At least once a month I will stop to get lunch there and alway taste good and owner is great. Today was my first time that the sandwiches we ordered didnt taste right to us. WHen we called, they offered right away to deliver us new sandwiches and threw desert in it. The speed of service and professionality got us impressed and it was greatly appreciate that i didnt need to leave office again.

Had the Meatball sub and it was really good. Small place, made my order quick and good! Great little spot for quality food IMO!

The pizza they sell by the slice is their Sicilian, which is probably a thicker take on New York style foldable pizza. It’s really quite good, with a nice chew. Italian Beef is a staple, and also very good, as are the burgers and dogs. I finally wrote a review because of the tacos. Soft, authentic corn tortilla, lettuce, cilantro, grated cheese, and two kinds of sauce. I can’t believe I’ve been coming here for years and missed the fact that the tacos are better than the Mexican place next door. Much, MUCH better, as in the beef is not overcooked. No retried beans, but one can dream that if they sell more Mexican, they’ll begin to offer it. Before I finish, I have to mention how friendly the owner is. It’s nice to be remembered!

This place has really gone down hill in the last few years. It used to be my go to for slices and mozzarella sticks but the slices taste like they use Mexican hot sauce and the sticks changed to the frozen cheap kind. Meh

Tried Marios Pizza with a groupon deal, pizza is pretty tasty and wings are good… I always tried to support small business since it’s a tough economy out there… Definitely will be back for more great foods.

Sad to say but at Mario’s things just aren’t as good as they used to be. Pizza can still be considered good but everything else has gone wrong. Hot dogs are the worst. Sandwiches are just ordinary. Food is almost always cold by the time it gets delivered. When I called to complain the owner hung up on me. Twenty years ago it was a great hot dog joint. Now it’s just ordinary fast food junk.

Decent and cheap. Dont go here expecting really good food but it is far from bad. Their fries are actually pretty damn good. Everything is really greasy which is bad or good depending on the individual. just a chill dive. you could do worse

Mario’s has always been a staple for me and my friends. The food is great, reasonably priced and service is fast. The inside may need a remodel, but everything else makes it worth it.

This pizza sucks! Domino’s is even better than this place. It might be good for their other offerings, but stay away from the pizza.

Been in northbrook 35 years and never tried this before. Just went there tonight. Slices are big but that’s good because I don’t have to order a second. 1 is enough. Anyhow it was pipping hot and tasted great. Had pepperoni. Very good. My new favorite Pizza. At least for slices. Not bad for 3 dollars and 50 cents. Regular whole pizza is too expensive in my opinion. But 1 slice is reasonable and very filling. Will def go back.

First, let me say I have been eating here for like 14 years. I absolutely love eating here. Even with a change of owners, the food, staff and ambiance is exactly the same. I am in love in the pizza, and cheese fries. The pizza slices are nice and hot and huge, and the cheese is just brilliant. The crust is huge and tasty. The fries, I think, are hand cut and seasoned amazingly. I love eating here…

This place is my home away from home. I eat here probably 4 to 5 times a week and it never gets old(I am not fat lol). Whether I’m in the mood for a full slab of ribs or a chicken dinner or would rather save a few bucks and get a huge slice, there is always something to fill my needs. The pizza speaks for itself. The extra thin and thin are top notch quality, as well as the Sicilian and pan style. The stuffed is without a doubt the best. Have tried in all of Chicago and it’s surrounding communities. The same goes for the beef and steak tacos. The quality of the food for which you pay makes the meal even better. It’s no where near the healthiest place around, but that’s not why you eat there. You go for an experience. The experience of great food with even better service from the great people behind the counter. The best part of Marios is the relationship it makes with it’s customers almost everyone is a regular, and it you eat here you will be too!

I love their gyros, hot dogs and hamburgers. Pretty much everything on their menu is delicious, and there are a ton of options.

Of all the local«low costs» pizza joints around, Mario’s definitely has the best pizza. Always cheesy and fresh. Been eating Mario’s pizza for years and never had a bad one. It is also probably the best buy around.

Much like the reviewer claimed below, this is indeed a hot spot for GBN students around the lunch hour during the week. The best times to go would be around the dinner hour or on the weekends. The food here is definitely above average for standard fast food fair. Growing up, I definitely loved their pizza the best. Their thin crust pizza is stellar and will never disappoint. The hot dogs and polish are also pretty tasty as well. One of Northbrook’s longer lasting independent joints.

It’s a hot dog/burger/pizza shack. Nothing more, nothing less. It seems fairly popular. The service is satisfactory, and they have four tables and a 13-inch TV. Oh, and today’s Sun-Times. Two specific points bear mentioning: 1. The pizza slices are enormous. For $ 2.80, I expected a modest size and ordered two. I am a voracious eater but could have stopped at 2⁄3 of the first one. At the end of slice #1, I was full. Halfway through slice #2, I realized that to finish would require a timeout at the local vomitorium. Usually a generous portion is a bonus, but… 2. The pizza is terrible. The crust was hard and cardboard-y. The slice overall had no flavor and the whole thing(crust, sauce, and cheese) was dry. Sahara-dry. This was 12:45 and I can’t imagine that it had been sitting too long. There is hardly a wealth of workday lunch options around here(north Glenview) but I won’t be returning.

Mario’s has been a Northbrook mainstay for many years. Be weary orf planning on eating«in» around lunchtime, as the place is likely to be jammed with GBN students. Great sandwiches, pizza and hot dogs. «Real» French Fries and tasty tacos. The staff is great. Terrific lunch spot. Portillo’s, schmortillos… the best Italian beef in the northern suburbs!
