysters Rockefeller and beet salad for apps. I had perfectly cook scallops, fillet with a bleu cheese spread, over caramelized balsamic pearl onions, green beans and finger potatoes. She had grouper over risotto. The wine list was impressive, the bourbons aged, and the staff friendly and attentive. A wonderful experience. This is not your normal Myrtle Beach experience. Leave the kids at home.

AFTERLEAVINGTHISREVIEW I WASTEXTEDANDTHREATENEDBYSOMEBODYREPRESENTINGTHERESTAURANT. STAYAWAY, EVIDENTLYTHEOWNERISVIOLENTANDHASDONETHISBEFORE, READTHEOTHERLOWSTARREVIEWSANDTRIPADVISORREVIEWS, HEHASHOSTILERESPONSESANDOTHERSHAVEBEENHARASSEDVIAPHONE/TEXT. To preface my review, I live in Philly and bounce between there and NYC regularly, eating at higher end restaurants every week. On the website it says it has stong NYC and Philly roots(Philly and NYC restaurateurs would be highly dissapointed in the overall restaurant presentation). To start with the good, the waiter and service were excellent and the food was good, no complaints there. What really made my experience sub-par was the fact the restaurant felt confused on its identity. 1) the food menu is buried inside a 30+ page wine menu. I’ve never experienced a more overwhelming menu, I was hesitant to even open it. Plan on browsing the menu for at least 20 minutes, it’s a bit obnoxious for lack of better terms. 2) don’t look at the menu on website, they change their menu weekly but the website menu doesn’t match in the least, they blamed it on the contracted webmaster(if you know the problem, fix it. Get a new webmaster, we are in a digital age that people like to look before making a decision) 3) first time I’ve ever been in a «high end» restaurant that has TV’s with sports games on behind the bar, are you a sports bar or nice restaurant? 4) there was high top table seating. This again is very sports bar /TGI Friday’s feeling, not to mention they are in the front of the place so they block any and all views by people sitting at tables and booths. We looked at a tablecloth and other guests legs the whole time. The GM should be on top of these things and have the knowledge to identify and fix them. Food and service was great if that’s all you are looking for. But for a restaurant at this price point, it is severely lacking on the proper atmosphere.

So the wife and I were trying to decide between the Aspen Grill and SeaBlue. Ultimately we decided to return to SeaBlue and have no regrets whatsoever. We arrived early to enjoy a couple of Tracy’s great adult beverages,(Manhattans straight up with Knob Creek Bourbon) We used OpenTable to make our reservations and our table was ready promptly at 7:00PM. Typically I would start with their foie gras, but their appetizer Jamón Ibérico de Bellota, caught my attention. If you’ve never had this Spanish gift to the world, it is well worth trying. It comes with an assortment of Mediterranean olives and a wedge of really nice sharp provolone cheese. My wife had her signature escargot and loved them. She also ordered the Fruit of the sea, and all I heard were ooo’s and aah’s as she enjoyed it. I ordered Surf & Turf with a filet and blackened shrimp. It was prepared perfectly, and the portions were perfect. One of the things I love about SeaBlue is their Sommelier. We ordered a bottle of Conundrum, but unfortunately they were sold out. So he immediately recommended a 2010 Vouvray La Craie. It totally exceeded our expectations! We finished the evening with a perfect Crème Brûlée, and a really nice Tawny Port. One last note if you are a Bourbon lover like me they have the largest selection of Bourbons I have ever seen.

This is a rare, truly fine dining experience in the Grand Strand area. I was surprised to see a beautiful Iberico ham on display behind the bar when we walked in for our Thanksgiving dinner. Their menu options are gourmet and the taste, presentation, ingredients, offerings and service were all top notch. We were very pleased. For dinner, I had a pheasant special and my wife had a generous lobster tail. Also, we tried the Iberico ham for an appetizer, and it was a worthwhile experience! Eric was an excellent server and very helpful and enthusiastic. I even left my credit card behind and they were helpful in getting it back to me. A must-try if you are looking for a five star experience. Don’t be deterred by the strip mall location!

I have to say. My wife scoured the Unilocal Reviews on this place. We did find a dish that sounded delicious. We made our reservations and were set for a grand evening of dining. I was taken back a bit by the setting of the restaurant. They had wall bench seating with tables and chairs on the other side of the table. These were all in a row. Not a very intimate setting at all. Tables were close and you could eat off the persons plate at the table next to you. Now this would be ok if the meals were $ 14.00, but not so in this case. First off, it took them forever to bring out the water. We looked over the Menu, i opened up my Unilocal App and told the waiter, this is the dish I would like prepared. He said that that was not on the menu, but the menu for this place was on Unilocal. He advised me that they do not change the menu’s on Unilocal. What ??? Kidding Right. No he was not. He said the menu changes from time to time. We did leave and took our dining to another establishment. I really did not feel this place had the right atmosphere for what they were serving and charging. they tried to cover it up with blue lights. May work with other people that are not experienced in high end dining, but not with me.

We went on Tuesday night for dinner. The server was very good and the food was fantastic. We order 4 oz ham(their specialty) and it was to die for. But it was $ 60 dollars!!! I ordered duck breast entrée which it served with green bean and small potatoes. It was cooked perfectly but the portion was quite small. Overall it is a great little spot and I would definitely be back. However, I d give 4.5 stars if I can. The only downfall was the price. It costed us more than 500 for 4 people.

Awesome food and service too. We had bone in ribeye, delicious and blackened grouper for me. Fresh baked bread to start. Desert menu is small but excellent choices too. Ok if fancy-schmancy is not your cup of tea… then eat somewhere else. This is by far the best restaurant we have been to in Myrtle Beach. It is not a chain restaurant yes it’s in a strip mall… so what! This place rates with some of the best restaurants we have been to in NY, Vegas, San Francisco, LA… chef takes pride in his special dishes and wine selection is amazing. Expensive yes but worth the money hands down. Our server Chris made great suggestions and was very pleasant. No stress. We’ll be back. Oh don’t forget Hilary who greets you at the door is super too. Thanks all!

This place was a great find! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The place was rather busy so we were offered a private romantic table for 2 which was perfect for the birthday dinner we were there for. We started with oysters Rockefeller and scallops Rockefeller and the were both exceptional. The fresh crusty bread was warm and delicious. Then we shared the evening special which was blackened grouper with a wild mushroom risotto. This dish was mouthwatering. We are looking forward to our next visit to the beach and enjoying another fabulous meal at Sea Blue

I read through some of the other reviews and I laugh at reviews that denigrate a company based on being in a strip mall or for a waiter(allegedly) missing something. I personally like to rate restaurants based on the food quality, friendliness(judging based on perfection of service is asinine because we all make mistakes… its the friendly apology and remediation of an issue which should be judged. Good companies have trained their employees to handle problems properly.), atmosphere etc. First let me point out that this place is small and well decorated. I was comfortable wearing nice jeans, dress shoes and a collar dress shirt. That is the normal attire you will see inside. The wine list is extensive and expensive. They have some of the nicest wines in the world including some great frenchy and napa wines. I settled on a napa caymus and it turned out to be one of the best bottles I have ever had.(Caymus 40th Anniversary Cabernet.. 1 liter bottle… unreal!!) Well worth it! We had a large table and we only heard great reviews on the shrimp n grits, mini sliders etc. I ordered the charred caeaser salad and it was good. By the way… the waiters were silent magicians. They slid in unseen and unheard poured drinks, refolded napkins, etc… I threatened to give them a box of tictacs… seriously. My beam n ginger magically appeared as did my wine glass taster. They were very accomodating and friendly. Per my opening paragraph I will tell you that they accidentally gave me salted caramel for my dessert gelato when I ordered espresso. They looked exactly the same… it was no big deal… they immediately corrected the mistake and I got a free bit of salted caramel. So what? Other reviewers flip out about this kind of stuff… what elae are you mad about? That rain is wet? This is no big deal when accompanied by a correction of the mistake and friendliness… which it was. Anyhow… the reason for the 5 stars is the protein. I ordered a center cut filet mignon with garlic and mashed potato spread. I ordered my filet rare slightly to medium and they absolutely nailed it. I’ve eaten at michelen star restaurants and I havent found a better cook on a steak. Thr garlic was roasted in olive oil making the cloves butter and I could add some garlic and potatoes with each bite of steak. It was absolutely delicious. From the wine and steak alone this place deserves five stars… the friendly staff and good dessert put it over the top as a restaurant I highly recommend and will definitely revisit next time I am back in Myrtle Beach.

If you like fancy-schancy with average food then this is your place. Very overpriced for what you get –I’m talking Manhattan type pricing in a strip mall in South Carolina.(Whaaaat?) The atmosphere was weird, the regulars were definitely retirees with random younger women at the bar that looked to be waiting for ‘conversation’. My $ 50 steak came Cooked wrong, rare when i ordered medium well. They corrected it, but thinking for a 200 dollar meal a manager should have stopped by to apologize. Nice presentation but none of the food was great. They have an augratin potato that was pretty good, but be sure your waitress remembers to bring it. Ours didn’t. The 2 stars is because the small restaurant in the strip mall is nicely decorated.

My fiancé and I tried SeaBlue for a date night dinner recently and we were both impressed. From the front of house experience to the atmosphere, it was well put together and made for a nice night out. We were given a large booth for the two of us that could have easily sat 6. We had made reservations so maybe that’s why we got the nice seat? It was nice to be a little secluded. I will agree with another reviewer who said that the 8.5×11 binder menu cheapened the experience somewhat. It’s a small restaurant; it wouldn’t be too large of an investment to get some nice menus. Fresh bread was offered with balsamic vinegar and olive oil — very nice. We ordered the crab cake appetizer, which was served as just one medium cake and had a really nice chipotle aioli. My dish, Fruits of the Sea, was phenomenal. It was a seafood risotto with lobster tail, scallops, and shrimp. I think the menu should be a little clearer — it was actually only 1 scallop and 1 shrimp. It felt a little stingy but I got over it when I tasted how fresh and delicious the dish was. My only other complaint is that the side dishes are advertised as «for two» but they served our potato gratin on my fiancé’s plate. It was probably more like a large portion for one person. To round out the meal, we had the cherry, blackberry, and peach crisp. Flavors were great, but I would have liked it a little more with a firmer topping or more of the oatmeal filling. We spent $ 200 for the food plus tip(we also had a $ 35 bottle of wine) and overall I thought it was well worth it. Take a break from all the chains in MB and get in here for a meal you’ll enjoy.

The food and service were phenomenal! We came to Myrtle Beach for my birthday and my girlfriend found this place from other reviews. As soon as we walked in, we knew we chose the right place! Great atmosphere, the seating is intimate! The couple next to us were praising the chef as we decided on what to order. The recommended the Fruit of the Sea but they said everything is so good! Drinks were on point and we both left more than satisfied! Eric our server was so personable and helpful with explaining the menu! A must go to while in Myrtle Beach!
