Love the big 3 lb lobster. A must try. Even the smaller lobsters are great too. Would be nice if they offered the $ 1.00 oysters at happy hour for outdoor seating but they don’t. Their competitor Rockin Fish does serve the happy hour oysters outside

Awesome location! I just wish they had a better menu & updated the interior. When I can’t sit outside, I find myself resistant to sit inside because it’s so dark & unwelcoming.

Cute little place on Main St. in Northport. Seemed like a local crowd in which everyone knew each other but were very nice to my friend and I when we visited. I can only speak for the happy hour there but it was enough for me to give it 4 stars. Although they didn’t have the largest selection of beer, there was an IPA on tap which made me happy. What made me even happier though was the DOLLAROYSTERS. You have to order even numbers of them, which is fine because 10 happens to be an even number. 10 oysters = $ 10 where else can you get that! They were fresh, delicious, and one was the size of my hand. I need to find a reason to get myself back out there for more oysters!

Came here and had the French onion soup which was great and a burger which was boring and very dry. Food was ok but the service was nothing special.

Had lunch on the front deck before, that was actually pretty good, dinner… not so much. Service was pretty slow, not super attentive, but not terrible. I ordered the gnocchi with lobster and it was pretty disappointing. The lobster is teeny and almost impossible to remove from the shell. The lobster removal is made all the more difficult by the fact that it is drowning in the cream sauce which was supposed to be spicy but was not. The gnocchi was doughy and I would bet the farm it was a frozen, store bought variety. The sauce was fairly bland and flavorless without any real spice. Avoid this dish! My daughter ordered the veggie burger, she said it tasted like a bland frozen variety. My son had shrimp and pasta and was satisfied with his dish. My husband had chicken parm, very thick cutlet, not the best. We saw a party order the lobster and mussels dish, that looked amazing, our meal was not. I would recommend sticking with salads and sandwiches here and if you’re hungry, the lobster and mussels dish, otherwise, expect frozen foods reheated. Love Northport, just not this restaurant.

I’ll begin with the service — it was inattentive at best, neglectful at worst. In order to get a seat, on a quiet night, the hostess had to be «made aware» that we were standing in front of her waiting to be seated. The drink orders were taken. Upon the time for ordering, no specials were mentioned, despite there being a sign with them listed at the entrance. I ordered the Fish and Chips, and my friend ordered the Chicken Parmesan. The Fish was thin, crumbly, dry, over-battered and fried far too long. The Chicken Parmesan was mediocre, with overcooked pasta. In order to get a refill on water, it took a ridiculous amount of time and effort. I was not asked if I needed a refill on my beer, thus it was unnecessary to give them anymore money. I will not be coming back. Unfortunately, I was looking forward to trying this for a decent amount of time. Going through some other reviews, the service seems to be a sticking point.

Weirdest place ever but I would have given a good review if it weren’t for the b*tch blonde hair extention bartender with the terrible attitude. Don’t roll your eyes at me when I ask for water. If I’m driving, I will drink, but I also am responsible. Youre Sad. Get a clue. Then to charge us full price for every drink, and not buy back… Sorry not sorry… you’re the worst.

Food is really good. Service is substandard likely due to the very young age of the servers. Shame. Ruined an otherwise good experience. Never refilled drinks. Disappeared. Went at noon. Not crowded. Could not have been a break. Just poor service.

Well, I give it four stars mainly because I got the lobster & mussels special — pretty hard to screw up. But the lobster was cooked perfectly and I loved the broth the mussels were made in. My girlfriend had a burger, said it was slightly overcooked, but otherwise good. I would definitely come back here — I want to try the lobster gnocchi next!

Very good place! Came here today for lunch and found the food very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive as well. We ordered the baked clams, steak, and lobster tail. All were delicious. The baked clams especially so, they had a nice crunch to them that set them apart from other baked clams I’ve had. Would definitely recommend them to others. The lobster tail and steak were very good as well. I didn’t touch the carrots or broccoli that came with the meal(you could blame my parents for that) but everything I did eat, I enjoyed. Overall, I’ll definitely return to this place next time I’m in town.

I like this place. Like, not love. I did love the baked clams. They were whole clams with panko breadcrumbs and they were as perfect as it gets! My salad was really great as well, it had cinnamon goat cheese and honey walnuts. I added grilled shrimp which were awesome. If I went by my dinner alone I would say that this place was great but my friends dinner was not that great. He had the stuffed flounder, rice and broccoli. He said it was very bland and that the rice tasted strange. So all in all, I was happy, he was not.

meh such an average place. As a vegetarian, there was really only one thing that I could eat one the menu so I got the veggie burger. It was just average, the bread was bad, fries were decent. They wouldn’t give us beer because the tap wasn’t working so we order a pitcher of sangria for 4. It was wayyy to much for 4 people and it didn’t taste great. Not impressed.

Have gone here over the last 10 years or so and it has been gradually improving. Recently I have been going here for the $ 1 oysters they offer at the bar. These are bluepoint oysters. They simply do not get any fresher. I have had my fair share of oysters and these are my favorite. The waitress at the bar is not super friendly but she isn’t red or anything so I will accept it as long as she keeps the oysters and beer coming. Lat time I went I also ordered lobster and mussels for $ 12.95. For that price you might expect just a piece of lobster but to my amazement they served a whole steamed lobster along with mussels is a garlic white wine sauce. Freakin yum. So other sides come with it but you really don’t need it. If you ask they will bring you bread which is good for soaking up the tasty garlicky sauce.

Delicious lobster and mussels for the relatively low price of 17.95! An even lower price of 12.95 on Mondays and Tuesdays. Service was good. It was nice to eat outside overlooking Main Street and I could see the harbor from where I was seated. Nothing special about the décor on the inside though.

Overall, the entire experience was horrendous. My wife and I wait all week for the one Saturday per week to have a nice experience out at a restaurant. It’s quite a shame that a restaurant can be so bad that I can safely say that it ruined our Saturday night. Here is the basic sequence of events, with no exaggerations: Got warmly greeted by the hostess and are told it will be a 15 minute wait. We instructed her we will be at the bar The bar did not offer one craft beer. The most interesting beer, per the bar tender was yuengling. A beer selection is usually a good barometer of how the rest of the experience will go. In my opinion, if a restaurant doesn’t pay attention to the OBVIOUS demand of consumers for beer other than bud, corona, heineken, and the other norms, then they are likely not paying attention to a lot of other more important things. This proves to be very true. The hostess makes note shortly after that we are next, because no one that she calls to be seated seems to be at the restaurant anymore, per the hostess. 20 minutes later she comes to the bar and says«do you want to sit at the bar, because I called you and you didn’t answer.» I told her that that’s because she didn’t call our name in the bar area, where she knew we were. She felt dumb and seated us After 10 minutes of waiting, a waitress came over in a huff to take drink orders. My wife, in her usual fashion proceeded to ask her 15 questions about the menu, but you could tell that the server just wanted to get out of there. Anyway, we placed our order at this time, due to our fear that it would be another 15 minutes otherwise until we had the opportunity to do so. 10 or 15 minutes later the bread(the cheapest loaf one could by) and the French onion soup arrived. The soup was ok. It was very salty. The butter had a sour milk taste to it, most likely due to poor refrigeration. I went to the bathroom. Then my wife went. We both noticed that they have hot plates of food in plains sight, sitting around, covered in plastic wrap, waiting to be brought to the tables. REALLY? Lots of time passes, about 50 minutes until the waitress checks in and tells us that our food will be out in a «second». Literally, 1 hour and ten minutes after our order was placed, a runner instructs me that they are out of mashed potatoes and offered me a baked potato instead. I accepted. Ten minutes after that the food arrived. My wife’s lobster was fine. How bad can it be, assuming it was alive 20 minutes earlier and all they had to do was steam it? Her, broccoli was GROSS. It was freezer burned. That’s just pathetic. My chicken gorgonzola was gross. It was slopped in a greasy sauce over a bed of now greasy spinach, with a plain baked potato. The potato was the best part. I asked a different server for the bill because at this point it was after 10PM and my pregnant wife and I needed to leave this place asap, especially because we both felt sick, both from the food and the service. In addition to not paying attention to the restaurant itself, it’s likely that the management won’t pay attention to this review either. This review, and most of the others are all very similar. If they cared, or were somewhat intelligent business people, I would think that they would respond to the reviews, either on Unilocal or similar sites where the reviews are also horrible, or by fixing the restaurant.

I have come here for lunch a few times, not for the food but for the atmosphere. I go here in the summer because I get a warm feeling being in here, between the sunshine pouring in the windows, the interesting layout and the wooden booths. It offers a nice country feel, very not New York in a good way. An old village feel if you will. They have a cute outdoor area as well. As far as food goes it’s been hit and miss and the service has been iffy as well. Don’t expect to be blown away but every so often you might be. The bar area is nice and has always been busy.

I came here with my friend on Cow Harbor Day. It was PACKED. Our waitress took a little while to come over to us, however after she came over she gave us really great service. I got a lobster roll which was really great. Definitely one of the top ones I’ve had. It had a great balance of mayo and lobster. You do get a decent amount of lobster. My friend had the fish tacos and said they were great. The cole slaw was very good too. The prices were a little bit high, and there wasn’t a great selection of beer, but it could have been because of the day we went. However, overall we had a good experience. I would definitely come back.

After calling around to numerous restaurants in the area to find fresh lobster, everyone pointed us to the Northport Feed & Grain. Apparently, this is the only restaurant in the area that has fresh lobster on the menu year-round. Looking at the photos in Unilocal,it’s clear that the price for the«Lobster Dinner Special» various depending on the time of year. Coming from Phoenix where fresh seafood is hard to find, $ 17.99 seemed like a FANTASTIC deal for WHOLE lobster AND a plate of mussels! And boy was it ever an incredible deal for a whopping 1.25 lbs of lobster! Seriously, I was in heaven enjoying an entire lobster all to myself and the mussels were divine. If you’re lucky enough to enjoy lobster all the time:(1) I’m jealous and(2) this probably won’t be the«best you’ve ever had.» But, it is really good and the price is hard to beat! The Clam Chowder was good, but not quite as fresh and delicious as what I’ve had in San Francisco. The cream base was heavier and you could tell it was made with a thickener(i.e., flour or corn starch). The Fried Calamari was good though more heavily breaded than I’d like. It came with a red marinara sauce that was just okay. Overall: Skip the other dishes and save room for the delicious mussels and lobster!
